I went to Forest cafe and ordered a dedelicious latte. I typically order drinks without alterations when I try them for the first time and I found this a little sweeter than preferred. I'll get it with less syrup next time. The cafe is definitely cozy with a very inviting theme. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area!

    Regular Dalgona Iced

Came here on a Sunday morning at around 10:30am and it was already quite packed! I got the iced regular dalgona coffee (around $5.65) and was able to find a seat to do some work for a few hours. The service was quick and friendly, and I appreciated the self serve water station. There are lots of people studying, and some people talking and catching up. I really enjoyed the dalgona - it wasn't too sweet and the little candy bits on top added a nice crunch. Some of the food items run on the pricier side similar to other cafes, but I would definitely come back to try other drinks and their cookies.

This is a pretty standard IG cafe with aesthetically pleasing decor and Korean inspired drinks. I got to try their dalgona iced coffee, which was good but not much more than a sugary iced coffee. One thing that all the online videos do not mention is the parking. There is not a clear spot to park your car near the cafe, you would have to park on the street nearby at your own risk. I would have considered coming back but parking is quite precarious.

This Korean cafe caught my eye the moment I saw a post about it on social media! From the urban forest vibes, to the beautiful drinks, and all the way to their croffles. The smaller, curated menu always gives me hope because it means the team takes more effort to dedicate to a couple of key drinks/dishes. The croffle was presented so cutely, but it did take a bit of time for it to be ready. Not pictured here was a dalgona latte, but the grapefruit-ade is shown in this photo. I think their fruitades are more of an aesthetic thing - I would pass on it because it just tasted like any other pop. This place gets packed even on weekdays, and one of the frustrating pieces is that it is SO hard to find parking because it's very limited (not the cafe's fault, but definitely a deterrent for me). I also did think the croffles were bit overpriced.

The iced dalgona latte was so good & so nostalgic as it is reminded me of the covid days! I loved the cafe vibes as there is free wifi & lots of seats with plugs available. This is the perfect spot to study, work or catch up with friends. I was greeted upon entry which left a positive experience for me considering the great service.

Came here with some friends for a meet up! We tried some of their cofffles (lotus biscoff - $11~ and apple crisp - 13~) and found both of them delicious! The apple crisp had a very 'apple pie' like vibe to it while the biscoff was sweet! I also had the iced dalgona coffee ($5.25) and found it very tasty as well! The dalgona melted into the ice coffee a bit adding to the flavor and I found that they mixed very well together. Had fun and the cafe itself was super cute! Wish I took more pictures but I definitely like the spot!

Located by the condos, Forest Cafe is a busy local cafe that is not only a great place to chill, but to also grab some bites and drinks. The difficult part about visiting, is probably finding road side parking on the weekends as it's usually full. We came on Sat around 2:30pm, and it was quite full inside. The food menu consists of simple sandwiches, croffles and snacks on display. We opted to try the Beef Sausage Sandwich, Chocolate Croffle, Brownie and Dalgona Coffee Latte. The sandwich was quite tasty - a toasted croissant sandwich with a big piece of beef sausage, wrapped with tomatoes and lettuce. Nothing special, but was satisfying enough to be my brunch meal. The croffle was very tasty, and inside was filled with Nutella - one of my favourites! The fudge brownie was also a hit, it wasn't too sweet, but had big chocolate chunks filled inside. My only complaint was that I wish it was bigger haha. The Dalgona Coffee Latte was also a great drink to complement what we ordered. We got the cold and hot, and personally I liked the hot just because cold drinks usually comes with ice, which would dilute the drink a little bit. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, and need a place to relax. IG: Ayeween

food: 4/5 the coffee here is always great! Compared to other independent cafes, they have a relatively large menu composing of both drinks (coffee and smoothies) as well as food. They also offer oat soy and almond milk alternatives. The dalgona latte here is very smooth and not too milky or sweet, if you like the taste of espresso, this one's a great choice. I believe they also offer online mobile ordering as well, which is very convenient and rare for independent cafes. Service: 4/5 pretty standard coffee shop service. The baristas here are generally pretty efficient and friendly. I do appreciate that there is water available to self serve within the cafe, so you don't need to bother the staff for it. Atmosphere: 4/5 location isn't ideal for a ttc commute and parking is not great... so keep that in mind. However, they really do pack a lot of seating in here, as well as some outdoor seats. There's also a few outlets around the cafe which is a must have for me in a cafe evaluation. If you're someone that values the seating and comfort of the cafe over food, this place may be for you. However, I will note that it does get a bit crowded and seating may be competitive depending on time of day. I've also noticed that every time I've come here it's generally full with people getting work done and not really social gatherings, which keeps the volume relatively faint. Overall such an adorable spot to grab a coffee and get some work done!

Really nice and stylish place. My first time there was a Saturday afternoon and it was packed and I could barely find a place to sit, but another day was a weekday morning and it was plenty spacious and pleasant. Great drinks and even some great food. I had a nice Chocolate Croffle with my Sesame Latte last time. The staff are pleasant and they seem to enjoy their craft so of course I'm game to keep supporting this local biz!

I spent a week or so in the apartments/condos in the area and spent my mornings at Forest Cafe drinking coffee and doing some work. I got to try most of their offerings except for the Dalgona coffee and any of their food. Their coffees are better than other places within walking distance. However, I don't think it's anything special. The cafe itself is very pleasant and aesthetic (korean aesthetics). They have a huge Monsterra plant inside. It's super bright inside with natural light as they are a corner unit with two glass walls. I recommend this place for doing some light work/reading. Would I go back? Maybe if I'm stuck in the area..

This is a cute aesthetic cafe near Fairview Mall with friendly staff. It's a great spot to study, but you'll need to parallel park if you get here by car. I tried the: 1) Tropical Fruit Tea - this tastes so good! It's one of the pricier drinks, but it has slices of strawberries, grapefruit, lemon and lime in it. It also has popping pearls which was a nice surprise. I would recommend this drink. 2) Forest Ade - this is lime and mint flavoured. The flavour is really light and refreshing. Not too sweet or sour. 3) Matcha Cream Cheese Cookie - this cookie has a soft texture with cream cheese filling. I did wish the matcha flavour was stronger though. Overall a great spot I would consider returning to!

Forest cafe for a Sunday afternoon tea, most relaxing and enjoyable. Nice quiet cafe, I ordered a coke Yuzi lemon tea so refreshing, ice was just right. Their croissant was so flaky & delicious, ordered 1 to try first then went back to order a 2nd Dad ordered a royal milk tea which was very smooth, mom ordered a sweet cold brew latte. I love this place !!

We also got two Dalgona Lattes, one with oat milk, and she differentiated them with the coasters, which was such an adorable touch. Now I need to go back just to try more drinks! Parking was free but a little awkward--spots are at an angle, and the plaza can get busy. But honestly, it's worth it. Parking can be a bit busy but usually okay. The service both times has been patient and kind to explain the various options. We decided to go with a milk cake with half lotus and half Dubai chocolate. The cake is soaking in milk which gives it a "wet cake" texture. I imagine it may not be everyone's favorite texture but has decent flavor. The crunchy topping contrasts against the soft, moist cake. The lotus has that nice cookie flavor and crunch while the Dubai chocolate with pistachio offers that chocolate and nutty flavor. I prefer the latter but both are good. We also got a matcha strawberry latte to go. Both really nice to look at and to drink. The matcha has good flavor without being overly bitter while the strawberry provides that fruity sweetness to the drink. Overall, it's a pricier experience but I enjoyed it and will be back.

A recent Yelp elite event introduced me to Kanafani Sweets. I returned for its Dubai chocolate bars. Kanafani Sweets is located in a plaza on the northeast corner of Warden Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East. It's in the same plaza as the Potato Bar. I had no problem finding parking. I pulled into a parking spot in front of the store and walked in. The order pickup area was in front of me. I read the signs and the order area was a few steps deeper into the store. I had the nicest woman who cheerfully said hi. She was helpful with answering my question and offering suggestions. She showed me the qashtuta, which was milk cake. She let me know that I could either get a solid flavour, such as Biscoff, or do three different flavours, such as Biscoff, hazelnut, and Dubai chocolate. Wow! My Yelp experience consisted of having knafeh, which I absolutely love. She said that it could be made soft or crispy. I love crispy. She also let me know that I could get either pistachio or chocolate sauce on the side. I went with the former. For the drink, she shared what was popular. The iced tiramisu latte was one of them. I love tiramisu. I was down checking out an iced drink version. I got a buzzer for my order. The knafeh takes roughly ten minutes to make. I sat in a comfy chair near the order area. It was nice to relax after driving for over an hour to get here. I used the washroom. There's an individual stall for women. It was clean, cheerful, and pleasant. I used it again just before I left to run a few errands before heading home. I watched the buzzer light up. I headed to the pickup area. The nice woman had my order ready. She let me know that I got a brownie bite on the house. It was so generous! I thanked her and headed to my table to chow down. The iced tiramisu latte was exceptional. I got a lady finger that I could dip into my drink. The espresso was a good strength with the cocoa. It had milk. You can substitute the espresso for decaf, and the milk for a dairy-free or lactose-free substitute. I didn't bother. It was nicely iced and a good size to wash down everything that I ate. I loved the complimentary brownie bite. The brownie core was delicious. The crispy exterior provided a nice contrast. It was enjoyable to devour! I loved the knafeh. It already had syrup on it. I got syrup on the side, as well as pistachio sauce. I poured the pistachio sauce over the knafeh. So good! The knafeh had cheese inside. It was stretchy and hot. Over time, the cheese lost its stretchy factor as it cooled. It was yummy with the right balance of crispiness and chopped pistachios with the pistachio sauce. The syrup made the knafeh slightly sweet. The sweetness was perfect for my liking. The knafeh was excellent. I have been trying to find a decent place that makes Dubai chocolate bars. Before visiting this store, most places made their bars on their own, but they were too soft. It was as if I looked at the bar and it melted on its own out of fear. I bought a bar of Dubai chocolate Lotus to enjoy. I paid with a credit card and included a tip because staff are so helpful and friendly. This bar was excellent. The crispy filling had Lotus cookie spread in it. The milk chocolate held everything together. I was impressed. I will be back to get the regular bar next. It's such a gem of a Palestinian dessert place. I'll be back. (439)
