Bowling is always fun, they keep the lanes well oiled and the machines work great. They host a variety of leagues here, everywhere from ultra competitive school competitions to the chillest family leagues and birthday parties, as well as just plain old open bowling, so there's something for every skill level and age. They also have an arcade, as well as a bar and grill. I have never said or typed this sentence in my life, but ORDER THE CHICKEN FINGERS! You will not be disappointed. They were probably the best I've ever had in my life...hand-breaded perfection. This is the bowling alley that showed me how fun bowling could be when I was a kid, then as a student it hosted leagues where I made a ton of friends, and now I get to come here to make memories with a family of my own. So I have been to several of their events they host, either music and food outdoors in the summer…read moreand indoors in cooler weather. Yesterday I went to a music and fish fry indoors. The indoor food first: we got the fried cod and a couple of drinks. I wish I'd taken pictures but the place was crowded and loud so it was a little much to try to relax and hear the music much less have a conversation so when the food came, we ate! The cod was thickly battered but cooked nicely with plenty of tender fish inside so the batter didn't take over. Almost, but not. We got a generously sized baked potato and a little coleslaw. I avoided the coleslaw, but the potato was good and the hot food was delivered hot, which was a refreshing change from some places. Although crowded the service was good. It was a little slow getting our checks but everyone was leaving around the same time so that's understandable. My friend had a nice chat getting to know the waitress at the end. My friend is definitely a get to know you kinda person, but that's beside the point, except I'm sure the waitress will remember us next time we go so that's nice. The music. It was supposed to be an acoustic night but definitely was hard to hear over the conversations which were loud. He did do a few riffs on an electric guitar and I think some kind of keyboard, no doubt so we could hear something, but the room and crowd was not made to be able to hear much. In the better weather these events are louder outside and crowded with 3 food truck choices usually. I look forward to going to those again. I wish I could review the golf course but I've yet to play it. I look forward to trying 9 holes soon. It has three 9 hole courses, regulation length. love to try it out. From the clubhouse it looks beautiful and lots of rolling hills so I'll have to give it a spin this summer too.

We had never been here before, but thought we would check it out for the 49ers/Lions Conference championship game. After this visit we will have to find a new location for games. Whereas they have plenty of TVs, the major one is a projection screen and worked fine, but some of the smaller TVs were not functioning properly. Also, the seating is not the most comfortable. They have a section in front of the large TV with high tables but they have hard stools for seats. The bar has seats, but then you are sitting at the bar. We find a low table by the bar with backed seats. They were also hard plastic. I think we were anticipating too much for a Bar & Grill inside a Freeport Bowling Alley. There were two different bartenders working that night. One appeared to be a bartender/cook while the other filled every other roll. The bartender/cook was kind of rude and gave off the vibe she wanted to be anywhere else in the world and we were putting her out. The other one was friendly and helpful and was a joy to interact. As for the food. MEH. We started with Joe's Tatchos. These were unimpressive and bland. We've had better in many other places. Even the cheese tasted like generic canned cheese sauce. After I had Joe's Smoked Beef Brisket. I wish I had not. It was some of the fattiest brisket served on a generic hamburger bun. At least the brisket was tender and juicy, because there was almost some of the blandest food I've had, this includes hospital and nursing home food. My Girlfriend had the pulled pork sandwich, with the same issue. There was really no flavor to it. Even after adding BBQ sauce they had, neither was satisfying. You go out to eat together. Right? They did comp my clients meal, however charged me full price for Nachos because I ordered French fries, which I only ate few chips out Nachos any way. I feel that was completely unfair, but I was so livid I needed to leave. The meat was god awful. They said it was chili, but maybe caned chili. So freaking disgusting. They did have .99 sodas so that was nice. And their bloody Mary's looked cool.
