Cherry bowl has made some nice improvements recently. Specifically the sitting area in the lanes and the game room are much improved. However, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. There are not enough of them, the leak (which is awful for any bowling shoes), the stalls are so small the toilet paper holder touches you in some of them. The sinks are so gross you feel like your hands aren't getting clean. Also, the pizza is horrible. The rest of the food is good, really. But that pizza is terrible. If the owners put more money into continuing to remodel, this alley could be so much better. read more

THEY ARE RACIST! As soon as me and my husband walked in the manager walked away. Stood at the register for 15 mins! Not one person said anything to me. No greeting or anything. Overall the bowling alley is decently nice. The dude at the front desk is normally extremely rude but the lanes are overall good for the area especially compared to the other bowling lanes in Rockford. The seating is not very good limited chairs if you have a big group. And on Fridays they give away a bike that's been sitting in storage for seven years from Walmart and nobody wants it but you could win it so might make up for it read more

I brought the entire family here on Saturday for a little family fun time. We all had a lot of fun. My youngest had never bowled before and they where nice enough to put up the bumpers for him so he could get the ball all the way down the lane. That's not to say that my wife didn't benefit from the bumpers as well. If it wasn't for them, she probably wouldn't have scored over a 20. I hadn't been bowling in over 15 years, so I was rusty as all get out. The staff was very nice and helpful... as well as understanding because we really had no idea what we were doing and had a lot of questions. The place was clean and it was busy. There were a couple of birthday parties going on while we where there. In the end we had a lot of fun and plan on going back for more family fun time. read more

I visited this place, was a out of towner. The young lady at the counter was nice and accommodating. When at the counter, figuring out the games of bowling, shoe sizes and names she was patient. We completed the process and we went to our lane. We had a great time, nice family place too attend. Pizza was good, as well as the drinks.. Nice family environment.. read more

I went to The Cherry Bowl the other night for their 25 cent bowling. Pop is 25 cents, Beer 50, and hotdogs and tacos are 25. Sounds like a good deal right? Believe me, it's not cheaper than any other bowling because they charge a "cover". The hotdogs are boiled and the whole operation looked rather unsanitary. The bowling was the same as any other. The balls are ok, the shoes are average. The setup was not as good as I'd like. There is no table in the middle. It's just kind of average. read more

My wife and I attended a moonlight bowling event organized by the Veteran's Committee at Chrysler. We had a great time. There was lots of prizes, a raffle, and 50/50 drawing. The staff was awesome! They were very helpful and courteous. We are planning on coming back with the whole family. read more

Lots of parking. Pin reset button needed several pushes during out game. Had a nice 1.5 hour-long special with shoes included that kept the price down. Lots of serious bowlers- kind of intmidating for us amateurs. read more

Where to begin.... Due to my familys' love for the sport, and no other synthetic lane houses in my area, we bowl at Cherry Bowl. We have fonr so for 2 years now. I can honestly say that I have only come across 1 employee that was worth speaking with. This includes the GM, Anne. She is the rudest person I have ever run into that works in CUSTOMER SERVICE. A simple question and this lady responds with nasty, condescending replies. Not to mention looking at you like you're an idiot. These people also have no clue what courtesy os either as fsr as league bowling. Who puts recreational bowlers (teenaged kids) next to a league?? You guessed it, Anne does. If the kids were respectful and showed proper bowling ettiquette, it would be a different story, but these kids proceeded to stand on the approach and drop balls and act like idiots. I assumed that they were family members of Anne's. Beyond that, the consistency is horrible. Start times get moved back and forth. Also, they have AT LEAST 2 pairs of lanes that have constant problems, yet they never address them. We have even had balls damaged by their machines. Overall, we have had miserable experiences with the front counter staff, especially "Anne", and will be looking for a new alley when season is over. On a side note, the staff in the pro shop is extraordinary. They are top notch and very helpful. Please do not use this review as a reflection on them. They do a great job. read more
