Nevertheless, today after receiving an open arms, welcoming introduction to the meeting in this supposed to be quick get-to-know-each-other kind of relaxed meeting, I got to meet the legendary Jodie (and Geoff). I say legendary as I was seriously perplexed in all the positive analysis developed just from quick, focused, and efficient $$$ Jodie was able to jot down and calculate. Although I already have a house, I really feel like just a peon on this chess board of life. Thats why I do not see it anywhere close to the end of my story. I am currently 33 and genuinely not a subject matter expert in anything with mortgage, Jodie was able to translate my sloppy knowledge about mortgage processes and flip it into something I can easily understand. Likewise, she also provided me with not only one view, but actually a few different visions, but again this time with the realistic and workable matching information to my actual life/scenario rather than the poor information I sourced just from google ‍. The whole reason I took a few mins to seriously sit down and write this Yelp review was to display the equal level of respect Jodie and Geoff represented. Loan officer, who I will not state name, mentioned to us a few times that our file is done, is out of his hands, waiting for other department to get back, but is backed up with helping people on their first mortgage and first home. It's either the team knows or don't know what they're doing and/or doesn't have their priorities straight and in order. Think first come, first serve. My husband usually communicates weekly or bi-weekly with loan officer to see if there's anything else that we need to do on our end. Nothing. We have to wait. In December 2020, I told my husband if there's no progress made in January 2021, let's go with plan B. In January 2021, we had a group phone meeting, and we agreed to stay on. After a few weeks, my intuition told me nothing will be moving forward. After having a heart to heart discussion with my husband, we decided to state our valid reasons, say goodbye to loan officer, and go with plan B. We're both hurt that loan officer is someone my husband knows and wasn't a stranger to us. Kindly send a DM if you must know who we had as our loan officer. We will not recommend any of our families and friends. We do not wish to have any further business relations with this company.
