Absolutely fantastic spot on the Klamath. The property is right on the water with a big lawn, and…read morethe location is great near Happy Camp. You can venture out into the surrounding area easily, or just opt to relax at the Inn. The amenities therein are a little sparse, but that's why being so near to Happy Camp is nice: you can easily hit the market up for supplies. The rooms share kitchens, but are separate otherwise. This would be a great place to do a group trip with two or more rooms rented in conjunction. There is also a grill and patio area over near the volleyball lawn. Nice staff, and the grounds were well kept up. For the money we spent, the experience was well worth it.

This is the kind of place you wish you could call home. The rooms are comfortable, but the outdoor…read morespace and friendly atmosphere were the highlights for us. The massive lawn out back extends right up to the river and is surrounded by mountainous forests in the distance. It's a spectacular view especially as the sun goes down. We enjoyed the sunsets on lawn chairs - they are set up under big trees outside each unit as well as in a few other places across the grass. The fire pit next to the water (with chairs and cut firewood) is perfect to chat around as the sky turns dark. The rooms are attached to small but full kitchens which are shared between adjacent units (two rooms per kitchen). We had no trouble navigating kitchen use. There are coffee grounds and a coffee pot in each room, so you won't need to worry about sharing the kitchen if that's all you plan to make. The only issue we ran into was finding shampoo and conditioner (there are no sample sizes here), but there is a market just a 5 minute drive away. Normally we would've brought our own but we stopped for a night here after a week-long backpacking trip in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Theresa was extremely helpful in accommodating all our needs, even allowing us to use her laundry soap and appliances to wash our clothes! We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Many thanks to Theresa and the Klamath River Resort Inn.

I booked a room several days in advance and tried requesting an early checkin to receive no response other than a day or two later being asked "How big and what breed" my dogs were, which was already odd to me as the response did not indicate whether an earlier checkin was possible and rather indicated that there may be breed restrictions that ARE NOT LISTED ANYWHERE on their website, booking.com, etc. Upon arrival we explained the need behind my partners presence due to the fire activity and the woman who answered the phone was sporadic, aggressive and very offputting. Even still, due to being 6+ hours from home, we were going to stay here since it was the only option. The woman turned out to be the "owner" who lied saying she was not on the property to help us but "sure check in early if your in a rush and to figure it out (how would we do that without an employee?) as we could see her exiting the property at the same time. We politely asked for a moment of her time to try and get checked in as she said then on the phone it was OKAY. She was rambling a mile a minute and at this point I decided i didn't feel safe staying here and asked if I could get a refund. She just screamed " BYE BYE BYE BYE " and told me to " get the f*ck off her property " she was very aggressive and I truly have never experienced anything like this. I felt like I was dealing with a drug addict... needless to say I do not recommend staying there. We will be spending the night in the car instead of putting our well being at risk. This woman should be drug tested and barred from owning a business. Any other option would be nicer. She acted like a disgusting person.

The breakfasts were delicious and the ladies in the Pine breakfast room were so helpful, kind and kept the food plentiful and hot. Loved it! Thank you all who made our visit so fun. Not really an obnoxious traffic noise. The rest of the stay .....meh. Check in was fine, efficient and courteous. The desk clerk didn't go out of his way to make us feel welcome or anything, but that's ok given the age we live in. Noone goes oit of their way to be friendly anymore. One of the room keys didnt work when we got to the room, but that wasn't an issue really, since the second key worked fine. Upon entering the room, we were immediately met with a strong "mopped floor with dirty wet mop" smell. You know the smell i mean. The pillows (or maybe the sheets?) also smelled ....uncleaned. Not fresh at all. On our return home from a long day in the sun, neither of the room keys worked. We were also locked out of using the door to the elevator so we had to schlep our weary bodies around the length of the hotel parking lot to the front desk where we were greeted with a " I'll be right back sign" at the front desk. Yup. We had to wait in the non air conditioned lobby for the front desk person to get back. It was the icing on the cake of a bad experience. When we returned to our room, my husband racked his elbow on an obtrusively placed cabinet causing a bloody bruise to swell up. The cabinet placed, mind you, not at the center of the wall between two beds to allow safe passage into the room, but on the foot of one bed, in the entranceway. Picture below. This property has been our favorite for years. They recently changed ownership. The staff walks around like zombies and never crack a smile. If they dont want to be there, then why should we come back? Especially now that the property has had a blood sacrifice. Such a shame. Because I'd do almost anything just for the view.
