MOLDY ! NON SAFE FOR FAMILIES, ELDERLY, DISABLED! DIRTY! Do you love the "vibe" of a Motel 6... but wish you could pay a couple hundred more for it? Then The Logic Riverside might be exactly what you're looking for. Do you enjoy driving 15 hours straight to end up at a moldy smelling, blood stained sheets, motel 6 vibe hotel? The photos online promised fresh, modern, and welcoming. The reality? Dingy, musty, and crusty. The second we opened the door, we were hit with a mold smell so strong it could've had its own zip code. The carpet was dirty and lumpy, the ceiling sagged like it was giving up, and the patio hadn't been touched in ages--covered in spiderwebs and so slippery (not safe for disabled, elderly, pregnant women, kids, or anyone). Housekeeping? Could be better. Toilet paper roll half-used, dust everywhere, pubes in the tub (yes, really), mold around the shower and stained comforters that looked like a black-mold art project. Nothing says "welcome" like wondering if your sheets are contagious. And the surroundings... let's just say there's a full-on homeless camp right next door. The vibe outside makes you want to lock your car doors every ten seconds, and definitely doesn't scream "safe family getaway." We told the front desk, and while they were nice, offered for us to talk to management. The solutions were laughable: switch to another musty room or take a "discount next time." Next time?! As if anyone is lining up for round two. The only halfway-decent part of the place is the lobby, which lures you in before the bait-and-switch. For the price they charge, this is absolutely not worth it. If you're spending good money and actually care about clean, safe, decent accommodations--skip this place. Unless, of course, you're into mold, mystery stains, and locking your doors on repeat. *EDIT: Response to Evelyn To clarify, I did speak directly with the manager and the only solution offered was a "discount on a future visit." Given the condition of the room and the health/safety concerns I experienced, I did not feel that was an appropriate resolution. Two of us spent the night here on a Thanksgiving road trip to Portland. What a find! We had a top floor king room with a river view - nice big room, clean and nicely appointed. We did not have a reservation - but check-in was quick and easy. The staff was super nice, we made it in time for the wine reception and the cookies! Very nice breakfast in the morning - hot and cold - in a very nice building off to the side. There's a nice restaurant across the street with easy access under the road above the river. Spent 2 nights here recently and we loved it! Such a gorgeous lobby that looks like a log cabin and is decorated so cute and cozy. The front desk ladies were all so friendly and had great big smiles! That was very welcoming, and a nice touch. Also they were very helpful indeed. The room was spacious and warm. We had a pool view room, not a river view, but to be honest, I was happy it was downstairs and I did not have to climb stairs. The little shampoo, soap, lotion is a nice quality brand, Aveda. And the room had everything I needed, including a wine bottle opener (nice touch!) but no microwave. The special little "extras" were what made the stay a cut above your typical hotel: full hot breakfast (tasted good!), wine and cheese in the evenings, and warm chocolate chip cookies and cold milk at night! We got a chance to try everything, and it was really, really nice! I loved the wine, and they gave a very generous glass full, and the cookies and milk were such a comfort food. I would absolutely stay here again, it will be my first choice of hotel when visiting Grants Pass! read more

Looks good on paper, but we found reality disappointing and deceptive. I had booked a Double Queen room. We arrived and were giving our room and the pool was said to be heated to 84°. We went to our room changed and went down to the pool, which was ice cold. Later that night we found that the two queen beds were actually two full-size mattresses. (Full size mattresses are 54 inches wide while queen size mattresses are 60 inches. Yes we measured) We spent the night squashed on the full sized mattress. The next morning, when we checked out, I told them that We had been given a room with full-size mattresses. The clerk said we don't have rooms with full-size mattresses and I proceeded to tell him; "yes you do..." All I got out of him was "I'm so sorry" This hotel made a lot of surface level promises on its website. (Wine, crackers, cookies etc) But they lack the integrity to do the fundamentals correctly. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this place. We were driving through and exhausted and needed to stop at a dog friendly place, which this is. At 11:30 PM the front staff gal was darling and super helpful and there was plenty of parking for people like us who were pulling trailers. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and we had everything we needed. When we woke in the morning and realized how beautiful our setting was it was an extra bonus. And then surprise of all surprises, free breakfast with biscuits and gravy! My heart (and mouth) is happy. read more

Pros: friendly staff, Aveda toiletries. Cons: very old, lumpy mattress with noisy coils. Pillows were 1/2 standard size, clumpy and flat. Shower head built in at 5'5. Noisy refrigerator sat next to chair as a side table without a cabinet. It was going on and off all night. Breakfast was tasteless and strangely textured eggs and bacon. 100% NOT "luxury hotel" per website description. Imagine a country-styled Motel 6. Feels like the one and only plus at this establishment is their staff. I'm not sure what other accommodations are in this area but I'm not coming back. read more

My wife and I actually went to the Lodge at the Riverside due to a "hotel hop". We originally checked into a large chain hotel that was overpriced and subpar to say the least. Upon a whim, I checked yelp and found the Lodge at the Riverside. We took a chance and were not displeased. We got a river view room that was relaxing and beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. NOTE: Just a minor issue, the complimentary breakfast is "just okay". Same menu everyday, typical for most places. read more

Absolutely the largest room I've ever stayed in that wasn't classified as a suite. I mean a huge room. Very comfortable bed, nice linens. In room amenities; microwave, fridge, coffee. Large plush towels, bathrobes, Aveedo toiletries, (q-tips!!). Small lobby, warm cookies. Some reviews complained about the breakfast - we'll let me tell - it is exactly the same "hot continental" you'll get at a Hilton. It was biscuits with sausage links, gravy, potatoes and steamed eggs. Make your own waffles and the usual assortment of baked goods. Three types of whole fruit plus juice. They don't advertise a home cooked meal. 5 stars for delivering exactly what they advertised in a beautiful, bright clean setting. Oh and really good, organic, micro brew coffee. Stayed here for a few days Mid April for a vacation. I thought the place was very nice! The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was easy, and I liked my room a lot. There was plenty of parking, which is very important to me. My room was a Deluxe King Top Floor Riverview. I thought the view was gorgeous, and the room was clean and nice. The one thing I was not a fan of was the shower. I am a pretty short person, but the shower head was mounted so low that it was awkward to use. But overall I had a good stay here and am already planning to come back next year. read more

I was thrilled to find, when we arrived at The Lodge, that they had free (220V) charging. For that I gave them an extra star. The manager, George, was super nice and helpful. That gets them another. But after we checked in, I found we had no wi-fi access on my MacBook, despite George's best efforts. This posed a huge problem for us because we were "driving by ear," it was Thursday night, and we hadn't made hotel reservations for the next couple of nights on our way to Portland. (It's not much fun trying to figure these things out on a tiny cellphone; that's why I'd schlepped my laptop.) The next morning, I went to the reception desk and a young woman was there, along with her attitude. When I asked when/whether the wi-fi was going to be restored, she said, "Oh, you're having a problem with *your* wifi," as if I'd brought the problem with me. I'd had no problems at the other hotels where we'd stayed, and I had none at the ones we stayed in the rest of our trip, so I don't think the problem was with MY wifi. I was pretty annoyed before that comment, but after it, I was angry. I went to pack up, and then went back into reception to check out. There was another woman (older than the young one) there, and she attempted to get the lobby computer wifi going, but couldn't. At least she tried, and George had called out their tech person the night before. If the tech guy showed up, he should have called our room and checked with us to see whether it was working; just makes sense. Other than that, the room was clean, but there weren't nearly enough electrical receptacles; in fact, there were some funky power-strip-type plug-ins that made me think too much was being loaded onto each outlet. Still grateful for the overnight charge though! Really critical in Grants Pass, where all roads seem to meet. read more

Paid extra for a river view with a patio. When we got to our room the patio was not private and exited to the stairs. Sitting on the patio there was a huge tree that blocked the view of the river. The beds were very uncomfortable and the TV remote only worked using the down channel button. When I first arrived and saw the patio area I went to the front desk to see if I could be switched out the manager was not very helpful and said they were totally booked for the night and no other rooms were available. I feel I was lied to like they did not want to have to clean rooms for people coming in on Friday since this was a Thursday night. When we woke in the morning there were only about 15 cars out front for a 20-30 room hotel. This was part of an anniversary trip with my wife and left a sour taste being the last night of our trip. I feel like I was treated differently, Hotle seemed a bit snooty, and felt like I was treated differently based on my appearance. read more

I had no idea that they had cheese and wine in the evening, totally missed it but the guy let us have wine til late! The breakfast was the best I've had in any hotel or lodge! This isn't a hotel but more of a specialized lodge so it isn't quite fair to compare it like that, so I'll try not to. The scrambled eggs were fresh, sausage warm, potatoes not dry, and all the condiments you can have! They have bagels, toast, and make your own waffles! This place is defintiely worth it for its wine and cheese, breakfast, AND cookies and milk! They offer cookies and milk after wine and cheese! The guy at the front was super nice and at check out, the other guy realized I paid more than their current booking and reduced my stay quite a bit! What a great experience! The beds were nice, everything super clean, the shower/tub aren't your nice hotel types but they will do! Comes with a mini fridge! Would love to come back next time I'm traveling up! Oh, one more thing, it's not worth to pay extra for the river view, at least on the first floor, there is no river view. Just a view of the pool. It does face the river though. read more

The room is called, Deluxe King, it is not deluxe. The shower, after running water for over five minutes, never was above kinda warm. Too cold to get into. The room was noisy from road nearby and people walking by door. The breakfast was barely warm and barely worth eating. Above average cost for way below average room. We have stayed here a few times when traveling through Oregon and it's always been amazing. Recently stayed on Father's Day in 2020, and with the COVID-19 concerns I have to say they definitely made us feel very comfortable. Everything was cleaned as always, they don't serve breakfast buffet anymore it's delivered to your room. This stuff is always accommodating. And it's located right on the river so it just doesn't get any better than location for that. If traveling for a town, and you wanna nice place to stay the night we highly recommend the lodge. read more

Let me start off by saying my occupation consists of alot of travel, state side , and overseas. I have spent a lot of time staying in hotels for last 27 years. So I know a good hotel from bad and also a corrupt and down right horrible one! And this hotel is got to be one of the worst ones I have ever stayed in. Not because of the cleanliness of the room, matter fact the housekeeping is only thing worth anything at this place!! It s the management!!! They lack alot! Common sense, ability to lead, common knowledge, and to much more to say! And they rather have room sit empty, then lower price to let the working man afford a room! They say they don't want that type of client tell, there into selling wine not rooms, they let go of people who keep the place running during slow season and they get there hours to pay for their 70,000 dollar vehicles!! I'm serious, they have to justify there worth, and as a small business owner, I would fire all management in this organization and start over! I had 8-12 rooms ready to book for orojec5 this spring, but I came.to my senses and won't give these corrupt, unprofessional, shadey,no good people one more penny of my money!! So if your a working man, and find yourself here.., run., far away for the management at this place are two faced, back stabbing pieces of alpaca dung!! and if you don't believe me,, stay there one time!! you will regret it! read more

I didn't hate this little spot - if you are looking for a nice place to stay along the river in GP, you could do a lot worse than The Lodge at Riverside. Rooms felt spacious and nice - each had a sliding door out onto a patio/deck that overlooked the pool area and river. You could tell the bathrooms were a little dated and tired, but not everything can be perfect. Lodge does multiple "events" in the lobby for guests (wine & cheese, cookies & milk, etc.) each day, along with a breakfast in their function room across the parking lot. Breakfast left a bit to be desired, but again, not everything is perfect. Staff seemed friendly, rooms were clean and stocked with many of the basics (shampoo/cond, soap, qtips, cotton balls, makeup remover, coffee/tea pods, etc.). Rates were a little high for rural Oregon, but I suspect that they have to make up for lower volume with some higher pricing. In the end, I would at least consider this spot if I needed to stay somewhere decent in GP again in the future. read more

He was so nice and welcoming. Was succinct with explaining everything we needed to know about the lodge and even hooked us up with some cookies and milk. After a 6 hour drive, these little things made a huge difference, so thank you Ronnie ! We will definitely be staying at this spot again if we find ourselves in Grants Pass. read more

This is a updated Lodge on the Rogue river. They serve wine and cheese in the late afternoon. And early evening they serve the BEST homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk. The rooms are very large with a comfortable bed. Enjoyed our stay in Grant's Pass. read more

They gave me a second floor end room with view of parking lot and huge propane tank next to the building. When I requested a first floor room, possibly away from the propane tank, they were able to accommodate my request; I moved myself to other end of the building, across from the ice machine, near the highway, with a view of parking lot. I thought all the rooms had a river view, apparently not. read more

Spacious rooms, close to restaurants, welcoming staff and a free delicious breakfast. One thing worth mentioning is that I felt very safe. This lodge has an electronic gate (that you open with your room key card) from the parking lot to the rooms. They also serve wine in the lobby late in the afternoon. I really enjoyed our stay here. My daughter and I were making our way back home from a visit with my Dad. I thought Grants Pass was a good location to take a break. I would definitely stay here again. The room was clean and comfortable. The Lodge itself is super cute and cozy. All the staff were really friendly, but Evelyn and Jess were especially great. They really seemed to like people and their job. I felt very welcome and I appreciated the refreshments in the lobby even during Covid. We have been doing road trips to/from Washington and Arizona for the past few months and have stayed at this lovely property twice in the past month. It is a delightful, peaceful oasis just a few minutes off the busy freeway and the cold, impersonal chain hotels offered there. As soon as you pull in the parking lot you you are charmed by the log cabin/lodge look of the exterior. The lobby is cozy, warm and inviting...as is all the staff we have had the pleasure to meet! There's a beautiful rock fireplace with a fire simmering to greet you as well! Both times I had reserved a Standard King Guest Room and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a Junior King Guest room with a private patio and view of the Rogue River! The rooms were large, the king bed was super comfy & the bathrooms large and clean with all amenities provided. We had the best nights sleep here!! All proper COVID-19 protocols were in place, we felt perfectly comfortable and safe! They even still offer their evening wine & cheese reception (you simply take it to your room due to the pandemic) as well as fresh, hot cookies and milk later in the evening! Included is a fresh, hot breakfast which they will cook at your request, which you also take to your room. The Lodge at Riverside is simply the most charming and best place to stay in Grants Pass...I wouldn't stay anywhere else!! read more
