Problems with the 2251LE, Forester by Forest River: RV is missing running boards so that a handicap person is unable to get in or out of vehicle. This is an ADA issue requiring me to carry a stool on a rope for the driver's side entry; RV has manual side mirror instead of inside electronic adjustment ability; There is NO spare tire. One could be stranded on the highway or "two" callouts may need to be made to auto club to move tires around. This could mean you are driving on 3 of 4 rear tires exceeding manufacture limits; Workmanship issue: (1) Found a DRILL BIT stuck in the BLACK sewer tank valve causing sewer to dump in front of business. Radio with limited range. (2) Dealer found radio antenna not connected. Still weak; Navigation system is worthless. Unit locks entire system; streets may be missing (one); had to put is an address two blocks away to navigate; unit shows "inadequate memory." Step inside coach difficult for handicap person. Nothing to hold onto within coach; The toilet area is too small for larger (handicap) persons; RV comes with one coach battery. I paid to add the second battery; First RV after owned three others, that I had to install my own bathroom hardware; There is no interior light switch by entry door. You must enter in dark to find switches; There are inadequate 110 AC plugs (3) within RV. You must string an extension cord across aisle from kitchen sink to table; etc. Forest River claimed that this was the way the dealers ordered the RV unit. This company deserves LESS than one star. We bought a brand new Isata 3 in 2017. We love our coach, but about 2 years ago the dinette benches start cracking and peeling. When we reached out to the company we were told that they were aware of the faulty material used and in "good faith" we were told we could purchase a new dinette at their cost. Here is the actual response from Forest River: "I can absolutely help you with getting this dinette replaced, however it will not be the same style or color as what you currently have which means it will not match any of the rest of the upholstery in your unit. To place this order through us, you also must have a commercial address to have this shipped to as it will be shipped on a freight truck and will need a forklift to unload. I have listed the 3 color options in the attachment of this email, and the price for the dinette booth is listed below. The price for this booth is OUR cost, which is our "special" for the peeling furniture. I have included a picture below of the new dinette booth style. bought 2025 Catalina Epic. The W/D didn't work. parts were loose. The projector didn't work. Fixed most the stuff myself. called them for support, and they emailed me the user guides because half of them were not included with the RV, including the manual to the RV itself. Been trying to get support for the Samsung projector which was a big selling item for me but they won't RMA it I took the projector down when I spoke to Samsung directly, but they bought some cheap OEM version from somewhere other than Samsung because there's no serial numbers. I saw the video at the link below and had to add a review both the dealer and manufacturer. It is beyond acceptable that the RV industry operates in such an underhanded manner. I note the Dara's comment about Michelle who she ultimately got to at Forest River corporate. Michelle at least seemed like she dug into the issue and was honest so kudos to her for that. Still, the manufacturer is responsible to make sure their units leave assembly fully functional and safe. I truly hope that Forest River and Zoomers have to pay substantially for this incredibly bad experience. Not only was the experience bad but also DANGEROUS for Dara and her family. Imagine if they would have been killed. The underhanded nature in which this was handled is beyond the pale. As an RV owner myself I had the experience of buying new and having issues but NOTHING like this. The fact that RV manufacturers and dealers think it is OK to have this kind of product quality is ridiculous and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them that operate in this manner need to be put out of business. We purchased a new Cedar Creek silver back IH 35 fifth wheel wheel in (2018) . Had problems about one month later with the front jacks dropping when driving. No we have a problem with the decals. They (forest river) sent me new ones for the front and sent me to a local Forest River plant where I live and they installed the new decals. Did a great job. Now we have both sides of the fifth wheel decals pealing (they look like hell) for a 65,000 dollar fifth wheel. Called and spoke with the same manager who took care of the first decals, but pretty much said tough luck on these. Clearly the same people installed all the decals. Pretty poor service for such a high end fifth wheel. I am going peal the rest of the crappy decals off, and put on there, to NEVER PURCHASE A CEDAR CREEK FIFTH WHEEL. We were basically sold a lemon by Forest River about six months ago. We have had problems with this fifth wheel from the very beginning. Our major issues are: Trailer brakes not working, freshwater tank is leaking, heater blows cold air, water is leaking in from the power connection, kitchen and door slide leaks when it rains/snows, carpet and flooring gets soaked and is now starting to cause mold, and the shower drain leaks into storage. Other issues include: The couches are now starting to rust because of the water leak, slide out molding on door slide has started to come off, curtain holders are broken, all shelves are falling apart above the TV and the ones next to the couch, front closet shelf has collapsed in the master bedroom, under the sink cover in the bathroom is cracked, the trim throughout the RV has or is coming off, the recliner chairs are broken, the windows constantly fog up and condensation happens throughout the whole RV, the TV is broken because of the magnet being too strong, all light fixtures have sawdust in them, the stove top needs replacing, light fixtures are falling off, outside sink had to be capped because of leaking, the USB charger on wall next to closet door doesn't work, shower door handle is broken, the middle step is loose, floor creeks on door slide out, shower drain leaks into storage, and little to no cold air comes out of the bunk and bunk room AC. Now we have tried to contact Forest River on multiple occasions and they keep giving us different numbers to call saying it's not their department or their problem. They said they can't help us. Forest River told us to call a mobile tech and we still have not received reimbursement for that. From the employees we've dealt with so far from Forest River, they definitely lack pride in themselves and their product. We want answers not excuses. We are tired of hearing, "well it's an earthquake on wheels". This many problems should not be happening to such a new RV in such a short amount of time. We bought an RV from a dealership that said they had faith in this product but that product has fallen short of its promise, its promise in craftsmanship and customer service. Forest River's promise is "to help all of our owners enjoy their RV experience to the fullest". How can we enjoy ourselves if we have to put the slides in when it rains, or watching the mold grow under the carpet from prior leaks? Forest River also states, "we have a passion for the great outdoors and want to enable our owners to experience all the beauty that Mother Nature has to offer. That is why we build quality, dependable recreational vehicles." That statement is far from the truth from what we are having to deal with. Is there no quality of workmanship anymore? Is there no pride in one's self? Is there no customer concern? Are we all just numbers to them or money in the bank? This is our temporary home while we are waiting for our house to be built. We cannot just "take it in for service". Forest River won't pay for a hotel room, and our extended warranty only pays for 5 days. According to different service departments we've spoken with, they are months out waiting for Forest River to approve a warranty ticket. Also the service departments are waiting months just for parts to be sent. When will Forest River take responsibility for what's going on? My husband and I bought a 2022 Forest River Cherokee Wolfpack 325 for $70K in February about 5 hours from our home. Not even 3 hours later, driving home down the interstate the left rear tire, hub, and everything came flying off down the interstate. FOREST RIVER RVs ARE UNSAFE! Luckily the tire did not hit anyone. We called the dealership we bought it from and they said to have it towed back to them to be fixed or we could take it to another Forest River vendor to be replaced under warranty. We decided to drive it about 60 miles on 3 tires to a Camping World for repairs. 3 days later Camping World had an opening for the RV to be inspected. The technician said one of the tires did not have a cotter pin installed and that more than likely the tire that came off did not have one either. The technician said we were extremely lucky the other tire did not fall off. This is unacceptable. Forest River needs to inspect their RV's more carefully before saling them to vendors. We could have crashed, the tire could have hit another car, or worse someone may have even died. The CEO of the vendor we purchased from personally called us not even an hour after the incident to make sure we were ok and gave us his personal number if we needed anything. He also said to call him when we made it safely to our destination to make sure we got home ok. Forest River never reached out to make sure we were ok, to apologize, or to even understand how the tire came off from our point of view. After several weeks of not hearing an update, I called Camping World and they said Forest River had them rewrite the warranty 3 times. After reaching out to Forest River for another week, I finally had a 3 way call with Forest River and Camping World to get the Warranty squared away. AFTER 5 WEEKS!!!! and multiple calls to Camping World and Forest River, Forest River finally approved the warranty and Camping World ordered the parts. ONLY 2 PARTS ARRIVED at Camping World. Camping World said they did not know where the other parts were. After calling Forest River for 3 days a lady finally got it approved to pull parts off the floor and plant to be sent. FOREST RIVER NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!! This has been a stressful, ridiculous process that could have been avoided if Forest River inspected the RV more carefully to make sure the tires were put on the correct way and had cotter pins. The process, also, should not have taken this long for the RV to be fixed. After calling Camping World and Forest River every day for weeks at a time, each one pointing the finger at the other, feels like no one wanted to do their job and just get our RV fixed. Forest River never even reached out to us or Camping World to say parts were not in stock. We could have called a 3rd party or figured something out. I will not be buying anything Forest River again. Review of 20121 Arctic Wolf Limited Fifth Wheel Trailer 271RK When you purchase this unit-see my conclusion at the end of this review--be prepared to spend time and an additional $4,000.00 to make it livable. The following is a list of the problems I experienced during my first year of ownership of a 2021 Cherokee Arctic Wolf 271RK fifth wheel. The problems: There has been an assortment of problems. Some typical of any new product, but some are simply unacceptable. The two unacceptable problems occurred with plumbing lines and the bed foundation or platform, and mattress. I had been experiencing back pains but did not connect them to the bed. (I had an MRI done which suggested sleeping issues.) The structural problem is that the 1/2 inch bed platform is attached to the headboard with gun type nails. In time, the nails separate from the platform, and the platform ends up just hanging loose without support. I had to hire a carpenter to set the platform up properly. The work was done in an area difficult to access. The repair work revealed the complete lack of insulation of the front of the bedroom space. In addition, the carpenter found a large opening to the outside--no wonder I was always cold, even with the heater on. Refrigerator went out at 22 months. The installation make it impossible to change the fuse without pulling the refrigerator from the wall enclosure: a two men job! Too boot, the user manual fails to mention the fuse specs. The problem could have been avoided during installation, and $350 saved, by rerouting the fuse connection to the pantry. Other problems include, Plumbing problems: Water leaks in bathroom which spread to the bedroom and in the kitchen by the water heater. The water lines used in both areas just a bit too large for the clamps. As a result, regardless of how much pressure is applied, the clamp fails to adequately prevent water seeping through the connection. The same inadequate lines and clamps are used for the toilet bowl water supply. As a result, by the time the leak is discovered, serious damage has taken place. The water pump went out after 15 months of ownership. Beyond this, the floor by the bathroom sink is unstable due to inadequate structural design of the storge compartment. In my opinion, the shoddy workmanship is inexcusable. The range hood light went out after 11 months. The light is not an ordinary bulb type but an electronic contraption, which required the expertise of an electrician. Air filter retainer in stove hood broke. Luckily Greystone customer service sent one for free. Ramps should have been installed by the stairs. Bathroom safety grab bars, a must for seniors, was missing. Heating problem: The heating is uneven. Hot in the B/R and cold in the kitchen. No apparent solution. Total cost to date of good mattress, bed foundation and insulation, bathroom floor, water lines replacement, water pump, refrigerator fuse, range hood light, grab bars, and ramps: $4,000.00. It is fair to ask why I did not have a licensed dealer repair these items. The answer is that the local Arctic Wolf dealer in town informed me that he was under no obligation to work on my trailer! The pros: Having said all this there are some good characteristics of the trailer that should be noted. These are: Practical design. The living room, albeit small, has a living room feeling. The couch and chair are good quality. Very good stove and refrigerator. The awning has lights that can be dimmed. A top feature of the unit is the outside BBQ with stove, ice box and refrigerator. (I would have gladly given it up for a decent bedroom.) The living room A/C worked just fine. In addition, the numerous A/C plugs and USB ports are very practical. No comments on the radio as I haven't figured out how to use it. (A detailed user's manual would help.) Would I buy this trailer again even if with a $5,000 or more discount? we bought a 2022 Grand Villa Park Model, and have had issues ever since the dealer say's it's the manufacture and the manufacture say's it's a dealer issure, the hot water heater ellement went out within 2 months, the shower head dosent' work, theres a big weak spot in the shower, where water puddles, shades that don't work, or fall off the wall all the time. missing molding, we never traveled in it just have it "parked" on our property to live in during the summer, so it's not a travel issue. when you pay almost 70 grand for a product you expect it to at least last a while. and no one will give us a aswer, this will be the LAST forest river product I will ever waste money on' read more

We went to an RV show today where they had many brands and types. But the Forrest River RV's were falling apart at the show. Several exhaust fans have fallen out of the roofs, handles that were located in staircases had fallen out of the wall, cabinets were falling apart and some slide outs were broken and would not extend for the RV show, furniture was broken and peeling, electrical problems with lightning and leveling, wallpaper was peeling off the walls, bathtubs were cracked around the drains and so on I would not recommend this brand to anyone from what I saw. read more

I really wish I could give a negative review and wish I read all of these Yelp reviews before purchasing a Forest River product. Purchased a 2022 brand new leftover Grey Wolf 26DJSE. Had it home for a week and an electrical outlet pulled right out from the wall. We fixed it figuring things happen. We had to work on several other things, like the window blinds were screwed into nothing on one side and just hanging on several windows. Days later, BEFORE our first camping trip, the tempered glass front door shattered when the door closed. Nothing hit it, it just shattered. The dealership we purchased from agreed that it was a manufacturers defect in the tempered glass that caused it to shatter. They changed it (costing us $700) and submitted it to be warrantied by Forest River. Forest River denied the claim saying that their supplier, Lippert, does not warrantee anything with glass. Even though our brand new camper is supposedly warrantied through Forest River, they would only say, "there's nothing we can do." We bought the camper from Forest River, not Lippert, but Forest River customer service sounded like they were reading a script and repeating the same thing, "there's nothing we can do." The warrantee is meaningless. They stand behind nothing. Please think gain before purchasing a Forest River camper! read more

So, I drove from Houston, Tx to get a new RV from Bankston in TN-1000 miles. The sales process was fine and they did give a walk through earlier than my appt. so I could get back on the road to get home, but that's where it stopped. I left to drive 1000 miles back to Texas with no bunk ladder. About half way home someone started flagging me down that my dinning lights were hanging by the wires and bouncing all around in the rv. When I got home, the master bedroom door was on the floor, frame and all. I had to fix this all myself, as I had space that I could not cancel already booked in Galveston when I got home. I should be able to book a space for a week in an RV park with my BRAND NEW $30K RV. No, the thing needed to be in the shop as soon as I got it home two days later. In the first week, I went into the bathroom and could hear seagulls very loudly and looked up and the vent on the ceiling had crumbled and I was looking at blue sky. I had to make an emergency repair to keep rain from the inside of the RV. When I went up on the roof to repair that crumbled vent cover, I touch the other one and it crumbled like a cracker. I called Bankston about all of this and basically got NOTHING from them. Not I'll reimburse you for the $40 it cost me for the emergency repairs, they offered me nothing. It is 6 weeks later and I hope to get the vents repaired tomorrow. I have been that busy. I bought $50 of real vent covers, as Forest River told me they would just put the same crap on there that didn't last a year. Well, I'm not stupid, I'm not doing this again next year. I have my RV in a long term park and last week I was there and the glass came out of one of the cabinet doors. Just terrible workmanship. I plan to blast Forest River on this same site when I get done here. I love the layout and floor plan of my RV, but the workmanship is horrendous. Sloppy, Sloppy, Sloppy. Hard to believe they are a Berkshire Hathaway company. Shame on you Warren !!! You need to cut off some heads. All I can say if you buy an RV from Bankston is, crawl the roof, yank on everything. Make them fix everything. They are nice people, but the product sucks and they won't take care of you unless you are close enough to take the RV back to them and make them fix it all. That's just bad business in my book !!! I got Bankston to get Forest River to call me. They offered me nothing except put it in the shop. I am out $200 on a brand new $30K RV and they won't help me with any of it. I am a big boy and I would not buy an RV if I could not afford it, but I shouldn't have to put my brand new $30K RV in the shop before I even get it home. I want everyone to know that the quality is REALLY bad and you won't be happy with your purchase because of the terrible quality. I would recommend you look at another brand. I never write negative reviews; I find it distasteful. This is going to sound like exaggeration. If I did not have this experience, I would not believe it myself. Do not buy a R Pod- buy Jayco! I have never had such a bad purchase experience. In the first year I had 15 warrantee issues (first 15 issues listed below). I only took it on one significant trip right at the end of the warrantee period due to Covid travel restrictions). I bought a lemon and asked for a 12-month warrantee extension. On our next trip I had a near death experience when the axle broke at 60 MPH. My requests for warrantee extensions were ignored even though we have had 7 water leaks, we have been stranded roadside (out of state) 3 separate times in the first 16 months of ownership. In the past 2 years I have had 40 workmanship failures on my 2020 R Pod 189 (listed below). I am writing a review now only because I just noted the massive bubbling of the paper-thin laminate around the kitchen sink. This is a major blemish that I do not know how to economically fix. I previously owned a Jayco 24 ft trailer for about 10 years with but one problem, (one water pump leak). Buy Jayco, they are built better, their 2-year warrantee is proof they stand by their workmanship. R Pod and Forest River make junk and will not make right when there are problems. 1. Delivery from dealer delayed 2 weeks, Air Conditioner defective, required replacement. 2. Upon pick up- obstructed slide, interior molding needing trimming. Not repaired. 3. On our first outing the heater would not work. 4. Curtain cord undone- curtain inoperable. 5. Rear window curtain would not stay up. 6. P trap disconnected draining water to the cabinet floor on first outing 7. Bathroom door handle loose and almost detached. 8. Shower hot water knob was detached and on the shower floor. 9. Outside door was impossible to close and open. 10. Dump line hanging bracket failed dragged and ruined the valve and cover- left stranded. 11. Two bolts for the entry stairs hanging loose. One was stripped 12. Dump tank retaining strap completely failed (again)- seriously stranded. 13. Rear curtain had dangling valance 14. Adjacent valance screws loose, ready to fail. 15. The rubber bumper on the door was dry rotted upon delivery. 16. Multiple dealer warrantee repairs inadequate- continued failures- I made repairs 17. We purchased a 2021 Cherokee 294rr vin 4X4TCK32XMX147198 in January 2021. Upon purchase and use of the camper we have had issues. The first big issue was with the entry door. On our third use of this unit it began splitting at the bottom corner and would not close or open properly. It took 7 weeks for us to get a new door put on under warranty. The week we got the door fixed, we took a trip and hauled our 853 lb 2020 Harley Davidson Roadglide special in the back. The toy hauler is rated to haul 2000lbs. Upon arriving home from the trip and preparing to unload the motorcycle, we discovered that the back tire of the motorcycle had broken through the subfloor. We immediately called camping world to initiate a warranty claim for this repair. After weeks of waiting we were contacted by our camping world tech and advised that Forest River had denied our claim. They stated that Forest River believes that the motorcycle was in motion when the damage occurred and it looks like someone "popped a wheelie" while trying to load the bike. (Yeah, they really said that) I took it upon myself to call Maddison at Forest River to explain what happened and find out why the claim was denied. She told me that the motorcycle was in transit when the damage occurred therefore it is the customers fault and no fault of the builder. I advised her again, the bike was stationary and the camper was in transit behind our Silverado, which was in motion. (Newtons laws of motion, seriously) Of course the bike was in transit! The 835 lb stationary motorcycle was strapped down in the back of the toy hauler, rated for 2000 lbs, being hauled by a Chevy Silverado! Anyways, after speaking to Maddison she agreed to resubmit my claim for approval after denial. One week later, our claim is denied again. This is no way fault of the customer and the subfloor of our toy hauler should have never broken through with an 835 lb Harley. read more

Do not buy an RV from this company. We bought a Forest River Surveyor SV235RKS in February of 2012. Immediately we started having problems. The seam tabe was coming off of the wall. This turned out to be a good thing because I found there was no seam there to beging with. it was just covering up holes in the wall created during manufacturing. Instead of repairing or replacing the wall they damange, they just put some tape over it. (out of sight out of mind). The kitchen overhead cabinet was cut wrong so they just took a sawzall and cut out the portion affected, leaving a rough cut portion to be exposed. That was all fixed thankfully. In May we were camping and had one person sleeping on the lower bunk and in the middle of the night they fell through to the floor because the screws they used were not even one inch long and there is no support. Dealer put in longer screws. Fast forward to June. Received a recall on the roof vents. The caulking they used to seal the vents was not compatible with the plastic apparently. While the trailer was at the dealer, they noticed delamination of the roof on the left front corner. Keep in mind this is a 4 month old trailer at this point. Dealer peeled the roof back and found it was not delamination. During manufacturing they did not put enough screws in the roof to hold it down and what they did put in were so close to the edge the ply wood just pulled it right out. I have lost complete faith in this trailer and dont even want it anymore. Attempts to get Forest River to buy back the trailer or give me a new one have failed thus far but I am still trying. I am calling any Lawyer who will listen and trying to get a Consumer Protection lawyer to take my case. My next step is to contact media outlets and social media. read more

We have 2021 Rogue 5th Wheel Toyhauler and have taken it on 3 trips. The trailer brakes failed twice and Forest River doesn't want to respond. My husband, who is thankfully a great mechanic, was able to get parts and replace the damaged brakes so we could get home. Same malfunction happened on the way home and now our awesome new trailer has to sit until the problem gets resolved. This is a major safety concern and I would have thought Forest River would jump to see what is causing this and make sure it is not something effecting all trailers of this make/model. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Bought a Forest River 315MB in Oklahoma. Paid huge dollars for it and it had no less than 30 problems with it. Ranging from small, to big, to safety related. Took back to the dealer twice and had mobile techs work on three times. Every time, they would somehow make it worse. Example of some issues I had were the septic cleanout was kinked, tank heaters were wired wrong from the factory and always on, battery disconnect wasn't wired correct and wouldn't disconnect the battery. Almost every piece of trim fell off. The Anderson Hitch adapter was not torqued to the proper spec. I checked after seeing all this other stuff wrong. The awning broke away from the siding while trying to adjust the pitch. They put bigger screws to hold it up and went through the interior. Drove all the way to Colorado from Oklahoma and the auto level system would not work. Mobile tech said the computer was bad. Take it to the dealer and they said it just needed to be recalibrated. I could literally go on and on, but this review would be a novel when I was done. I asked for an extended warranty free of charge since this trailer was being so problematic and they said no. I contacted the manufacturer directly and they said no. I asked them to give me my money back and take the trailer back, they said no. Everyone was nice and professional, but they didn't lift a finger to make it right. They acted like it was normal to go on a camping trip and immediately drive to the dealer to get more stuff fixed. Horrible! I cannot recommend anyone buy a Forest River product or a product from Wades RV. read more

How do you give a negative number? FR has had my sunseeker for over TWO months. EVERYTIME I call I am told they will know tomorrow....tomorrow.....tomorrow. This is the worst Company to buy a Trailer from. My Rockwood Ultra Lite had flooring over Staples , Medicine Cabinet is laying on the floor, Trim on Ceiling is all hanging. Had to have the outdoor Kitchen sink faucet replaced and the list goes on. Customer Service is a Joke. The Guy I talked to about replacing the floor because the patch job they paid for did more damage than if I had left it alone does not know what he is talking about. I have spent over 750,000.00 in the past 14 years on RVs and I do know what Im talking about. You don't put flooring over staples. You do put adhesive under flooring. You do need anchors on Medicine cabinets. You do need adhesive on trim. You do need experienced people putting these rigs together that take pride in what they are putting together, not minimum wage idiots that wanna be carpenters. read more

I am sharing my horrific experience I have had with purchasing a brand new River Forest Georgetown RV. My family and I have been camping for years but coming to our retirement we decided to treat ourself and purchase a Brand new Rv. After months of research we thought we found the best match for what we were looking for. June 29,2019 we made the plunge and bought it at Campers Inn NH. What a nightmare our first trip out we woke up to a puddle of water on the floor because our refrigerator broke, had to go purchase coolers to try and save the food we could. Needless to say by the time we returned there where 26 things wrong including a battery which overheated and acid was everywhere! (Dangerous) As we understand it like building a house you have to work on mishaps. After we had contacted dealer they advised us to bring in. On 8/2/2019 we brought to the dealer where it resides to this day. It is 8/12/2020 12 months later and we still do not have our RV but we are still dishing out our loan payment every month. Phone calls will not be returned, emails not returned and when we did finally get a response, he said I am so sorry I have never had such a hard time receiving parts! Seriously I just wanted to laugh in his face!!!!! What an excuse....... I didnt realize it takes 12 months for a part. What a CON Man!!!!! It is so sad that I have to hirer an attorney to help me. I have lost so much money between cancelation fees because we lost two summers of camping, and now time out of my day to hirer a lawyer!!!! I hope before purchasing a RV make sure you read every review!!!!!!! read more

Posted this under their Rialto Store also: I hate this company and the trailer we purchased. They don't even deserve the one star. We purchased a brand new 2017 Forest River Wolf Pack 315Pack12 toy hauler and have had huge problems with it. I'm at the point where I'd almost like to go the lemon law route with it. We've had it in for repairs 3 times now and coming up on a 4th time on March 28th (the soonest any company can take it in). My husband and I purchased this new after debating whether or not to get a used trailer. We decided on new because we didn't want to have to deal with potential problems a used trailer might have. At this point that may have been the better way to go. We purchased this trailer from Best RV in Turlock, CA. Another HORRIBLE company I would never recommend. The next day we took the trailer out to use in the mountains for a week a found that the generator wouldn't turn over, the slide was scratching the linoleum floor, and there was a water leak under the kitchen sink. I was 7 months pregnant at the time, and the big reason we purchased it at that time was for the AC in the 95 degree heat in the mountains for a camping trip we go on every year. Needless to say, no generator = no AC. We tried to troubleshoot the generator ourselves, and even went into town to call the manufacturer of the generator and see if we could troubleshoot it over the phone. Come to find out later the slide was pulling power from the battery even when it was shut off, which meant there wasn't enough juice to get the generator working. Additionally we had these other problems right off the bat: 1) roof - bubbles and tears 2) generator - won't turn on due to no battery power 3) battery shut off switch 4) linoleum scratched due to a loose screw from the slide 5) slide out adjustment - would not sit flush with the outside of the trailer 6) weather stripping on the front door - warped making the front door extremely hard to open 7) switches that are falling out of the wall by the front door 8) the trim around the exterior that's warped and coming apart from the trailer 9) bubbling around the trim on the exterior 10) cracks in the wood finishes in the interior 11) the fridge does not get very cold 12) screws popping up under the linoleum throughout the interior We had to cancel 3 trips with the trailer because of these issues. The trailer was not usable in this condition - basically a glorified tent. It took 3 months for the manufacturer to get parts for a trailer they never even looked at. They ordered parts based on what I said was wrong with it. Additionally, we asked they they a) give us another trailer to use until ours was fixed or b) pay for us to rent a trailer from a local company or c) pay our monthly payments since we had a trailer that we couldn't use. They said no to all of these requests and continued to make us wait to have it repaired. They did say they'd give us another battery for our troubles so we could still go on one of our trips, but then never actually sent us the battery or gave us any sort of compensation for us potentially buying one. We finally got the trailer back only to find it had a leak underneath it, something that was not there before. They said that it was, and that it was possibly the overflow for the fresh water but couldn't be sure. At this point, the woman that I had been working with through Forest River, Dawn Wigent, just completely stopped responding to my emails all together. To this day I still have not heard back from her. At some points throughout this process I even had to go around her to talk to other people in order to get a response. We were planning on using the trailer this weekend but found yesterday that the batteries were being drained again from somewhere. We pulled them out of the trailer to charge them up, put them back in overnight, and found this morning that they were completely dead. Rather than go through Forest River again to get these repairs done, I called local companies for warranty work. The first one I called no longer works on warrantied Forest River products because they have too many requirements they want the company to fulfill. Best RV won't return my calls (where we purchased it). I finally found someone in San Jose that can take it in but they're booked out until March 28th. We had to buy an additional generator to be able to go on our trip this weekend as we will be dry camping. I would never recommend this company. They have horrible customer service and I'm still contemplating hiring an attorney since we're still having problems. At a minimum I would think this could be considered a lemon. I hate this trailer. I wish we'd never purchased it. read more

2017 Cedar Creek Champagne. 6 wks in service an still have a leaking roof an a wall panel replaced an it's the wrong color. All my repairs needed where on back order. An I had to call weekly to find out the progress on getting supplies. An the service dept at my dealer was no help either. Had to call weekly there too. read more

Forest River RV manufactured a problem ridden unit. I bought it. The A/C unit is faulty. The stabilizer leg is inoperable. The door gets stuck when opening/closing. The underbelly has rusty areas on the frame. The gas line piping is rusty. I asked for a reasonable repair to the rooftop A/C unit to include subsequent roof sealing. This was denied. I requested service related to the rusted elements, they referred me to dealer service locations. I believe the unit is worth less than I paid for it. I believe the unit has substantial issues. It is unfair to me to have to negotiate proper fixes to what are manufactures' deficiencies. I requested an exchange for my newly purchased unit for one without issues. This was denied. I was mislead by Forest River Inc claims of excellent customer service and quality construction, inspection practices. I learned these claims are untrue, based on my experience. On May 4, 2012, I bought a Forest River Rockwood brand new 2012 29 ft Travel Trailer from McMahon's RV in Colton, California. On our first trip the axle bent under the trailer causing the trailer to fall over on its side on the freeway. Our brand new trailer was totaled. The axle they used is the Al-Ko Rubber Torsion Axle, in which there was a silent recall done on these axles. Nevertheless, Forest River continued to use this axle, and this axle was in the RV that I purchased. The Forest River company did not reimburse me for any of the damages caused by the faulty axle they put in their Rockwood RV trailer. Forest River refused to honor their warranty and now my family is out $45,000 (cost of trailer). read more

My wife & I purchased a new 2016 Forest River 26BHXLT, Wildwood Xtra-Lite travel trailer from a local dealer in CT in August of 2016. It's a basic model but after tent camping for years, and it being our first camper, it just about exceeds our expectations, but with one major exception, warranty support from Forest River. We moved to GA in March of 2017 and after de-winterizing, cleaning, and maintenance checks, I made a list of the few defective components we found that needed replacing under the first year manufacturer's warranty. Nothing major (we thought) to include a few switches, hinges, and light fixtures. We also identified an issue that can be described as pimpling beneath the shower walls. After two camping trips with no major issues we decided to find a Forest River dealer in GA, to have the defective components fixed and the annual Forever Warranty inspection as required. That's when things got bad. We were not able to find a Forest River dealer within 100 miles of our home that would do warranty repairs on Forest River Products they did not sell. The reasoning was always the same. The dealers all said that the Forest River warranty department was too difficult to work with; would not return calls; would rarely honor valid warranty repairs they felt were justified, on and on. I learned that is the same reason one of the country's largest RV retailers, Camping World, no longer performs warranty work on Forest River products. I finally took my trailer to a local dealer, where the frustration began. The dealer fixed most of the defective components and told me the issue with the shower walls resulted from water intrusion through a separated vertical seam. Forest River initially told the dealer they were denying warranty claim to repair the shower walls as they do not provide any coverage to water damage resulting from roof leaks. When the dealer advised Forest River that the damage was not a result of a roof leak but rather a separated seam, Forest River told the dealer that they would not repair the damage because the trailer sat on the dealer lot for over a year before we purchased it. I provided Forest River my maintenance records that reflected the dates I cleaned & inspected the roof every 90 days as required. The dealer I dealt with said that the separated seam was not something that the average person could have detected during routine roof maintenance. As mentioned the dealer repaired most of the defective switches, lights, and small things but then charged me $459 for the annual inspection. The dealer told me that Forest River did not reimburse them for anything and would not return their calls. All I can say is buyers beware. If you buy a Forest River product you are on your own with warranty repairs. Maybe if you can ensure that you can always take the product back to dealer you bought it from things might be different. read more

I bought a Forest River Avenger 28RKS on May 18, 2017. I paid with a cashiers check at Timberline Homes. I carried my ex son-in-law with me and the sales person, Rob Browning took him out and showed him how to set it up supposedly. He failed to tell him that the RV had been winterized and that the bypass valves had to be opened and tank drained before you turn the hot water heater switch on and I was without hot water for 2 weeks and during that 2 weeks I had a bad leak in the bedroom and I called Bankston RV Mobile Repair to come out and fix it which cost me $319.52. I also received a buyers order with only the sales price on the date of purchase and absolutely nothing else. I still haven't received a title. After several calls to different people at Timberline Homes, Rob, Tina, I still have no return of any money since Rob admitted fault for the hot water heater because he didn't know. It took 3 calls to get a buyers order and I finally had to go and pick it up. It seems the title was sent to my old address which I corrected them several times during the buying process. Now I have to file for a replacement title. During this time I have had several issues, window is still leaking, pinholes in roof, canopy ripped because it was tightened too tight for transport and furnace comes on without the thermostat is turned to off and AC is not cooling properly, thermostat will not cut the air off I have to manually cut it off everytime, a hot wire smell is SMELLED ocassionally and entertainment system comes on randomly at full blast and when I get to it the power button is off and I have to beat it to cut it off., no matter what volume it's on when it comes on randomly on full volume. Now power to the RV goes on and off randomly. The RV park i live in has checked the power meter and nothing is wrong with their side. I have had parts ordered since June 28th to have it fixed but every time I call Triple H RV's the parts are never in. I have talked to Timberline Homes in Jasper, Timberline Homes Corporate Office and several people at Forest River Corporate Office and nobody never returns calls nor emails. I live in my RV year round so I can't carry it to the shop for months while they work on it and order more parts. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I cant even trade this RV in because i dont have a title. read more

Well I would like to share my rv experience with everyone, in March of 07 I bought a new Forrest river sandpaper, traveled 7 plus hours to pick it up, spent an hour or two at the dealership addressingafew issues. On Sept 23, 17 I traveled back to the same dealer to purchase a 2017 coachman chaparell, this time I spent 7 1/2 hours at the dealership, we got as much fixed as we could for a Saturday, pulled the rv 8 hours home, now the only thing to put on the dealer is the lack of cleaning, Forrest river seems to blame them for a lot more. After cleaning our new coach for 2 1/2 days, all sorts of issues appear, I will guarantee you my 07 has 4 times the quality of the 2017 coachman, pretty sad reality that they throw these together to get them out the door, no pride in the craftsmanship of these coaches, while transferring all the contents of the 07 into the 2017 I wish I would have just kept the 07, the 07 cleaned up like it was brand new, shop around before you buy, one more interesting bit, I don't know who designs these coachesbut I would like to see the rv parks they stay in, power cord plugs in the back, water hooks up more than 2/3 s the way up the left side (coach is right at 42' long), then an you are ready to dump not only do you have to hook up and dump once but twice, plumbing must not be a big deal there, so if a whopping 45 gallons of fresh water will do much for you and you don'tmind hooking up a couple times to dump your grey and black water then this is the rig for you, you will have plenty to fix, clean, and stress over! read more

I purchased a new Forest River Signature Series fifth wheel. I discovered that McMahon's RV that does the warranty work went out of business. I called and spoke with Chris Hollowell at the Forest River Corporate Office. This guy is amazing. He did everything to help me out and he returns phone calls promptly. He totally took care of my situation. I have had issues with my Signature Series trailer, but if their customer service is this good, that easily makes up for it. I have read some poor reviews, but that just has not been my experience. I guess it all boils down to who you make contact with. For me, I am a Forest River fan now!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY ANY Forest River Product. We purchased a NEW camper in May 2013, it is now October 21st 2013 and we still don't have our camper. We have been paying for a camper that we don't have, and the camping season came and went - total loss. The camper was a Solaire model, it had a major water leak, no fault of our own, manufacturing flaw. Check out youtube camper from hell -ttn100acrewood - the video shows what is hard to describe. Forest River will not stand behind its product, they knew there was a manufacturing flaw, and in the end basically told us oh well, you bought a 35k product that clearly is a lemon, and nope there is nothing that we will do for you the consumer. We bought a camper that I know personally has had two major water leaks, so who knows what damage has been done to the floors, and insulation under floor (mold) as well as carpets and slider floor. I doubt I will have a camper by the start of next years season. BUYER beware, be Very aware!!!!! read more
