Now, we only had a 1.5 hours so most of the time I spent was in the musuem, but the grounds are immaculate, and you can see a variety of the sites from the Woodstock festival, including the actual historical site. The grounds could be a little more clearly labeled, but otherwise this is a nice stop.

Was actually really enjoying the experience until the concert started. Maybe the pavilion is better, but you have to endure a lot of background noise from venders (there was a loud kettle corn stand right near me) and other guests treating a concert like a picnic in the park where they can speak freely. I had to listen to people's side conversation while I was trying to listen to Paul Simon play. I typically wouldn't blame the venue for inconsiderate guests, but the speakers and sound quality were so soft it was impossible to tune them out. I left early to beat what would have been a nightmare leaving and I wasn't going to be able to hear the music well anyway. The Paul Simon tour was called "A Quiet Celebration" it probably was not the right venue for this kind of show. You could say maybe I should have been earlier and gotten closer or payed more for the pavilion, but the people on the top of the hill deserve a concert experience as well.

It is a little bit of a walk, but nothing crazy. Inside was really nice. The only downfall, I will say is that there was only one bathroom, one stall. And in a big place like that it definitely should be more than one bathroom other than that, I will definitely be coming back here for another event and or show. All the years I've been in this area I never visited here. The Staff were great.

I looked at the Shawnee Playhouse's website, and found that two shows were being offered during the dates that we'd be in Shawnee -- a children's show (no kids with us) and a headline show (The Full Monty). We decided to get tickets for the latter though we were a bit concerned about the "adult content" warnings. We purchased our tickets and selected our balcony seats on-line (for a headline show, $29/each - regular, or $26 for a senior, plus a few dollars for ticketing fees). On the day of the show, we arrived about 30 minutes before the show. The (free) parking lot was already filling up but we found a good spot. We were warmly greeted at the door, and a valet offered to take us to our seats. Some concessions were available, at reasonable prices -- water, candy, etc. We had a wonderful experience at the playhouse. Obviously, this wasn't a professional Broadway performance but we would much prefer a community play as we saw at Shawnee! As a small theater, all audience members have "good seats" and, as noted by my husband, you can actually see the expressions on the actors' faces. It truly felt like a community get-together, with old friends greeting each other at the entrance, and comparing notes about the play on the way out. The quality of the acting/singing was very good, and the show was entertaining. I look forward to returning to the Shawnee Playhouse on our next trip to the Poconos.

We didn't know…read morewhat to expect; because a lot of stand up Comedians tend to be vulgar, mock the audience, and are not very funny. Which is why we haven't been to one in a very long time. The place maybe in the wilderness but, it's an amazing venue and very comfortable inside. The seats are staggered well enough so you can see over anyone's head, and you're not very far from the stage. It was a little over two hours with a short intermission in the middle of several comedian's routines. There are some very light refreshments, wine, and soft drinks. It would have been nice if there was something a little more substantial then candy bars and bags of chips. That's the only complaint. Otherwise, I would go again. But I would eat first.

The main characters played by Joe Micelli and Meg Renton, which were pivotal in my eyes, Benjamin Braddock and Mrs. Robinson, by far my favorite of all cast members. I will definitely return! $20 for a play....great value.
