If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been coming here to the Forestville Pharmacy my whole life. I always remembered it to be a friendly, family oriented place that I looked forward to going to with my mom. Well I recently moved back to town and things have taken a turn for the worst. Staff are rude, unhelpful, and have an extremely entitled attitude. There was ONE woman who was actually trying to be helpful, but the other staff (two younger girls) bashed her down and acted like she was dumb for asking questions and trying to help me. I tried SIX TIMES over the course of a week to get my prescription and they kept giving me the run around. By the 8th day of trying, I said forget it and I am going to Sebastopol now. (Which Sebastopol family pharmacy has been SO much better already) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE HELPLESS PHARMACISTS. Save yourself the time, energy and headache, and just go somewhere else. Sad to see this place go so far down hill. read more

SOOOOOO RUDE I'm from here, but live elsewhere now. My doctor sent a medication for my adhd to this pharmacy, and they accepted it. When I went to pick it up, the man at the counter yelled at my and told me I couldn't pick it up, he couldn't fill it because I'm traveling and that I should "take it up with the DA". Not one word of this was said in a nice way - he was yelling at me. read more

On June 11, 2024 I realized that I had been taking Lexapro instead of Celexa for months. I realized this after complaining about my increased heart rate, night sweats, irritability, and feeling of "off" to a physician friend. After inspecting the prescription bottles I was on, SHE was the one that pointed out that I had been given Lexapro instead of Celexa, and only started taking the right prescription Celexa within that week. I called my psychiatrist to ask why she had prescribed Lexapro instead of Celexa. She denied ever doing so, and requested I speak to the pharmacist. I went to the pharmacist and requested a copy of all the medications I had picked up there since January 2024. The printed document showed I had been been taking Lexapro since Feb. This didn't match the records of prescriptions I was given by my psychiatrist. I called and spoke to Mark (the pharmacist) and asked him the following questions: "Do you ever change a prescription without telling the patient?" He responded, "No." "If you're out of a medication do you ever notify the physician or patient? He responded, "We might not always call the doctor, but we do let the patient know." "Can you tell me how I would end up with a medication I was not prescribed and not notified about?" "What prescription", he asked. "It seems that my psychiatrist prescribed citalopram since February, but I've been given and taking escitalopram, and was only given citalopram when I went to pick up my most recent prescription. I didn't even realize because the name is so similar. Do you know how that happened?" He put me on hold. He came back on the line and said "OH, uh yes. We made a mistake." "I'm sorry?" "Yeah, we gave you the wrong medication. Sorry." "Since February?!?!" I asked. "Yeah.", he said. When I asked I what the next steps were when something like this happens, he responded "Well, I don't know what you want me to do about it". So, I AM doing something about it. Complaints have been made to the board of pharmacy, CA business bureau, and the DEA, and we're consulting with a lawyer. And now I'm letting others know. This pharmacist is negligent and has demonstrated pharmaceutical malpractice. This should have never happened. read more

Best place ever! Mark the pharmacist goes above and beyond for his customers and will do what he can to help suit your needs and while you wait for your script, laundry, and or coffee to be done from places nearby you can stroll through all the unique gifts and treasures inside that aren't found anywhere else, mostly local and handmade items!!!!!!! It's worth checking out while you're in the neighborhood even if you don't have meds to get. read more

Went into the pharmacy because I needed to get a couple small oral syringes for using with the liquid gabapentin I give my dog for her back. It's specially compounded by golden gate pharmacy and she only takes 1ml, which can be hard to measure and give without the proper device. All the lines on the doser that came with it had washed off....So I went in and asked at the counter and the nice woman there sent me to the back of the store where the pharmacist was. He treated me with so much hostility you would think I asked him to buy needles to shoot up heroine in his store. Wow!!! Extremely rude. After making me feel like human waste he sold me my $1 worth of merchandise and I walked out pledging to never set foot in that store again!!! read more

The Forestville Pharmacy is one of the very best things about my neighborhood. The people are wonderful and quirky; they are super responsive to their patients; and they even remember my birthday. I have been shopping here since 1980. With multiple experiences receiving poor customer service from the new owners, and in the pharmacy section of the store, I am not returning. I'll drive to CVS. We have shopped at Forestville Pharmacy since we moved to Forestville in 2007. It is such a wonderful "small town" establishment. The staff wants to make sure that you are well taken care of. Last summer, my husband got stung on his hand by a lot of bees while mowing too close to a beehive. A little after 5 we noticed that it was really swelling and itchy and painful, so we called the Pharmacy to see if he could get some Benadryl. Even though the store had closed for the night, Mark told him to just come to the front of the store and he would help him out!!!! Don't think a CVS would do that!! Fortunately, thanks to the Benadryl and ice wraps, the swelling was starting to recede by the next day. Thanks to Mark and Forestville Pharmacy! read more

Mark and all staff have been our favorites for a long time. Through all of our moves, Forestville to Rohnert Park, Petaluma, Santa Rosa; Mark and all have kept us coming back not only for RX's, but for unique cards, gifts and books not to mention the friendly banter. After the firestorm Forestville Pharmacy, not only filled my lost Rx's (one, extremely expensive) but insisted on gifting them to us. This is, bar none, without a doubt, the BEST pharmacy and service I have experienced on my 70+ years on the planet. They know what they are doing. They are careful to explain absolutely everything having to do with medications, possible alternate medications, insurance issues, delivery options, and, if you're interested, local lore which they have by now become a part of. And, oh, by the way, I know no one who hasn't, on occasion, left their OPEN sign lit when no one was home, no one. read more

This is the worst Pharmacy I have ever encountered. I called to fill a prescription and told them I called in a couple of months ago and never was able to get the prescription filled, no biggie right, just need to redo??? The lady on the phone said eek, I don't think so and then told me to hold after taking my name. I then got on the phone with a man who said "what is your question" and I then said I was waiting on the other person, thinking she was looking up my information. He then said "what is it that you want" in a very nasty tone, like what is it lady? I said I was calling in for a refill. He gave me a really hard time, all the while not able to make a full sentence, jibber jabber type talk. I asked if there was a problem and he then torted out that he had to call it in and it most likely isn't going to be ready for days. I have had this refill at this pharmacy for over a year and all of the sudden he is an asshole to me. I called my doctor and complained then asked to switch pharmacies. I called the pharmacy back to inform this jerk that I didn't appreciated his rudeness and that I would be going elsewhere. He tried to claim that I was having some other issues and that there is something else going on with me other than his rude behavior. I guess the customer does not come first and he thinks he is better than the patron. He said "hey lady, I don't know what is wrong with you" then proceeded to try and belittle me with his power. WOW, I have never been so struck and humiliated that it made my blood boil. The female pharmacist or assistant is also very unethical, she tried to tell me that if I didn't give her my name that I was breaking the law when I asked to speak to the male pharmacist. These two are the kind of pharmacists that actually ask in front of other patrons what you are using your prescriptions for as this happened to my husband and was told none of your business! Their behavior is very strange and almost suspicious. I would question there integrity as well as there professional conduct. I'm not sure they are all right in the head or filling prescriptions with the utmost integrity. I do not trust that they are on the up and up and I have reported them to the Department of Consumer Affairs. Isn't your pharmacist supposed to be a good guy and your confidont. This is not the case with this one. Too bad I really liked the little hodge podge they offer in the little store within the pharmacy, but there are more fish in that sea that you can imagine. STEER CLEAR of this one! read more

Forestville pharmacy is not the closest pharmacy to me (since I live in Sebastopol) but I wouldn't go anywhere else. The pharmacist always greets me by name as soon as I walk in, even if they are busy. They are never impatient and always make me feel like a valuable customer. The actual store has really neat stuff but the clerks can be a little distant, not as friendly unless they know you. I like the discount book section. But the pharmacy is great. read more

As a nearly 30 yr. resident of Forestville I can honestly say that this is by far the best pharmacy I've dealt with anywhere! The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I suffer from several life threatening illnesses and require a myriad of prescriptions. The pharmacist always reminds me to refill upcoming meds to assure I don't run out. There will always be some folks who find fault in even the best of situations and those negative reviews regarding this establishment come from those negative people. The store is filled with delightful and imaginative items for gift giving or your own treasure chest. Oh yes, a great greeting card selection as well. read more

Even though Rite Aid and CVS are closer, I drive to Forestville to get the personalized service of people who know me. Always been happy with their prompt, accurate service.
