I've been meaning to review this spot. I come here probably twice a month and the service is always great. The girls always are attentive and helpful and will always try to answer your questions. I like that they have a wide variety of incenses as well as candles, I somehow always feel I need to get more! Always ending up with more incense/candles than originally planned. They also have pretty cool gifts for people who are more into their spiritual side. The price is fair, I've noticed other small stores try to up you the price for incense you can get cheaper on amazon but positively does not. They are true to their value. I visited with my friend on a chilly evening last week. Really nice variety of crystals, jewelry and small decor items. The woman running the shop that evening was friendly and warm. There were so many little knick nacks and things that would make good small gifts. We were there at the end of November so there were also a lot of cute Christmas things and tree ornaments. My friend and I went to Mac's deli next door and happened upon this darling shop. A first for both places for us. The smells coming out from the incense beckoned us in in we were not disappointed. There's a little bit of everything here. The owner, Randy, he was so personable that it just made our experience that much more special. He said he's the hands on our hard of all of his wares. Each vendor having a story. My friend ended up buying a dreamcatcher. The beadwork was fantastic. I feel like this shop is an institution in Santa Rosa. I've been coming here for years for myself and gifts for friends. Whenever I'm stumped for a girlfriend it is the perfect place to check out. Beautiful jewelry, fun art decorative pieces, candles, shirts, prints, cards, scarves, a wall of fun socks, you name it and it is here in some decorative capacity. Randy is super friendly, the other staff always is as well. I've rarely left empty handed because there is always something to be found. Prices range, depending on what you are looking for, but I'd say everything is competitively priced and some things even seem like a steal. Parking either on the street or in the third street lot nearby are the closest options. I recommended taking a few laps around the store because it is really easy to miss things on the first go-round. The store is pretty organized, but with so much product and it is constantly rotating it is good to have a little patience when browsing. Especially if you are looking for a gift; keep the peepers peeled because you never know what you will find. read more

This place should be called "negatively" fourth street... went in to purchase some candles and some sage. But was bombarded by the girls comments behind the counter. She was gossiping about a customer that had just come in and bought something. And there were still customers in the dang store! Have you ever heard of keep it professional in the work place? And she was telling this to whom I believe was the owner, and they kept ranting about people and their sexist views on relationships. Next time I'll just make the trip to the Lucky Mojo in forestville. And shop online for their cute shirts... They need to sage their space. read more

The owner is rarely in but that's fine, as I have found a nice acquaintance in one of the women who work there (although I have never caught her name) and she is very helpful and friendly! The staff is easy going and the store has a lovely atmosphere to it, although you should watch your step - it can be a bit crowded in there sometimes! I love this store for the selection of non-Christian spiritual items and statues (although some of the content they sell is from closed religions that cannot properly be practiced by just anybody without initiation into them, which kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but if that's where the profit is...), although I feel that some pantheons are lacking in their merchandise (Egyptian, for example). Although, when I brought up the lack of Egyptian products to the above mentioned woman who was overseeing the store at the time, she very happily told me I could look through their catalogs and they would order anything I liked for me! I gladly flipped through several and found a gem of a necklace relating to my religious practices that I couldn't even find online! I was ecstatic, and the woman seemed very happy to listen to my explanation of why it meant so much to me, and even wrote down some notes about it (I assume to look up later) which made me even happier! Overall it can be a little expensive at the best of times, but the atmosphere and employees are really nice and the items they sell are hard to find sometimes! I make sure to step in Positively Fourth Street any time I'm in downtown Santa Rosa. Kudos to this locally owned little place for being so lovely! read more

Positively Fourth Street has been downtown for over 14years now, and I have been in awe of its selection of pretty shiny things for at least 10. This store smells awesome. They have hundreds of different candles and incense that create this scent that always makes me happy. Randy the owner is just a great guy that I always have a good chat with. The funny thing is he has seen me grow up visiting his store and I have even worked a couple of odd days for him here and there, so I am a little biased. However, I still get a ton of great silver jewelry for my self and my friends here and random cool stuff for my mom, fiancee and other important people. Positive is the perfect word for this shop. Every time iam in a bind to get one of my girlfriends a gift, this shop prevails. Its filled to the brim with wonders galore. I personally have bought socks, sterling silver chains and semi-precious stone pendants. heck I have even bought a mermaid key rack here. Some of the items are on the higher price, but over all its affordable. This is a shop you can easily get lost in. Every corner has a different treasure, it almost reminds me of Ariel (the little mermaids) treasure cove. Great stuff here, especially if you're into that Sonoma County pagan style. Is that the right word? Lots of Celtic knots, some faeries, lots of animals. Most things are handmade though they have a nice selection of socks and notecards. Great place to get nice gifts that are still on the earthy side.
