(as an aside: I am sure the rest of the staff is great as well, I just don't have any experience with them.) I had NONSTOP shoulder pain for months and months. I had already seen someone else (they who shalt not be named, and not at this practice) for about month, and they did not make a dent in the pain. Still there, still constant, still having me do the same stuff that wasn't working. I saw ALEX and within 1 1/2 months I was the one saying, I''m not sure I need to come in here anymore, my shoulder is completely healed!!! I have ABUSED the spit out it since then and no problems. Not a twinge, not a peep, just "what else you got old man" (that was my shoulder talking) A bit of a backstory to explain why this was incredible. I had shoulder pain off and on for about 3-4 years. I had been to another physical therapist, and the first time, had used up all of my thirty visits allowed by insurance. So a few months of PT twice or once a week. The shoulder was better, but i didn't feel confident with it. Then a relapse, a year or so later, and this time, same thing: went through all 30 visits and by the end, sort of better, but shaky, and i didn't feel like i could abuse it. Then a year or so later, it was buggin me again, this time worse than ever, more constant. So I went to see THEY WHO SHALT NOT BE NAMED and did a bunch of meaningless garbage (because it didn't help me) for a month and did not get better. Then I switched to ALEX and the story wrote itself, and I'm better now, and i want to help other people. It is not too much to say, he changed my life. The staff at Forever Fit is also great. In fact, when i had first called a few months ago, they could not fit me in for about a month and a half (that's why i went to THEY WHO SHALT NOT BE NAMED) ---but importantly, the person i spoke to on the phone felt so reassuring and wonderful, I was really bummed that i couldn't get in there right away, so i made the appointment a month and a half out and went to the other place. The rest of the staff: top notch and genuinely kind. As an aside: FOREVER FIT does not use physical therapy assistants, like nearly every other place does. You work with the physical therapist, themselves, the whole time. Bye for now! read more

Finally, a great PT place with no secret bad side. I recall going to a different PT place in Bethesda Md (years ago) for help with a back injury, and by the 3rd visit, I had been passed between 3 different therapists. The last of which would be on maternity leave in 3 weeks. Then there was the place in Columbia Md, with great therapists, who billed me 3 times for the same visit. Worse yet, their billing system was blind, so it could keep recharging me forever. Then the place in Elkridge, with one PT and a large staff or Chiropractors, who could only be reached by email. This is even if she was there on the same day I was there for the chiropractor. She never even responded to the emails I sent for service. Forever Fit has been an entirely different experience. Same therapists every time (Sweta), who is good at what she does, and cares. I don't ever get "What leg was it again?" All the therapists there know me, and not becasue I am special in any way. I am spectacularly average in fact, My injuries have all gotten better, scheduling is easy, and therapy availability is wonderful. Also, if the front desk folks are out, they have a terrific automated system with a live agent on the computer screen. Forever Fit is a very well run outfit, and in 10 years of visits (spaced out years apart) it has never been different. Obviously, they get my high recommendation. But after reading my own review, I realize how much worse most of the other places made my situation, even considering that I was coming to them for help! Six weeks following a February rotator cuff surgery I was told to start physical therapy. While the surgery had been done downtown at GW Hospital, I live in Silver Spring. I was not going to face traffic and parking twice a week for several months. I checked Yelp, only to find several nearby with five star ratings. I read the reviews and found little difference, but ended up selecting Forever Fit. The others might have been good too, but I can't speak for them. I only know I didn't feel like a customer each time I entered. Nanushka knew my name and face from the first visit. Jason, who treated me most often, always wanted to know when I how the days between appointments had gone. Pain was taboo. Muscle soreness was okay, but no pain. My range of motion returned. Strength is coming along. Jason stayed in touch with my surgeon and gave him updates. It felt like a team effort. When Jason was off and another therapist conducted the therapy, they knew exactly what exercises I was doing with what weight and how many repetitions. It was seamless. Tuesday was my final appointment. A good portion of that appointment was spent getting me ready to continue on my own. I now have my own pully, an exercise band and a set of small light dumbells that I've been instructed how to use. I just love forever fit for my physical therapy! They really focus on what counts! It's not all ice and heat w massage,but rather working physically the whole session! They r timely with my appointments. They r great advocating for my continued p.t. working with my insurance. It's not a bunch of fancy equipment,rather old school such as stretch bands,balancing poles ect. Alex my p.t. therapist has taught me many things. We r consistently re assessing my progress. Alex has taught me it's not all about my bad knee and back it's a body as a whole. It's your posture. They r all not separate entities but he has shown me my body is connected as a whole and therefore needs to work together.Alex has used things like a mirror while l do my p.t. to remain focused on my posture while doing my movements. Alex is always sure to email me my p.t. for home so l can reference them if l forget something. They r not just standard print outs of the usual stuff but they r taylored to my specific needs even if he has use a general exercise he will hand correct anything differently to meet my specific needs. I had a broken ankle and then ankle surgery; it was a scary experience, and the past three months have been a severe challenge. I can't begin to tell you how Forever Fit and the staff there have made this last leg of the journey one of hope and healing. And I do mean both hope and healing. I went from a boot and two crutches to a brace and one crutch (and then no crutch and walking on two feet) in what seemed to me like no time, and I believe that almost all of that was due to both Jason's and Dwight's amazing expertise in the area, as well as their willingness to talk with me sometimes through my tears and fears. Amanda, one of the assistants, was also instrumental through her willingness to demonstrate exercises and in her smiling kindness to me. I had Jason as a PT most of the time, and I can sincerely say that I couldn't have asked for a better person to help me. I was amazed at not only how the professionally-implemented regimen he personalized for me helped me to walk so quickly with little to no discomfort, but also at his perfectly geared patience when I was either discouraged or a little afraid. At Forever Fit, they get both the big stuff and the small stuff right. The physical therapists are all incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. After a post-knee replacement manipulation to break up scar tissue, I began working with Jason to rehab my knee and restore my range of motion. At a four week follow up appointment, my surgeon remarked "you should thank your therapist. He has gotten you further along than I would have expected." Thank you, Jason!! The atmosphere at Forever Fit is quite remarkable. Everyone who works there always seems to be having fun. The therapists and PT technicians clearly respect one another. The techs are willing to ask for clarification on precisely how an exercise is to be done, and the therapists are always happy to share their knowledge. From the moment I walk in the door, I am greeted warmly and made to feel welcomed. I am never left waiting for my appointment and I never feel rushed. I am offered multiple opportunities to ask questions during my sessions, and I am always given complete and thoughtful answers. PT can be hard work for both patient and therapist, but the team at Forever Fit make it fun. My podiatrist recommended Forever Fit Physical Therapy to see if they could help with my frequent lower leg pain, which severely limited my daily movements and the enjoyment of certain activities and hobbies. Although not thrilled at first, I am so very grateful, he did. Entering the clinic for the first time, I was immediately struck by how friendly and positive the atmosphere seemed, by both staff and patients. Quite unlike my last PT experience in a different clinic a few years ago, where no one seemed to want to be there, staff or patients. The staff remained professional, positive, encouraging, and friendly throughout my 8 week therapy. My therapist, Rene, work with me to identify the source of my pain, continued to evaluate my progress, and adapted my treatments, as needed. After my last treatment, I went trekking through the woods with my camera for more than 2 hours. For the first time in many months, when I returned to my car, I had no pain!! Walking in the woods, and photographing nature are two incredible joys in my life. I have never taken the time to write a review about anything until now....I had knee surgery in early 2020. After surgery, I did PT with my surgeon's office. After 12-18 sessions, I was told it was time to wrap it up and I was doing pretty well. I was prepared to walk with a pronounced limp and give up on the idea of taking hikes or playing tennis anymore. Essentially, I felt lucky I could still do my job which can be physically challenging. A few months went by and a friend suggested I try Dwight Brown of Forever Fit and I am so glad I did. Dwight proved to be an absolute game-changer for me! He focused not just on my injured knee but my over all physical health of which my knee injury is just a part of. He took the time to treat me as an individual. Let me just say that the staff at Forever Fit Physical Therapy has been and continues to be amazing. The technicians, Stacy, Amanda, and Taylor are fantastic. They all great me by name, remember conversations we had weeks ago, they join in on some of the exercises with me and make me feel at home! Although I have been going for about 9 months after this surgery with a very long recovery. I have primarily been working with Dwight who is also fantastic. I don't have enough good things to say about Dwight. He has taken great care in my recovery. He has listened to all my comments and concerns throughout the process. He has taken it easy on me when he knew I was struggling with pain or having a rough day, but he has also pushed me hard on days when I was feeling good and he knew I could give him more. Overall, I highly recommend Forever Fit for your PT needs. The staff is not only friendly and caring, but they are extremely knowledgeable. Working with the Forever Fit team was a most professional, supportive experience. I had 36 sessions after hip replacement surgery in October 2015 and truly appreciate the professionalism and dedication of the staff. Sarah patiently explained the body, its functions and interdependencies as we developed a recovery plan. Bill and I agreed on an approach and that he would push me (and at times my buttons) to ensure precision and progress. Brandon entered the picture in the final stages to introduce higher impact active drills with enthusiastic encouragement. Over the course of several months the entire team from the always pleasant front desk welcome throughout the often rigorous sessions the Forever Fit team demonstrated patience, dedication and a personal interest in my recovery. I was a patient at Forever Fit for about a month. My initial session was with Jason. He was very thorough in explaining the specific areas of my body causing the pain in my lower back. He was awesome. Then the remainder of my sessions were with Dwight. He too was extremely thorough in explaining the cause of my pain and the different exercises that would sufficiently treat my pain. Dwight is very personable and just overall has such a great demeanor. But he will make you work to reach your goal of regaining greater mobility and alleviating pain. I had gotten hurt this past summer, around August 2020, when I had a biking accident, and I had hurt my right foot. It was very swollen, and I believed that it would fade with time and it would get better, but it didn't, I had to meet with 2 doctors, before finally getting an MRI which showed that my right foot had tiny fractures in the foot, and none of the doctors that I had met with had told me that before. When I met with Dwight it was when I was wearing a boot and I was off crutches, maybe a month after my accident. He has really helped me for these past 5 months, even though it was a long recovery, I know it was the process that he would put me through, really helped my foot to get better. This summer I had a painful and swollen knee . An MRI showed a torn medial meniscus. My husband and I have both had good experiences at Forever Fit so I decided to try them again, even though the therapists we had before had moved on. I was treated primarily by Dwight, (the principle therapist). When I set up appointments I always ask to see him each time, but also work through my exercises with the great assistants there. The staff is very courteous and friendly- and accommodating. Dwight has been so helpful and knowledgeable - I feel like he takes time to really analyze and treat my knee and in a thoughtful and helpful way. I also like the fact that the office is not like a huge impersonal factory, but there is plenty of space and equipment. (Parking is easy too.) The best thing is my knee is so much better! read more

I had an amazing experience going to Forever Fit. Janelle Martinez took such good care of me. At the first visit, she spent a lot of time with me getting to know me and my injury. She truly listened and asked clarifying questions to know how to best help me. Every appointment Janelle asked how I was doing and checked in on my injury to continue to offer the best care. An additional piece I loved is that they utilize an app which shows a video of the exercise and counts out how long to be doing it. This was a great way for me to hold myself accountable to do the exercises when I wasn't at my appointment. I love this practice. I have had to use PTs off and on for years and have been to a good number of practices. This practice is extremely customer oriented. In the time I have been with them, I have been able to observe them with a variety of patients. I have seen the same therapists be able to adjust their approach with each patient they treat. For example, one patient was hard of hearing so the therapist, rather than just get louder, took her voice down an octave so she was speaking in the range of sound he could hear. They are always on time, cheerful and the instructions they use are clear and concise. They explain why they are doing things, how your body is constructed and so you understand why the body mechanics you are learning make such a difference. read more

I started seeing her early 2020 with undiagnosed pelvic pain and incredibly limited functionality. I've been receiving treatment from Forever Fit PT for a few months now. My therapist, Dwight, and I have worked hard to get my lower back in great shape and are now making progress on my knee pain as well. I have a very physical job as a wedding photographer and Dwight has customized my treatment to address the challenging postures and movements I need to execute in my work. In contrast with other therapists I've worked with, Dwight is relentless in finding the various *root causes* for the pain, and then we work from there. Sara is one of the best care providers in any medical field that I have ever worked with. She is knowledgeable, great at teaching the basics and at giving clear, understandable directions; she has been wonderfully patient with me, guiding me through my clumsy attempts at learning a brand new physical therapy regime. Working with Jason and Dwight, they listened to my explanation of my condition (chronic lower back pain) and almost immediately locked in on the cause and a treatment plan. In less than a month I have incredible reduction in my back pain. Their approach was not limited to stretching and strengthening, but also focussed on improving my general mechanics in how I go about the chores of life. With minimal effort I have found vast improvement in my comfort level. I had been to other PTs in the past for back pain and found the process to be less than fulfilling.
