Long post but i hope it helps someone My ankle injury/surgery/recovery story jan 19 2018 Friday i  took a really bad fall from the last 2 bottom steps that led to my left ankle fracture/dislocation that resulted in surgery with a metal plate and srews. jan 23rd the orthopedic removed my cast and put me in a boot due to itchiness. jan 30th (12 days post surgery) My sticthes were removed and the orthopedic prescribed 12 units of physical therapy.That's when i landed on APEX REHAB after an intense google search. Feb 5th (17 days post surgery) i started my physical therapy 3 times a week with fatima at Apex Rehab.I had no hopes of ever walking again but from the postive reviews i read about Apex(fatima and Her assistant Claudia), my choice was easy. Feb 15  Fatima had me on weight bearing with 1 crutch.It was unbelievable at first since it had only been 4 units of therapy. Feb 26th she had me take a few steps indoor with no crutches.. Mind you that's only 4 weeks of therapy To me that felt like magic.I can now walk indoor with no crutch(limping) but hey i can March 7th today-i feel like i can fly..the pain is very minimal only to the touch around the broken ankle.and it feels real good to put on shoes. Will update my progress.But if you are looking for a physical therapist,this is a place to go Because they make each case personal and the place is very cozy and neat. I am 32 years old and I started physical therapy at Apex Rehab after having ongoing knee pain in my left knee. I tried everything..from rest, my Primary Care Physician, anti-inflammatory medications, x-rays, an Orthopedic, and an MRI. Nothing helped and nothing showed up on any of the scans, yet I was still having pain and was limited in what I could do. Fatima is so knowledgable and takes the time to LISTEN to her patients and tend to each individual patient's needs. In just a few sessions, I was already feeling confident that my injury could actually be resolved. You will put in some work with exercises and stretches and they will encourage you to help yourself become stronger, but it all work towards a positive end result. With Fatima's patience, knowledge and experience and Catherine's motivation and guidance, in just a few months...the pain is gone and all of the swelling in my knee has basically disappeared. The office atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, with areas that offer privacy, if needed. The equipment is in good working condition, clean, and well cared for. I have severe health issues in my lower back related to hard physical work in the past and previously I tried many Chiropractors that could not fix the situation. Being slow down and not being able to work around the house or sit properly or wake up normally in the mornings with soreness and restriction of movement, I consulted a back problems Doctor and they told me that the best option was to go to Physical Therapy since surgery was not an option. My experience with this physical therapy establishment had been great, especially Fatima. I had been dealing with my neck pain and stiffness for almost 4 months. I tried all medications and home remedies none of them seemed to work. My neck pain and stiffness reached a stage where it had become painful for me to drive and even slightest jerk on road would be painful. I came across this physical therapy center closed to my home and I was impressed by professionalism of this center. As stated previously by other patients, Fatima took time and listen to me and completely understood the problem. She developed a physical therapy exercise plan and she personally worked with me during my exercises session. By the end of 2 sessions my neck pain and stiffness had reduced. This is a story of magic hands. They belong to Fatima. I have long battled spinal stenosis. 2 lower back surgeries and even hip replacement. Lifetime of athletics and physical therapists. Worked hard at physical conditioning. Then my neck became a problem. Did something stupid in the gym. Forgot my age.Almost broke my neck. If you had seen me in December and saw me now, It is unbelievable what she has done for me. I know I will never be the same due to the stenosis but I feel like I can now continue my life as a physically active 63 year old. Believed surgery would be necessary. She proved me wrong. I have to start by saying that I hardly review anything but felt this was very important to do. I say this because Fatima worked wonders for my lower back and hip from a snow fall and chronic shoulder pain. I was having problems with pain that several doctors couldn't explain. I was given a referral for physical therapy and found Apex through referrals here on Yelp. I couldn't be happier with the care and support I received. Fatima seemed to recognize from my first appointment exactly the set of exercises and treatment i needed for my condition. I went to see Fatima for pain in my neck that was making me feel miserable. After my first visit she did wonders to remove most the pain from my neck. With subsequent visit, my neck movement improved and the pain continued to decrease. She is very dedicated to the health of her patients and very accommodating. I would highly recommend Fatima. She first listens to your problems and then work on it unlike other therapist who do not spend much time in understanding the problems. I am just so thankful to Fatima for all her effort and work on my back. I have scoliosis since 2014 and I didn't get any treatment until 2017.
