I got a flower delivery from them, which was ordered through one of the larger companies (Pro Flowers). Upon receiving the flowers, I got a phone call from the person that sent them telling me that they just wanted to cheer me up since I was still upset about the passing of Prince. They saw the lavender roses and thought they would make me smile. Sweet thought except the flowers weren't lavender, they were pink. I have pictures to show this. The sender sent me the info from the site they ordered the flowers from. Clearly what you see are lavender roses, not pink, not a hazy shade of pink, LAVENDER!!!
Thinking maybe I had gotten the wrong flowers, I called and inquired about them and was put on hold while the young person who answered went to check. She came back and told me that it was indeed the correct order and that the color was a variation of lavender. Never heard of a variation of a color that is a variation of another color. The sender and myself on a conference call placed a call to Pro Flowers and let them now, listen your website is advertising lavender roses, yet the florist you are using are sending pink roses. I offered to send them pics to prove my point. I had at least a dozen people come into my office and they all agreed that the roses were pink. Pro Flowers offered to knock off something like 30-40% off the price (the flowers were near $100 after all of the fees) and apologized. The offer was accepted.
Less than an hour later, I get a call from the manager or the owner of Forever Flowers telling me that Pro Flowers had contacted them about the complaint. She tells me that if Pro Flowers didn't pay her the full price of the flowers because they gave me a discount that she would have to come and pick up the flowers. Can you imagine??? You send someone flowers and that person gets a call that the flowers are going to be taken back. It was the rudest thing ever. She goes on to explain this variation of color story again and I explain to her, I don't deal with flowers, that is not my area of expertise. If you are telling me that this pink flower is a variation of lavender, I will have to take your word for it. However the fact is, what was advertised and purchased and paid for was NOT what was sent and as a customer who has spent money, the sender was well within her right to complain to the person she bought the flowers from and as a business I'm sure they care about customer satisfaction, so they attempted to try and do right by their customer. Calling me...the person who received the flowers and threatening to take them back was in extremely poor taste. I was more than happy to have her come and pick up the flowers, which were no longer wanted at all. Whatever issues she had about payment, should have been between Forever Flowers and Pro Flowers. Apparently there is a business contract or agreement to fill local orders for Pro Flowers. If something doesn't go right with payment or delivery or whatever, why am I as a recipient involved? Mind you, she was willing and ready to come get these flowers if she was only getting partial payment, but no one mentioned about giving back the remaining payment that you would receive.
I gladly helped this owner along and called Pro Flowers and ripped them a new one and told them the conversation and told them please have her come get the flowers and issue a complete refund. They said she will NOT be coming to get the flowers and they would take care of her and not to worry. I was never worried. I could care less at this point. She obviously got her money because she called and left a message that she would not be coming for the flowers. They were trashed immediately and I sent out an office email that no one should use Forever Flowers for anything. I work for a large company in Piscataway and we order flowers as well as other goods from local businesses, but this one will NOT get our business again read more
