They also have big selection of Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw dog food toppers. My dogs especially like the raw freeze dried chicken. The place was super clean and organized when I stopped in a couple weeks ago. I don't think I've ever walked out empty handed. The staff is consistently friendly and approachable. We were referred to this husband and wife team of vets because they do FCI (fresh chilled…read moreinseminations). They came highly recommended by a fellow breeder. No one does inseminations in Anchorage. You choose here or Palmer. So far we're in the stage of every other day checking our female Bedlington Terrier's progesterone numbers. When it hits a certain number we test for a LH Surge. That's when we get an idea of when to inseminate as eggs should be dropping soon after. So ... not quite there yet. Our stud is in Wisconsin. He'll be collected and then shipped overnight to our Vet. Will update on progress ... stay tuned.

I really mean it, he managed to make it just a few months shy of 19 years old. In all honesty, the care they give him is five stars... I would dock a star for the lack of call backs from the receptionists over the years, but the care counterbalances that! From his annual senior care, drive up shots, emergency situations, and the very end, such fantastic care. Joe is going to tell you like it is and not sugar coat anything... if you're not doing what's best for your pet, he will let you know! It's not personal, he's a fantastic veterinarian!

My husband dropped her off and gave him a full tour and showed him where she would stay (in a HUGE room with a couch and all.) Not only was the place super clean, but everyone was so kind! I just discovered they take pictures and post them on their Facebook EVERY DAY. I'm WOWED to say the least. When I went to pick her up they also gave me a tour, and she just looked happy as can be. 10/10 I'm so so happy with them and thank them very much for taking care of my baby!

One doggy donut quickly turned into several because I have three dogs and there was no way they were going to share. AK Bark has a really nice variety of dog toys, clothing, accessories, and treats. Everything was easy to find, and the store itself was clean and well stocked. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone was friendly and helpful. No pressure, just good vibes and great customer service. Good for people who live in Anchorage but tough if you live out of town…read more The girl today made it very clear that they will absolutely won't work with you if you live out of town to arrange a different pick up or drop off time. Makes it tough to match their hours which requires staying an extra night in anchorage if you can't make it there by 6pm ( or skip a day of work) to make an early flight out the next morning or sit and wait in their lot for 3.5 hours (like i did today due to flight into Anchorage time just missed their 12:30pm close time) to pick up my dog to drive 3 hrs back to the peninsula. Their times make it very difficult to use them if you live out of town. Otherwise they are decent and fair priced. Just no after hours number to call - they absolutely will not work with you if you need to pick up or drop of your dog any other times between 9-12:30pm or 3-6pm nor will they answer the phone. I asked about a number in case of an emergency and was told they didn't offer that either.

He had never gone before, and I wondered how he would be socializing with other dogs and being away from me. I have had the absolute best experience with Happy Dog Day Camp! My pup is waiting at the door at 6am to go play with his friends! He is tired when he gets home, and I feel very safe leaving him there overnight. (Sometimes, I think that he'd rather be there then at home. lol) The prices are the best in town, and you can drop-off / pick-up any time. You don't have to have a set schedule, which makes a world of difference as far as my own schedule. The owner, John, is always welcoming, excited, and knowledgeable! The girls who work there are also so kind and ready to greet Romer, even at 6:30am in the morning. I highly recommend this place and tell everyone I know about how great it is. If you have a pup/dog and want him to have a fun day, this is the place for you!

My puppy died at this facility! Terrible and heart breaking…read more The second day my puppy was at this facility (Happy Dog Day Camp) on Tudor, she was brought to the local emergency vet dead. Equally appalling and unacceptable is that it took the owner approximately two days to get back to me in regards to what happened. It took 15 days to finally find out what happened to my dog and APD had to get involved. My 5 month old puppy was attacked by another dog, and according to the autopsy, died a traumatic death. There are no cameras at this facility that could have put an end to this tragedy. There are no words that can describe the pain my family and I have gone through. If you love your pets, do not board them here.
