Fun experience but pricey for what it is. It is fun and creative inside with a great staff accommodating us. We watched Ratatouille with friends and it is unique experience. When we checked in, we were automatically give a glass of champagne each and popcorn to share. When the movie started, they started handing out our first course which was a salad in a small trashcan. The food tasted okay overrall and I know the team did their best. The food did come out cold and a little late when the part of the movie was being shown with the food. I did like the cocktails that were creative and delicious. We got an apple martini, and glass of wine towards the end of the film. The apple martini had dry ice in it which we had to wait awhile for it to settle down. The crème brûlée was watery and not as thick as usual. The food portions are small and felt a little hungry afterwards still. I would do it again if the food was warmer and not as expensive. I paid $100 a ticket but feel like it's worth about $60 with the food quality and experience. read more

The servers were one of the strongest parts of the experience. The menu would benefit from including simple, recognizable items like fresh bread and cheese, which would have added to the immersion and better connected the food to the movie itself. Update- I ended up getting my money back with my bank thankfully for $614. Next time I'll make sure to always look at Yelp before purchasing :/. I have also reported them as fraud to FTC and IC3. Was very disappointed in this company. They cancelled our event one week prior to the showing. They mentioned we could have any future date they put out for San Francisco. They ended up taking off all of the future shows for this location and we could no longer get tickets. So I asked for a refund and they said they would but it's been about two months and I still have not received the refund. I have gone to my bank Wells Fargo and made a claim. The company, Visa, is making an investigation against this company for fraud to give the money back on our behalf. Please don't order tickets for this event :(. read more

This was a really cool experience, but for the price, I'm not sure I would do it again. I subscribe to the emails, so I had been waiting for a time when the tickets would go on sale. I would have to buy 2 (me and hubs), so I always think of everything in terms of it being double the price. Tickets are normally $199, and I really couldn't justify $400 for dinner and a movie. The tickets for The Grinch ended up going on sale for half off for the beginning days in January. I thought this was the perfect time to go because I love Christmas, I watch The Grinch 5 million times during Christmas (and a couple times during the year), and I thought it would be a fun menu. The theater is downtown in what I'm not sure currently is or previously used to be Downtown Cinemas. We were lucky to get street parking right across the street, and for the timing we didn't have to pay! When you go in, the sign for Fork n Film said 3rd floor, but then the person at the security desk up front said 2nd floor (confusing). We went up to the 2nd, and we were in the right place. Once you get led in, it was really cute. They had lanterns lighting the way, and there was an electric cello player going while everyone settled. Our seats were the very top, and they were all table tops with chairs set up around. We had to arrange a little bit because the legs of the table were right where our legs were, but we got it to a comfortable spot. Once things got going, I was super excited! We started off with popcorn and champagne. We looked over the menu and were intrigued by what would be coming out! For the most part, things were pretty good! Execution definitely could use some work as maybe half of what came out was cold. Our beginning soup was ok. Our veggie dish was charred veggies, which were really weird, but the short rib with it was amazing! We were missing an element from one of our cocktails that others got, and the second cocktail had dry ice, so I was mesmerized. Our main was half a cornish hen, which to me was pretty greasy. If it was warmer, I could have eaten most of it, but it being greasy and on the cooler side, I could only really pick at it. The service of the staff was wonderful! I have been wanting to try this for quite a while, so this was one of the best themed ones I could have picked for myself. I think I would like to try Halloween season this year, but if it's roughly the same execution then that might be it. Again, the staff, service, ambiance, and idea are amazing! There just needs to be some way for the food to stay hot before it's being served. Went and saw Hocus Pocus on Halloween. The concept is amazing. Just needs a bit more on the execution. For this specific menu, I thought the flavor pairings could've been better. You also could tell some of the food and one of the drinks was prepared ahead of time, but maybe a little too far ahead. All the workers were really nice and personable. So I contacted Fork N Film about our last experience and they offered to host again. We picked Hocus Pocus tonight. We were asked to show up at 6:00, movie starts at 6:30. At 6:30 someone who works for Area 15 can and told us the event was cancelled. Fork N Film told them they sent emails out on Tuesday. Not one person who was waiting with us received that email. Now I will say the food portion is small for what I was expecting but the experience, the taste, presentation and getting to watch my favorite movie, made up for it! Attending the Mean Girls Fork n' Film event can only be described as an utter "bait and switch". Without disclosing beforehand, Fork n' Film changed the venue. This probably is what accounted for what was an absolute downfall of the evening - we spent $400 on these tickets to be served a cold schoolyard sandwich, gross/congealed pasta, a "polenta cake" that was legitimately dust and a "baby gem salad" that was actually molded, brown and rotting iceberg lettuce. This was so gross and such a departure from any video that I have ever seen of a Fork n' Film event and, based on other reviews, I'm not alone in this sentiment. The nastiest part of it all? I've e-mailed them THREE times since the event to provide feedback and they've ignored me. This entire event was thrown together so carelessly and it's obvious that Fork n' Film could not legitimately care even less. As the other reviewer put, we were required to even pre-bus our own tables, dessert was a cold Sam's Club slice of banana bread and every piece of this meal was gross and COMBINED could not have cost more than $4 a person. Fork n' Film legitimately SCAMMED everyone that attended the Mean Girls event and literally fed us Fyre Festival food and now, just like Billy McFarland, is going into hiding. I surprised my daughter with seeing Moana this past weekend at the Area 15 location. The movie was pretty late, start time was 10pm. On the site, it says that doors open 30 mins prior to showtime. It did not. We got there at 930 in the upstairs of Area 15 and saw signs for fork n film but the actual door that the event is in, there was absolutely no signage for. An employee showed us and they did not open til 10. We were greeted by great customer service right off the bat. We got seated at our front row table with an intimate light, a menu, napkins with leis on it to put on as well as champagne for me and a mocktail for my daughter. Popcorn was provided too. Among looking at the menu, I was surprised by it being only 4 food courses with 2 drinks on it. I did not realize the cocktails were considered a course so I was already concerned we might be hungry afterward. But was trying to be optimistic. The host came up and welcomed all of us. There was a little segment of the creators of fork and film to start off the movie. THE COURSES: Best course was the first course which was Mahi-mahi, pineapple slaw, grilled pineapple and a sweet potato mash. I don't normally eat fish but paired with the pineapple was very good with it and me and my daughter finished the sweet potato very quickly. Very quickly after was the second course which was the Kalua pork bowl. It was okay.. I think being an islander, the amount of pork given was pretty upsetting. It was like 1/3rd cup of pork, maybe one scoop of rice, a spoon of the pineapple relish and a bokchoy. The rice was softer than desired and the pork wasn't the most flavorful kalua pork I've had or made. The biggest thing in the bowl was the bokchoy. We were both underwhelmed. 3rd course was a cocktail to represent the ocean which had ice cubes that lit up. My daughter had a mocktail version but she did not like it. It was far too sweet and actually had a weird spice at the end of it which was odd. The cocktail was cute presented but I could tell the amount of alcohol in it was very small lol and I'm a lightweight. 4th course was Tamatoa crab cake. I was excited to see how it'd be presented and for $200 a person, it was the smallest crab cake on a plate that I have ever seen. It was plated in the center of a plate around gems and gold plastic coins.. the size of the crab cake was about the same size as the coins and there was only one. You'd think there'd be like 2 or 3 pieces on a dinner like this. We did not like it either, it was greasy. 5th course was Tekas wrath cocktail that came out with a plastic thing that had smoke coming out of it and black salt on the rim. It tasted better than the ocean blue one but not much alcohol and my daughter could not finish her mocktail version as it was way too sweet. Last course which was also underwhelming was Tefiti blessing which was a fruit plate. Kiwi was okay, pineapple was not very sweet, there was another fruit that was on there that I could not identify but it was hard. Only thing that we liked was the coconut and watermelon but there was so little of them on the plate. At the end of the movie, they thanked everyone for coming. They showed pictures that they took prior to movie to purchase which I was surprised we had to pay because a friend went to forknfilm in Los Angeles and the picture was complimentary so that was annoying. BIGGEST con is because it was at Area 15 and it being a later movie, the music from Area 15 was SO incredibly loud and distracting all throughout the movie. You could heat the beats, the techno, everything. It drowned out the movie for us which is one or our favorite Disney films. The quieter sad parts were not as impactful because of these sounds. It was a lot. Also there were 2 chimes that went off during the movie and also a little pop up of Apple pay on the bottom right of the screen and for the amount spent to have this experience, that should never happen. Overall, the food was underwhelming and we left hungry. For $200 per person, I think 6 to 8 courses of JUST FOOD would be more suitable. The cocktails were not that great to make up for the lack of food provided. The experience was cool in having stuff come out representing the movie you're watching but my daughter and I both agreed that we could probably do it way better at home ourselves for a fraction of the price they charge here. read more

I can't stress enough to not book with this company's San Francisco location. I didn't do my research prior to buying my tickets, had I done that then I wouldn't be going through the mess I am currently in with them. They repeatedly cancel events, offering to reschedule for another date, which is then also cancelled a second time, but if you aren't interested in rescheduling and you ask for a refund, they give you excuses and empty promises that " your issue is escalated to the top of their list to resolve and as soon as the get the approval for the refund they will let me know but its been almost 3 months since they cancelled our event and I have yet to get any refund. BBB is very familiar with this location and many, many reviews on several platforms of this happening with no resolution. I have had to file with BBB, FTC, department of consumer affairs, state attorney general and small claims court. read more

The portions are small. The wine pours are small. We had to ask to have the volume turned up because we couldn't hear the movie. The staff forgot our popcorn so we had to go ask for it. The food was ok but nothing more than snack size. I think there is an opportunity here for this to be successful but the price of $199 per person is pretty inhumane to charge that for what you get. The rest of us got something that looked like a sternum and had nothing but fat and cartilage, no real edible meat. Ribs were cold and overcooked, and the sauce was very sweet. Meat pie tasted like a hot pocket. But like a bad one. Pappadelle was cold, and there was barely any sauce... pretty sure it was Prego. The cake you cut into and it "bleeds", did not bleed cus there was barely any jelly in it. The frosting and actual cake all tasted the same. Just sweet. Very one-note. Every couple I was with received one to share, not one of the cakes were even a quarter eaten cuz we all thought it was disgusting. They do offer you a box to take it home, but we all said no cus it wasn't worth it. Had high hopes for this experience cuz the concept is awesome, however, anything over $70 for what we experienced is robbery. Don't expect what you see in other videos cus you won't get it. We went to go see scream at the 10 o'clock showing. As soon as you enter, everyone is so friendly and personable. The staff was phenomenal very accommodating as we needed specialty treatment after my husband just had major back surgery. As soon as we sat down there was delicious popcorn, and a glass of champagne Brought to us. Both were very tasty. It took a while for the movie to get started so they were running a little behind. I'm not sure if that was due to waiting on all the guests to show or what was taking so long. It was already very late to start with so I was ready to get the show going, but that could also be due to excitement. The first course on the menu was RedRum. This was a rum drink that was very sweet and it actually tasted really good. Wasn't too strong. The second course on the menu was phone kill, which was a braised beef pot pie type food. It was probably the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life and by far my favorite out of the entire meal. Third course was spilled guts. I freaking loved this presentation. I thought this was so clever and funny. The pasta was good but a little watery, but the flavors were excellent. The only thing I wish was that we could keep all the props that came with the meals, but understandably so they had asked for us to return everything prior to the event starting. The next menu item was knife in the ribs. This was beef ribs that were marinated and super tender, covered in a flavorful bbq sauce. It came with asparagus and mac & cheese, which were both so good! My husband said it was the best mac & cheese he'd ever put in his mouth lol. I was a little letdown because my beef ribs were not quite as tender and didn't have any of the sauce on it so mine weren't quite as good as his were, but I did try his and I will agree that they were delicious when made correctly. After that, we got the next course which was called houseparty. This was a mixture of ginger beer, rum, and apple cider. I don't drink beer so they accommodated me and gave me a glass of rosé instead, but my husband said it was really really good. The last course was killer secret which was the dessert cake. It was white cake with whipped buttercream frosting. It had a delicious raspberry glaze on the inside. The server told us this was called a stab cake so we needed to use the knives they gave us in the previous course to use for the cake. It's supposed to resemble the white T-shirt that has blood on it once the person was stabbed in the movie. The food selection was so clever and went along so well with the movie and the timing was impeccable. I cannot speak highly enough about this event and I cannot wait to see another one! Visited Fork n Film for the Scream version. The scenery was very accurate to the film type and all of the dishes had their own quirks or extras that made them special. I especially enjoyed the ribs and the cider beer. The cake was light and fluffy and definitely a generous size. The atmosphere was quiet but still held laughter within it. Only real gripe is that my fiancés ribs were completely inedible. There was no meat at all on them. They tried to be accommodating of my current health issues so I was able to make it through the entire show. I was impressed at the professionalism. Keep it up! I purchased two tickets for a showing of Hocus Pocus in October. We showed up early like they advised at their Area15 location. There were about 30 of us waiting for the doors to open. Finally an employee of Area15 came to let us know Fork N Film had cancelled the showing and asked if we had received a notification. None of us there received any information. People were upset having traveled from afar and others having paid already for valet just to be told there would be no showing. I received an email from Fork N Film the following day about the cancelation and was told I'd receive a full refund and complimentary tickets. I had to follow up with them after 2 weeks to ask again about my refund. They did finally email me a code for my complimentary tickets but no refund as promised. I've emailed them multiple times about my refund (for $300) but they just say it will be issued but they can't tell me when. I don't think they have any intention of refunding me my money. I will make sure to warn anyone I know to not purchase tickets from Fork N Film. This has been a horrible and costly experience. read more

It was a full experience from the moment you got off the elevator onto the third floor, where you checked in around decorations and were escorted over to your table that was so thoughtfully decorated, and you were presented to glass glasses of champagne. Each course was so well thought out. It matched perfectly with the movie. And the service was great. Everyone moved so quickly, so everyone could go through the same steps together. The only thing I will say is the drinks were a little weak, but that is understandable for each ticket only being $200 with drinks, food, and amazing service. Traveled 8 hours to try this place for Valentine's Day. I am not sure I would ever pay money to do this again. It was very hard to find the room this event was in. I thought we'd missed certain parts but luckily check in was running behind. The way this was advertised via social media makes me think that the quality was just for influencers who came for that day. The menu shows items we never got. We got 4 food items, that included half a mushroom, small soup, a small piece of chicken thigh, and the infamous ratatouille (very small portion but pretty good). With 3 cocktails. I'd been wanting to try Fork N Film for about a year and checked social media to know what to expect. TikTok reviews mostly rave about it, calling it the best experience ever, but Yelp and Google reviews tell a different story--mostly one-star. Like other reviews mentioned, better signage would help--a simple temporary stand with "Fork N Film" and an arrow would be ideal. I had high expectations for this experience based off social media posts from local influencers with rave reviews. The show time stated 10 with a request that we be there 30 minutes before showtime as to not cause interruptions or miss any parts of the film. The film did not start until after 10:30, and a couple sitting next to us had left. We started off with popcorn which was very salty for both myself and my partner. Once the film began, in the scene the character was cooking popcorn and they bought us another bag, but this one tasted burnt. I'm not sure if this was meant to go along with the film, but why give popcorn if it's going to be burnt? The first food item we got was a thin, fist sized puff pastry that had minimal shredded beef inside. There were no carrots or onions that could be tasted. The pasta that was served was a cool presentation with a skeleton but the pasta was cold and wet, and the sauce tasted like it was straight out of a Hunts can from the grocery store. It was EXTREMELY disappointing. Our next course was Ribs, Mac and cheese and asparagus. The ribs had a good flavor, but were not tender and only had few pieces of meat. The Mac and cheese was served in a tin container, the top was literally burnt and hard. I had to take the Mac and cheese out from the container to get the soft pieces from the bottom. It was cold and stuck together. No flavor at all. The asparagus was cold and not memorable. The drinks were okay, the final dessert was a cake we got to "stab" which tasted like it also came from a grocery store. There needs to be so much more work done in terms of food quality. For $400, we could've gotten a private chef for the night and watched a movie at home and it would've been a better experience, or have a nice dinner on the strip. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING TICKETS!! I unfortunately didn't do so and was scammed out of $410. I attended the screening of Home Alone 2 and I would give this experience zero stars if possible. The food was disgusting and didn't match the menu at all. Everything was cold, hard and none of the ingredients from the menu were included. It was clearly all from the grocery store and quite old. I could've taken $20 to Smiths and come out with a more filling meal. The movie was projected onto a wall and was VCR quality. I've seen better definition and clarity on tvs from the 90s. To top it off, the movie stopped working early into the screening. After 15 minutes of staring at a blank wall, I chose to cut my losses and leave. I went down the street to Carson Kitchen and had a massive dinner for 2 with cocktails for under $150. Aka a fraction of the cost of this scam. Save your money! The Fork n Film experience in other cities seems much better but avoid the Vegas one at all costs. read more

Not worth the price, fell horribly short of expectations. It was okay, concept is great but execution falls very short...quality doesn't match the price. Saw the movie Holes. Almost all the drinks had overpowering onion flavor. Food was bland and extremely dry. The Mac & cheese was so dry, the pasta was crunchy from what tasted like it had been reheated too many times. The chicken and risotto tasted like dry shake & bake and mush but with less flavor. The apple plate was simply premade apple pie mixture. We stopped eating and drinking because it wasn't worth it. Drinks and food came out "late," meaning it didn't match the movie scene. At $250 a person, definitely do not recommend. Wasn't worth more than $50 a person. Had a great time watching Ratatouille! Everything was set up lovely, the drinks and food were delicious! Loved the "Rat Poison" will definitely be coming back again! My only issue is there were no signs pointing to the theatre being on the third floor, and the chairs could be a little more comfy but all in all a great experience read more

This woke me up to the fact that's social media influencers are getting paid because there is no way in anyone's right mind that this is even close to good. Such a waste of money and the worst food ever. I've since deleted a couple of influencers I've followed because I'm so disappointed they would give good reviews on this . Went to see Hocus Pocus this spooky season. Excellent concept but I think they have a long way to go. Know it is difficult plating and keeping food hot for that many people, but for $200 a person I was expecting a bit more. Think they need more staff, and the staff needs to be better trained in service for that price. The food experience was very cute, but again needs to be more practical, temperature regulated, and consistent for the cost of the ticket. Would go again, but probably not for another year until things step up and are more fluid. read more
