First is the service. Charley, the owner, looks like someone you'd want to buy a suit from. He's always dressed to the 9's and you can tell just from looking at him that he cares A LOT about quality. That's driven home when you start talking with him. He helps break down suiting and doesn't make you feel dumb for not knowing what pitch stitching is. Really took the time to get to know what I was looking for and helped point me towards what I wanted. Second has the to be the selection. This is truly custom stuff. Hundreds of fabrics, and even more linings. There have to be over a billion possible combinations to choose from. Charle's got examples to choose from as well, so you can see what different combinations look like in person. He also has a great eye and can help you make choices if the options are too much. Price has to be mentioned too. These are not $100 suits some department store. But I thought the pricing was very reasonable. Throughout the process Charley let me know what the prices were, and I never felt steered towards random add-on's. Actually, a number of times Charley told me to pick the cheeper opinion as it was a minor detail. When I received by suit, Charley brought a tailor in to make sure it fit perfect. The quality was amazing. Seriously, the suit literally was made for me and feels like it. This is a suit I'll have for decades (assuming I keep it up a the guy and don't get any larger around the waist!) Overall, 10 out of 10. When I need my next suit I'll be going here. PS: My good friend got married and I sent him and his wedding party here. They look great and he wares the suit all the time now.

Level A - the first floor was closed, and we could only walk around Level 1, with limited access to view the cars from above. For years, this has been one of my favorite spots to bring friends when they visited Detroit. Seeing everything from vintage GM models to upcoming vehicles all in one place always felt iconic. Knowing this was likely one of the last visits before major demolition begins made it feel even more emotional. We'll truly miss this space as we've known it. The change, while disappointing at first, makes sense. The two office towers closest to the river, along with the connecting podium, are slated for demolition. The original 1970s-era design simply no longer fits modern work needs, especially with the shift toward remote and hybrid work. While it's sad to see this space go, the future plans, opening up the riverfront and creating a Navy Pier-style park and entertainment area, give hope that something even better is coming.

Envisioned by Henry Ford II as a "city within a city" to counteract the decline of Detroit in the 1960s, it was designed by architect John Portman who is also responsible for the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco and the New York Marriott Marquis, among others. Phase one was completed in 1977 with additional towers added in 1981 for a total of seven! Sadly, General Motors decided to relocate its headquarters elsewhere and much of the office space is vacant. But that doesn't make it any less interesting and the GM display in the lowest level is darned awesome. [Review 682 of 2025 - 390 in Michigan - 24243 overall]
