This place seems to be busy but I think the owners are the only ones running it. With that being said, service was good & the food was good. The bacon fried rice & lumpia were our favorite items!

Kare kare - taste good, especially with lots of bagoong!!! 3

I made a long drive to get here because I was craving kare kare and my husband wanted lechon kawali. Many local Filipinos I know recommend this restaurant as having the best filipino food in the Charleston area.... and I can vouch for that! In addition to lechon kawali and kare kare, we also had lumpia, chicken adobo and pancit. All were delicious! Service was excellent and our host was very very friendly. I'll definitely be back again!

Three of us went for an early dinner on Saturday. Very small dining room, only eight tables, but take-out business is brisk. We shared an order of lumpia. I thought they needed a bit more seasoning, but the wrappers were crisp and the dipping sauce was good. I would order them again. I got the Sinigang and was disappointed. The pork was short ribs, I believe, and that requires more work than I care for in removing all the bones, fat, and other inedible bits. I was told it was a good soup-as-meal that had tamarind in it. Honestly, I couldn't taste a bit of tamarind. The pork had an "off" odor to it, though it tasted okay for boiled meat. It had radishes, cabbage, green beans, and tomatoes. I'm glad there was plenty of rice. I would not order it again. My friends ordered two entrees that were great. The Pork Adobo was yummy! Rich flavor with a nice gravy. This dish has onions. I give it an A and would order it again. The third entree was the Chicken with Black Bean Sauce. It was also great! A bit on the sweet side, but I liked that. Very nice sauce, plenty of chicken, and a dish I would definitely order the next time. The owner served us and was funny and friendly.

Walked in to order takeout and waited a while before anyone acknowledged me. Then the woman caught an attitude when I asked for a menu.

Before before getting to the food, the space was inviting and had a lot of cool touches. And the service was great! My wife, youngest, and I shared a number of plates. Some of the first include included the Kinilaw, the Lumpia, and the Laing. The Kinilaw is a yellow tuna dish. The tuna melted in your mouth and the flavors from the coconut-leche dressing, ginger, and jalapeño, as well as the fresh mint, added to the flavor palette. I didn't try the Lumpia because it is skinny spring rolls made with ground pork. My wife and youngest said they were great in really enjoyed the taste. The Laing was a vegetable dish involving creamy brace kale with garlic, ginger, and coconut milk. Of course it sounds different and it was, but in a really good way. Again, the way the flavors worked together was really great. The last dish we got was the Curry. It is grilled red snapper with braised, mung beans, tempura sweet potatoes over coconut red curry sauce and rice. It was so good. Again, the flavors in this dish were amazing. The fish was cooked just right. And the way the dish worked together was a piece of culinary art. They also had cool cocktails, good beers, and even mocktails for our teenager. Our experience at Kultura was better than we even expected from looking at the menu online. If you find yourself in Charleston, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

The decor very inviting and it has moderate noise level. We ordered arroz valid which was my favorite dish so far, pancit sisig with a different type of noodle than the regular skinny pancit rice noodle that I know which kinda throw me off, curry snapper that was good, lumpia, Laing, and the holy city salawat plus the new drink tennis were so delish! I would definitely coming back to Kultura for

Although they aren't solely a Filipino place they do have a few unique Filipino dishes on their menu. Like every other Asian restaurant in town they are Asian Fusion thus they have mix of Asian Cuisines on their menu. The first bad sign was just after sitting down when I smelled the smoke from someones cigarette. I truly hate smelling cigarette smoke so things were off to a very bad start. We order I got the lumpia and chicken adobo. The lumpia was just OK and was the highlight of the experience. The so called chicken adobo was nothing like what it should have been, It was chicken and gravy and was not even that good. This was the worst Asian meal I have ever had. I wouldn't come back here if I was starving as this place is horrible!!!

I tried the Pepper Steak, which was GREAT! Another interesting item was the Bacon Fried Rice, very tasty. The menu also includes a couple appetizers and burgers/sandwiches, fish and seafood, as well as steak. Service was good, hostess stopped by often and refilled drinks/water. The atmosphere is no-frills, think bar/cafe, so don't expect fancy fine dining. And if you're inclined...you can buy lotto tickets before you leave. Definitely a place to stop in and grab some priced-right, comfort food. Adding Luz's to my weekly lunch stop.
