My single experience has been a great one. My girlfriend brought over an expensive dress for tailoring right before a friend's wedding. The turnaround time was quick. About a week and $90 later, she was fitting it like a glove. They did an amazing job with shortening the length and tucking parts of the dress in. Stay away from this dry clean!! Ever since the ownership changed, this place has gone downhill. One bad review after another, the price has doubled!! They ruined my wool sweater by washing it until it became stiff, and they also left mysterious stains on my $1,000 hoodie, making it completely unwearable. When I brought it to their attention, they refused to take responsibility or acknowledge that they had caused the damage. It was incredibly frustrating. The previous owners were an elderly Taiwanese couple who provided excellent service and did a great job with dry cleaning. They always charged customers when the clothes were picked up. About a year ago, they sold the business to a younger couple. Since then, they've changed the policy to requiring payment before cleaning. In my opinion, this leaves customers with little protection if their clothes are damaged. Just look at the recent reviews. There are many one-star ratings, including from customers who had been coming here for 10 or even 20 years. If you have valuable or sentimental clothing, I strongly recommend taking it somewhere else. Formosa has been my spot for anything I need tailored or dry cleaned since I've moved to California. They always provide amazing customer service and do a great job with quick turnaround. A few times I've needed items expedited because of my own procrastination and they find a way to help me out. Today, Jan, the Taylor was able to sew on two captains patches for my son's football jersey and get it back to us in time for the game the next day. I was upset when the new owners raised prices from $5.25 to $6.75 for shirts and pants, so I went elsewhere. Other cleaners charging around $9.... realized they're still one of the best values in the area. The cleaning quality is also noticeably better. We came in on a Wednesday to shorten and hem/taper my dress pants. They finished measuring my pants in less than 5 minutes and had me drop off my pants. They told me it would be a week before I got it back but when I told them we had a wedding to attend on Saturday, they did me a one time courtesy of expediting the service and were able to finish my request by Friday afternoon. A friend recommended Formosa to alter my wedding dress and they did not disappoint! The owner (or I'm assuming she is) helped me get into the dress and pinned all the spots I wanted taken in and up. The dress I had purchased didn't have a train and I was okay with it, but she mentioned that I had enough excess length that she could create a mini train for me and that's what we did! I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but the new ownership has completely changed everything, and not for the better. During my first visit, they charged me upfront: $20 per t-shirt for taking in the sides and cutting the sleeves on six shirts. When I asked if ownership had changed, they lied and said nothing was different. When I returned to pick up my shirts, I tried one on and saw that the sleeves weren't taken in properly. Instead of fixing their own mistake, they told me it would cost another $20 per shirt, "discounted" to $5--for a correction they should have done right the first time. With a heavy heart, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The new owners are driving this place into the ground. - the quality is like a five year old taking a crayon to do work. I asked them to patch something and it came back looking worse than amateur. - the job was late. They quoted me a very long time for it to be completed and I agreed (1 week plus) when the old owners would say 2-3 days. When I went , it wasn't ready and they asked me to come back. When I went back , they were still not ready ! - I thought maybe it was an outlier. I tried them again. I brought the Second batch of clothes in, but they didn't even acknowledge me for 5 min. I took my clothes and left. If the old owners are on a break but came back, I'll come back as well. But this new set of owners doesn't have the same standards, attention to detail, and customer service. To the old owners , the sweet old couple , please come back! Within the past 3-4 months I have lost 4 buttons across different shirts and slacks, AND an expensive dress shirt got bleach on the sleeve ruining it for good. I have zero bleach at home. I dropped off a white tweed jacket to be clean & just picked it up today & it was no longer white but a yellow color!!! I also found a couple of strands of hair on my jacket. We got recommended this cleaners as we needed to clean and preserve a wedding dress. They charged us $90 to clean and $90 to preserve so $180 total. Pricing was pretty good and they were very friendly. Minus one star because they didn't have it ready by the time they said it would be ready because apparently they didn't factor in the holidays (Thanksgiving). They ended up putting the dress into the larger box which normally costs extra but they didn't charge us extra so that was very nice of them. Overall we liked the service here and felt the prices were reasonable. read more

I thought the prices were reasonable. After getting some quick contact information, I was advised to come back in a few days to get my jackets. Pickup was easy, since I had my receipt. The staffs are very friendly. In terms of quality, one of my jackets was very clean. However, the second had a small stain on it still. But it was one that has been on the jacket for a bit of time. Took my wife's wedding gown in for pressing only. They charged a premium price, which made sense. But they messed it up with multiple discolored water spots. We brought it back and asked if they could fix it, but they denied all responsibility and claimed it was like that when they received it. This is a completely brand-new dress, never worn before--that's why we only needed it pressed. How could it have damages we hadn't noticed? First time customer. Still waiting for management to make this right. I took in two very expensive work shirts to be taken in and altered at the hem. They gave me a week timeline which seemed long but I agreed and paid. Prices are some what higher than other places. My shirts were not ready on the date they gave me so I wasted a trip. They told me to come back after 5pm the same day. After 5pm they still were not ready. When I called to speak to someone the person on the phone was not helpful and kept walking away from the phone without saying anything. The next day I went to pickup and the hem was really bad. It was uneven and when I put on the shirt and buttoned it, the shirt buckles in the middle and looks horrible. I called the store and was told to bring them back in so they can resolve the issue. The person who did the alterations just made a bunch of excuses as to why the shirts are the way they are and the person in charge didnt help at all. She told me I can come back to speak to the manager. I thought that was why I was asked to drive all the way back over there. Horrible customer service and was never offered any thing to make it right. read more

I'm not sure what's going on. I've been using this place for dry cleaning for many years. Recently, I brought my clothes in for dry cleaning, and I was told to pick them up in a week. I noticed that the receipt has a "surcharge" on it. What is the surcharge for? She told me the amount due on the service. But after she ran my card, I realized it after I got home and the amt charged was more than the actual total mentioned on the receipt. I have never seen a surcharge on dry cleaning before. This seems quite ridiculous. Also, the owner is not there this time. The lady didn't tell me about this when I came to pick up my clothes. :( read more

NEW OWNERS !! Not the same service, people or prices! And new owners lie when you ask them about the original owners. One said idk, the next said vacation. I asked, when are they coming back, her response was maybe 6 months ! They raised the prices by a lot. A simple dress $23. And signs everywhere stating you HAVE to pay in advance no refunds. Attendant said they raised the prices when they left on vacation. I asked are they really coming back she said, I don't think so.
