Which means they have no control over how they wash delicate clothing and the items take a lot longer than expected to be ready for pickup. My brand new shirt is embellished with gold monogram flower hardware around the neckline which I specially said please be very careful and gentle with. It came back and guess what???Careless. The hardware has a string that totally fell off and they somehow have punched a small hole on the bottom of the shirt. Like okay my shirt is totally damaged now. If they couldn't have done the job without damaging my shirt, he could've just denied me as a customer. I would've preferred that over a damaged shirt. Come on, get it together. Never again. Def don't recommend this spot unless you don't care abt your clothing.

As a result, my sweaters shrank to the size of an 8-year-old's, and the fur on my Canada Goose coat got shrank and damaged from the wet and dry process. When I returned the items, they offered to enlarge my sweater back to its original size, but it didn't work, and the coat's fur collar was further damaged. I found out they outsource the cleaning to a third party, which doesn't seem to properly care for the items, with no quality control. For many years of using dry cleaners, this has never happened--no one would ever water-wash cashmere or down coats. I won't be coming back to this store. I don't recommend this store to any family and friends!

Awful execution. Sarcastic owner. I needed one patch added to my son's karate robe. A's had at…read moreleast half a dozen sewing machines and a wall covered in alteration gear so I assumed they knew what they were doing. Initial interaction was perfect. When I picked up the robe, however, the patch was a little off-center and askew, despite telling the owner exactly how to line it up with the other patches, and suggesting they use the sleeve crease as a guide. But I thought it was passable for $12. Great price, I'm good. But when I got home I looked at the actual stitching. It looks like it was done by someone that had no clue how to attach a patch compared to the other patches on the robe (performed by another shop). I brought it back and explained that I was concerned about the huge gaps between stitches, since my son competes in grappling competitions with this robe. It looks like the patch could easily get ripped off if a finger got in there. They offered to fix it this weekend, but that's too late for me. The owner offered to take the patch off and give me my money back, which I greatly appreciated. That's all I wanted. At this point, I was fine with the situation, happy to take it somewhere else, despite the huge inconvenience. I wouldn't have even posted this... but the owner just couldn't help herself. As she was walking away with the robe, she said sarcastically, and I quote, "I didn't know they wore these inside-out" referring to my comments about how ugly the stitching was. At this point, I told her to give it back to me. Her first instinct was to refuse. So I had to sternly tell her to give it back to me right now, and that I will be posting this on Yelp and Google. Instead of apologizing, she said, "I have your license plate number." What? Is she threatening me too? Is this story over? I certainly hope so. Again, I wouldn't be writing this if she hadn't been sarcastic, obviously trying to make me feel stupid for my concern about the stitches. But my experience was that A's Cleaners was completely unprofessional and offered terrible service. Look at the pics and judge for yourself. I they didn't have the equipment to do it right, they should've told me. I wish I had never walked in to this place.

They ruined my wool sweater by washing it until it became stiff, and they also left mysterious stains on my $1,000 hoodie, making it completely unwearable. When I brought it to their attention, they refused to take responsibility or acknowledge that they had caused the damage. It was incredibly frustrating. The previous owners were an elderly Taiwanese couple who provided excellent service and did a great job with dry cleaning. They always charged customers when the clothes were picked up. About a year ago, they sold the business to a younger couple. Since then, they've changed the policy to requiring payment before cleaning. In my opinion, this leaves customers with little protection if their clothes are damaged. Just look at the recent reviews. There are many one-star ratings, including from customers who had been coming here for 10 or even 20 years. If you have valuable or sentimental clothing, I strongly recommend taking it somewhere else.
