This is our 4th stay with the Doc's Inn and each stay was always amazing. The building is old and creaky but that gives it the charm. If you're looking for square and plum walls, perfect floors and doors this is not your spot. But if you want some old world charm and want to feel that you're living in your grandmother's doll house this is your spot. The furniture and china also match the overall theme. Most rooms still have a window air conditioner but we don't usually use them. On this trip our room has access to the 2nd floor roof deck. Some rooms have a king sized bed and others have smaller ones like full, so be sure to ask when you reserve. The staff are really awesome people. Katelyn and her mom are really so hospitable. It is such a pleasant stay and the conversations are great. Finally, these folks put the "breakfast" in bed and breakfast. So far we had a great rice porridge with a slice of roast beef, a green chimichurri, some sliced fried garlic, smoked tomatoes, and a fried egg. Our second breakfast was some smoked brisket with fried eggs. Then we had a homemade biscuit, bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and my daughter had the yogurt parfait. Also each morning there is always something fresh baked to nibble on. The food is amazing and we are always happy when we are smart enough to reserve early. As my youngest graduates we feel great pride and happiness but also a sense of loss for some of the great places, like docs inn, and the great people of Greencastle we will miss.

This is a beautiful restored Victorian that has four unique bedrooms. Visit the website for pictures and explanations, but the Doc's Inn is truly amazing. Kaitlyn, the chef, or Janna, or another stand-in, will provide you with the most amazing and unique breakfast experience that you will find in any bed and breakfast. The Montgomery County Fair hasn't changed much over the years. The events are centered around 4-H…read moreand open competitions. I like that you won't spend a lot of money to visit. Admission and parking are free. Young bulls were being judged in the arena when we arrived on day 4 of the Fair. There's a salt-of-the-earth feel to the show. Two buildings held judged prepared food items, home arts, 4-H poster exhibits and more. There were photos of homemade pies that made me wish I had been a judge. The barns were filled with cows, swine, chickens and other farm animals, each anxious to capture the coveted grand champion ribbon. Owners were proudly grooming their cows. Of course, there's fair food. About a dozen local food trucks filled the parking lot selling elephant ears, smash burgers, Hawaiian ice and more. The 4-H was selling rib eyes and hamburgers in the Beef food stand. We had a hamburger dinner (came with two sides and a beverage) for $9. An artisan was demonstrating wood carving near an entrance. I didn't see kitschy carnival rides. The walkways are not paved, so wheel chair access may be challenging in some areas. This fair offers a classic taste of Indiana.

Newly renovated building to two full suites. We were traveling as a family, with a 4 yr old and grandparents, and it was everything we needed. The finishings were gorgeous and brand new. The space is huge. Pullout couch was comfortable. Full kitchen, stocked with plates, cups, dish towels, soap, sponges, drying rack meant we didn't have to dine out every meal. For a large group, the two interconnecting suites was great, the kid could wander around, we could have family over to visit in one living room while the kid napped in the other, etc. So happy to have found it.

Members enjoy cheap prices on drinks at the bar (and of good quality and quantity). The food is fairly good and at decent price. There are also various activities such as joining the Dart League or signing up for country line dancing classes. It is within walking distance of the town square and all the venders in the downtown area. The daily rate of $32.00 seems reasonable. The couple who operate the park are friendly and helpfull. The park is attractive, there is laundry facilities (we didn't use them) & bath and shower facilities if you need them ( we didn't use them either). Now the NEGATIVES: If it rains very much the park turns to lots and lots of mud, which it did the week we were there. The park is older & was designed for older RVs, ie 20-25 ft. long & only needed 30Amp hookups. We tripped the breaker a couple of times. We also had electrical problems with the park hookup as did another RVer, his kept going on and off one day. The park is owned by the operators father who if you have a problem refuses to come to the park. He shows up long enough to create a problem then leaves and the couple who run the place are stuck trying to solve what he caused, she says "you'd just have to know my dad", not a good answer. Two of the 3 entries are difficult to maneuver thru if you have a newer (and longer) RV such as a big 5th wheel. Half the park is on the LOW end of the park and if it does rain very much it becomes a real mess, one guy had to spread hay just to pull out and he didn't have a big trailer either. We had a 4 wheel drive Dodge or we probably would not have been able to pull out since we were on the low side of the park. One guy hit the metal corner post at the entry with his trailer ( mostly his fault but still it is a real problem where it's at but it's protecting the power pole that's also located at the entry) not good either. I gave this park 3 stars mainl because the couple who run it are nice and are "stuck" much like we almost were otherwise I'd rate it a TWO !!If you do reserve a site request one on the high side of the park and you'll be better off.

This DJ kept the music going, and controlled the mic volume as needed (thank goodness), and made the night quite enjoyable. He was interactive, and hit some high notes that you don't expect from a guy with his presence (you'll understand when you meet him) I may give karaoke another chance.

Be warned--an outdoor July wedding at 4:30 in the afternoon is blazing hot. We opted for standing in the shade on a raised deck with a great view of the entire ceremony. This couple provided guests with fans that had the wedding program on one side and their picture on the other. Amidst a pandemic, I'm questioning the choice of fans. Indoors was air conditioned with seating and a bar on the main floor and upstairs. The second floor is a loft with a single row of tables and chairs looking down on main floor. Bartenders were friendly, some of the staff wore masks, some of the time. The air wasn't cooling the building and after a heavy thunderstorm, outside was cooler, so the doors were opened and a huge fan used to get some cross ventilation going. It was actually nicer outside among the tall trees. There's covered outdoor seating and a paved area where many guests hung out. With a DJ playing it was easier to visit and talk outdoors, perhaps safer too. When we returned to our vehicle at the end of the night, we discovered most people parked by us were stuck in mud and the owner was pulling us out with his truck. A little muddy, but no damage done to my SUV and an exciting finish to a fabulous event. AC not working well, overflow parking in what became a muddy mess were the only negatives. I imagine the deluge was atypical, but AC needs attention, not out of their control.

Last year, we were passing through from a month long RV trip. We only needed a place for the night…read more(not huge Walmart parking lot fans). We wanted a quiet place, where we could rest and take a load off. Man! Did we ever find a hidden gem! The owners were super nice, as well as the seasonal folks who took us for a quick cart ride to see the Fallen Rock. This year, we wanted to get away for 10 days over the 4th of July weekend. We didn't think long before we remembered how much we loved this campground! They were so accommodating! We had the same spot of our one=night visit last year. We met many more of the seasonal folks, and their dogs (we brought ours with us this time!) We have already make a reservation to go in the fall next year for the covered bridge festival. In closing, this is the nicest, cleanest park we have stayed at to date. The owners have obviously put their hearts into this place. They feel like family. Oh, and they put on a fireworks shows that rivals the ones in DC!
