I came to Dr. Truong in large part because of her experience in the area of eye work pertinent to my needs. I was concerned about one of my eyes and wanted someone whose evaluation I could trust. I was happy with my experience with the people at the front and even more pleased with Dr. Truong's work. Dr. Truong took the time to help me understand the situation with my eye and explained principles that will help me make decisions about my eye care in the future. In the past, people have become impatient with me when I ask a lot of questions. Dr. Truong did not. She patiently explained things to ease my mind about the situation and did not rush me at all. Dr. Thao was fantastic as was the entire staff. She spent a lot of time with me and my son determining and explaining the issues with his eyes and the ramifications of not correcting it and wearing glasses. She was very thorough and explained everything very well. read more

I'm quite upset to find out that some of the reviewers here are dead on. I took my daughter elsewhere for an annual examination and to check her glasses. The ophthalmologist who performed her exam said she did not need glasses at all yet. What? And when one of her stems broke, they took forever to get the new stem claiming it had gotten lost in the mail, not even sure that's true. But it really was not a smooth process at all. I'm most upset and frustrated that I took my daughter here for their guidance in an area I know nothing about and feel fooled into paying for expensive eyewear she truly didn't even need yet. Be careful when choosing someone to examine your eyes or your child's. It's really upsetting to know you've been had like this, and my daughter has been wearing glasses for over a year without even needing them! read more

Dr. Truong is a very knowledgeable, patient and kind person. I feel relaxed and able to talk and ask questions about my eyes and what to expect with my sight. Dr. Truong is a very good doctor. She's patient, knowledgeable, and has professional ethics. Her work attitude fully owned 5 stars. But her office staffs are opposite. Jill, who works ordering glasses, sets the price as she likes. What was even more excessive was that the amount I paid by the credit card was higher than the receipt I got from her. I previously posted a review of this office. I have no problem with them terminating their services with me as This is a Mutual feeling. However, I do have a significant problem with the fact that they stated when I saw them last they would place my order for contacts. As I opened my mail today I see where that is not the case. So again, this is a patient safety concern and loyalty issue. I feel the right thing to do would be to separate, but fulfill the obligation of ordering my contacts. I don't feel that is appropriate. In the least, the doctor or clerk In the front could have called me to let me know she was not placing the order. I can go to Costco any day and order my lenses for a fraction of the cost. The lady that answers the phone has significant difficulty in customer service. I would not recommend anyone to this office based on the way my separation has also occurred. While I know I feel very passionate about this I too work in healthcare and management. This would never happen where I work. They did not try to work with me, instead they took the easy route and ran. When life gives you challenges...you tackle them...you don't run. I am an easy person to get along with but have high expectations of the services I hire, this office does not meet those expectations. read more

Dr. Truong is awesome. Her receptionist, Sandy, (Sawndy), not so much. We have been patients for more than 7 years with Dr. Truong and followed her from Pearle vision. I have never had such a problem confirming my coverage and an unwillingness to help than dealing with her receptionist. I called to give her the providers customer service number for my vision insurance and she told me it's my responsibility. We live 2 hours away and work between Forsight and home. Dr. Truong has been worth the distance. Sawndy ruined that. We will not be making the drive again. We love you Dr. Truong but your staff needs to do better. read more

I really liked the doctor at this clinic. She is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Her staff is a different story. We have switched eye care providers because of the experience. The first time I dealt with attitude from the staff, I let it go because I liked the doctor so much. But after the second time, I made a change. Always have a wonderful visit with the ladies at Forsight Eye Center. I had not had an eye exam in a few years as i had been putting it off. Dr Troung told me i was basically blind and shouldn't be driving without glasses! I wasn't excited about having to get glasses but Jill, the Optician, let me try on every pair in the store and was very helpful ensuring the fit was a good look and would work for me. I would like to let you know about the horrible service that I got today from this clinic. I went there with my daughter to purchase a pair of glasses for her. There was a girl called Casey who helped me in the beginning, she was very nice. After a while Casey went inside and another woman approached us and helped finding a frame (Her name is Jill). I asked for something cheap because it's her first pair of glasses and I'm sure she's going to break or lose them pretty soon.She was very serious, not even one smile towards my child or me, but this bothered me less. When we decided on the frame and I asked her about the amount, she said that there is a $61 that I must pay for a anti-reflective lense. I asked if it is a must and she laughed with contempt,said that she never heard of anyone who is buying without this "protection" and explained that it will prevent the reflection on the glasses.I called my husband (who wears glasses all his life) and he said that for a child it's not a must. When I told her that we want just the regular lenses, she got upset, went inside and called the other girl to help me (I can only imagine what she was saying behind my back). I was in shock because of her reaction, otherwise I would have left the store. I just can't believe that if I purchase something with the insurance and don't want to spend any money in the store, I will get this kind of behavior! It was very humiliating. I don't own this woman any explanation about my financial decisions, and it was very rude of her. I hope someone will do something about it, because after I pick up my glasses I will never go back to this store again! read more

Do not go here!!! They are purely money minded people who do not care about what is right for your eyes. All they want to do is get you in prescription glasses and then sell you glasses.They prescribed my two year old with high power and recommended we buy 3 Pairs of glasses. They did not even run any tests on her. We called them back within 12 hours to cancel our prescriptions (without taking possession of glasses) saying that we wanted to get a second opinion. They refused to cancel saying it was too late. However after getting a second opinion it turns out that our kid did not even need glasses. Be careful... I just do not want your kid to go through what mine almost went through. read more

I have never had an experience as great as ForSight. I have been through eye surgeries, wrong prescriptions, Incorrect explanations of my situation, but ForSight and their staff were extremely helpful and understanding. I was in a hurry to catch a flight (which ended up being changed), but they were more than accommodating. They made room for me. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable in her craft. She explained the physics behinds the reasons my eyes were hurting and also simplified her explanations so I can better understand it. She fit me into the perfect contacts and glasses. Even the case for my glasses had my name engraved! Even the little things matter! :) I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing assistance. GREAT JOB FORSIGHT! read more

First I definitely agree with other reviews - Dr. Troung is great! Attentive, professional, very informative. Unfortunately my experience with the rest of her staff was not at all great. I had an unusual situation where my former eye doctor closed his business at a time when my recently ordered glasses had to be corrected. My vision insurance company was very helpful and when learning of the situation, agreed to reinstate my benefits (including out of pocket expenses) to get the glasses corrected at another practice. Sounds simple but the experience was anything but. I explained my situation including the insurance coverage for the exam and full replacement when I scheduled the appointment, and numerous times during my visit. I even had the Casey at the front desk call the insurance company when I arrived there to verify the eligible benefits. She and I both spoke with the insurance representative to clarify that full replacement of the lenses with all add-ons were covered at no additional cost to me. However, when we got to the point of ordering the replacement lenses, Jill (the Optician) tried to charge me out of pocket several hundred dollars for items which were covered by my insurance! I kept trying to explain that these costs should be covered and that Casey had already confirmed with the insurance upon my arrival. Casey just sat there and did not say a word even though she personally spoke with the insurance company, even when I kept turning to her to verify the discussion. After much unpleasant back and forth, Jill begrudgingly called the insurance company again for further clarification, using patronizing phrases like "I will call them as an accommodation to you" and "I have a patient here who has a misunderstanding about her benefits", etc. All in all it took 3 calls that day to the insurance company to get Jill to acknowledge that all charges were covered and I should not be paying out of pocket. I was 100% correct in my understanding of insurance benefits due! I completely understand that misunderstandings about coverage can occur but during this visit, Jill did not take the time or effort to try and verify what I was saying. Instead, she made me feel like I was automatically wrong, demonstrating a disappointing version of customer service - "the customer is wrong until they can prove themselves right". Even after FINALLY acknowledging that my expectation of insurance eligibility was 100% correct - Jill never apologized. All she said was "I have never seen a situation like this with insurance". My advice is - check your insurance in advance of the visit. Understand your coverage and speak up before allowing them to charge you incorrectly. You have to be your own advocate when you step into this office. I am rating with 2 stars based on my completely disappointing experience with the office staff, not Dr. Troung. read more

I have a little history with eye issues and injury along with a significant need for vision correction. I had an experience at Forsight Eye Center that I would say was not so pleasant. I would like to make clear however that my experience had nothing to do with Dr. Truong. In fact, Dr. Truong made room for me at the very last minute when I did not have an appointment. I found her extremely professional and very personable. In my opinion, she is a fantastic optometrist. My experience was with one staff member out front. After purchasing a pair of sunglasses, I returned to the store to question the price after finding them much cheaper on the company's website. The lady whom I was talking to made a comment that I took as very flippant. I do not believe there is room for that kind of attitude anywhere when performing a customer service role and I hope this lady realizes the impact of her words and how her attitude reflected on the entire office. Though I might not return, I highly recommend Dr. Truong for your eye care needs. read more
