Not the best of the Costco locations I have been to in and around the metro Atlanta area and this one in the Forsyth county has everything in abundance. The traffic, the people, the lines, the demand for parking, lines for the gas station, entrance and exit, almost everything that would make the shopping experience a little difficult and frustrating at times. The people or the crowd here is just awful and don't have any basic sense of understanding by blocking yours and everyone's way even if you want to go into aisles and won't move away despite saying "Excuse me" repeatedly. Staffs turn a blind eye to these incidents. Weekends would be pathetic with so much crowd and lines extending till the end of the store (Meat section) and very busy in the evenings on a normal day. Also the Gas prices are up by at least 10cents compared to Alpharetta or Dunwoody Costco. The gas station has long lines and there is no way to get past the people waiting for Gas because this one's usually a single lane. The staffs barely have any sense or knowledge on how to control the long lines. At least on a busy weekend evening one would have to open up more lines and not shut them down in the middle. The tire center is another gone case. Have been to Dunwoody and Alpharetta tire centers and their services are far better and on time in most scenarios. Had to wait for 2 hours straight despite having an appointment. Then why to have appointments if people are entertaining walk in's at the last moment and giving that as excuse. I would not recommend this Costco at all unless you don't have anything near by than this. read more

I've been coming to this Costco for five years, but after what happened, I'm honestly done. I was shopping with my mom and we stopped at one of the sample stands. The employee was literally sitting there on her phone. My mom went to grab what looked like a sample-sized bag and said "thank you," and the lady SNATCHED it out of her hand and said, super angrily, "Don't you try to take the whole bag." It was so rude and unnecessary. My mom was being completely polite, and there was no reason to act like that over a sample. The attitude was crazy. This Costco has seriously changed over the years, and not in a good way. Customer service used to be way better. They really need to work on the type of people they're hiring because no one wants to spend their money somewhere they get treated like that. #TeamSams!!!! read more

Busy, busy Sunday afternoon! It wasn't until I arrived that I realized I didn't have my Costco card. I went to customer service and Maria was able to get me a temporary print out. Although the store was busy, and as expected there were crowded aisles and cart congestion at aisle intersections, everything was clean - including the bathrooms. I was able to pick up some non-perishable snacks, and they were on sale!, since I won't be home for a few hours. Checking out was easy with the temporary print out, the cashier only needed to see my ID to proceed. Bathrooms were also clean. I was also able to get gas with the temporary printout. I showed it to the gas attendant before paying. Gas price is $2.99/gal for regular today. read more

We purchased tires for our vehicle and had to return 3 days later because the tires weren't balanced correctly. When we returned to pick it up they told us 3 of 4 rims were bent. There is zero damage to the rims. I took it somewhere else and they said they weren't balanced. After leaving the other company no issues. We have not even 20k miles on the tires and just had the tires balanced and rotated again and they said they are wearing evenly and you will need new tires in 5k miles. Returned to have a tire fixed 2 months after getting them serviced and today I was told they aren't going to warranty them because they aren't wearing evenly and we are wearing them out because we have a heavy vehicle and it's all wheel drive. I swear every excuse they can come up with not to help. Stay away from Costco for tires. They don't stand behind their service! If Sam's Club was here I would not step foot in another Costco! read more

The crowding here is a public hazard. They do absolutely nothing to control the crowds, and now they add a line to get into the store to scan cards that doesn't work half the time. The used to have 2 entry card scanners and now they reduced it to one. When it is super busy they simply do not staff the store the way it should be. The self check out is a disaster and the line often extends towards the rear of the store. The employees are rude and move very slowly. BJ's is down the street I would recommend using them. read more

This is my go to Costco when driving up ga 400. Stopped by to gas up cheaply. And bowl of chili at their food court, which is best item in the winter. Bowl of chili is pictured with free onions. Normal Costco and copy of the interior of any other in the OTP Area. Prices: great value for your shopping dollar compared to other stores. Staff: Friendly and nice at this location. Always non rushed. Customers: more friendly than the city. Food Court. Busy, but cant beat the price. The 'hot dog / soda' is a steal, at under a couple of bucks. Today was chili day. Fruits/Vegetables. My favorite section of the store. Grab everything you need to make a healthy meal at home. $4.99 rotisserie chicken is good. Gas. Great price and no wait. Nice Costco location in Cumming. The store was clean and nicely organized; and the staff was friendly. We were in a rush to get a few things done for an upcoming event, and included was getting some flowers, foods, and other party favors from Costco. This location did not disappoint at having everything we needed. Before the great pandemic I was a fan of free samples at Costco, but with Covid there is no longer the free samples; they have been scaled back. I was glad to see they were giving out free samples of things at this store like individually packed snacks, shampoo, and other items. Like I said we were in a rush, so it was refreshing when we got to the front and there wasn't much of a line to get though the checkout. Scanned my membership and lady would not let me in the store saying my picture wasn't me. It was me. I could not believe the treatment I got from Costco from being a long time customer. Our family loves going to Costco and I usually purchase their ready to bake family meals. I swung by after work on 2/14/22 and decided to get some ready to bake items. Shopping at Costco is a pleasant experience but unfortunately today when I went to go return a few items, it was a major letdown because of this one customer service employee who processed my returns. Don't know if it was an off day for them but they sounded rude and could sense discrimination in a certain type of way. I was surprise and in shock that today early around 10:25am when I went to check out at the register, a "manager" was helping out taking things out my shopping cart. He was on a rush apparently. I said to my 5 year old, to please step aside because she was on my way and on the gentleman that was helping us too. He overheard me and say back to me " OHHH NO MAM THATS NOT MY JOB" I didn't know what to say, to him because all employees from Costco are so profesional! I just said to him "don't worried" I can take everything from my cart myself! This is my favorite Costco out of all the Costco membership that I belonged to, even when my Mom lived behind one in California. My favorite greeter is JERRY! (/chants: Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!) Jerry is that guy who you would love to have as your neighbor! He is super friendly and just has that gift of greeting people and making them feel so welcome! I am loud and friendly myself, so it was like seeing an old friend. I have been shopping at this Costco for a VERY long time and it's always a good time when Jerry is greeting you at the door! I have to give kudos to the entire staff team at this location when COVID was 1st announced and how AWESOME this Costco prepared the store for all of us who shopped there! I was very impressed how clean, masked requirements, and responsive to everyone and how supportive everyone was. You can tell this is a good Costco to work for and everyone genuinely work like they care and always strike a conversation with you at the check out line just like at Trader Joe's, overall very friendly. Come here once a month to stock up on coffee, or head to the meat section. Love the fresh meats. seafood, especially the 1 lb lobster tails- have to ask sometime. Pricey it seems until you go out and try to eat a 1 lb tail. The best bargains are the kitchen and cleaning stuff, TP, paper towels but like stop browse and find a good wine, outdoor patio items, fresh produce an fruit. I'm glad they opened this Costco. The closest one from here is the one in Alpharetta, which if you've ever been, is completely oversaturated with people. The lines are always insane no matter what time of day you go. This Costco was purposefully opened to absorb some of the population that goes to Alpharetta. It was a much-needed move, because Costco on weekends is insane. There are many reasons to love Costco. For a lot of bulk items, the prices are good. I've read somewhere that buying toilet paper and paper towels and such is actually not cheaper than sales at regular grocery stores, but somehow I haven't really taken the time to investigate if that's really true or not. I prefer to believe I'm getting the best deals here. It's hard to get out of here for under $100. And it's like going to Target, you may have had one reason to come, but leave with ten items you didn't know you had to have, too. They have their own brand, called Kirkland, and a lot of the Kirkland products are worthy. In fact, I prefer a couple of these items over brand names. That's a win-win. Another perk about Costco on the weekends is if you are hungry, they offer lots of samples of different foods they sell. And if that isn't enough to satiate you, they have a cafe area, where you can buy things like hot dogs and pizza for ridiculously cheap prices. You might think you don't need a membership here, because it's only you or only a couple people in your family. Even with just me and my daughter, I manage to get decent use out of my membership, and Costco has excellent customer service. They really want to make sure the consumers leave happy. This particular Costco only has wine and beer. They do have a liquor store right next door, but it's not a part of Costco. Apparently, they aren't far enough away to have the liquor license, since Alpharetta does. Major drawbacks for me are the parking, the crowds and trying to navigate your big cart around others big carts, the lines to check out, and by the way, there is no self check out at this Costco. Oh, and I get so bummed when I find something I like and next thing you know they have deleted the item. Lastly, I hate that they got rid of AMEX. Now it's only Visa here. Don't forget to fill up on your way out, because their gas prices are typically lower than any other gas station in the area. They have been so busy during the pandemic, but have worked tirelessly to keep it stocked - as best they could!! The customers in this store are the nastiest people on the face of the planet. They'll run you over, push you out of the way, esp when they're laser focused on the free food to stuff their face in. Came by this week during the whole coronavirus outbreak. Compared to most Costco's, this one is definitely a smaller location, but they still had a good amount of supplies available, and the cashier was great. She was in a good mood, and it was nice having someone so helpful. However, there was a sign near the paper towels one per family. I picked up two packs of water bottles, and I did not know it also included the water bottles. I had a lady scream at me in a rude manner stating "one per family," which I get in this circumstance, and like I said, I wasn't sure whether or not it applied to water bottles as well, and I was more than happy to put it back; however, it was extremely unnecessary to talk to someone in that manner. read more

My wife and I are big fans of Costco. This location is well run, and I find that employees are friendly and helpful. I like that I see many familiar faces in long time employees. Good quality on perishables and prepared foods - I'm a big fan of the $1.50 hot dog with drink (don't forget to get the cup of sauerkraut if that's your thing). The only negative for me is the pushing of Direct TV as one enters the store. I've learned to avoid that area as it gets old. Thought about deducting a star, but the store is otherwise so good. read more

Horrible experience with a 5mo old defective LG laptop. The store here in Cumming offers zero help while flushing me over to the "Costco Concierge Service" . Spent a few days proving to them that it's a hardware issue with the LG Laptop. Then Costco flushes me over to LG's 800 phone number that NEVER GETS ANSWERED. In the meantime, my daughter doesn't have a computer for school. I will never buy another computer here from Costco after this horrible run a round experience. Welcome home. That was the greeting I received when I flashed my badge the time walking in as a member. That's exactly how I feel about about this Costco. The Kirkland brand products alone warrants enough justification for the membership. Kirkland, Costco's private label offers continuously high quality products at discounted prices. You won't find a better deal for wine or meat anywhere. The quality of the grocery items I've ever purchased has far surpassed other grocery stores in my opinion. While I still go to Publix for their fresh baked bread, I turn to Costco for just about everything else in my life. I'm not one to normally rant and rave about customer service, but I really enjoy all the interactions with employees and they couldn't possibly be any more helpful. This store is very clean and well stocked. Anything you need from couches to cars, Costco's got it. The return policy is generous, they'll almost take anything back. Also, ever notice that the store layout/floor plan doesn't quite make sense? It's because Costco really wants your experience to be a "treasure hunt" and the customer walks out with more than they intended. I'm not mad at it, Costco. read more

Had a computer for 13 months into a two year Costco warranty. The computer was operational for 6 months of the 13 months and Costco will only submit for repairs while my daughter is at school months without a computer. They do not back electronic that you buy under warranty, only push you from warehouse managers to computer concierge support and back and forth. Spent over two hours on the phone after going into the store today. Will Never buy electronics or extended warranties from Costco again. Buy electronics from a retailer that knows what they are doing and backs the electronics they sell you. I guarantee we've wasted more time on their end than the cost of the computer. The gas savings alone pay for our yearly Costco membership! The price is generally at least 20 cents cheaper per gallon than nearby gas stations. They have regular- (87) and high-octane (93) gas. This Costco gas station has several pumps and it's right off Exit 15 in Cumming, so it's easy in, easy out. They just switched to accepting Visa rather than AmEx, so that makes payment even more flexible (no cash, though). In addition, the hoses connected to the pumps allow the nozzle to rotate, so you can pull the hose around to the far side of the car, if you happen to park on the wrong side as your gas tank (or if you're like me and find that everyone has their tank on the driver side nowadays and you don't want to be third in line). There aren't any squeegees for washing your windshield, but this ensures that you won't have to wait long, if you do have to wait at all. read more

Great place to shop. The ribs are always great and we get them about every 2 weeks. They are pre seasoned and all you have to do is follow the instructions on the package. Just cook them in the oven and you will have a great meal. The only thing negative I have is the lunch counter no longer serves chocolate ice cream. They have vanilla and something called Acaia. For the life of me I can't understand why they would drop chocolate. I was told by staff the order came down from corporate. What do they have against chocolate in Seattle? This is the south.
