However, everything billing-related has made this experience the absolute worst experience. This may come off harsh, but the fact is Milan Eye Center is incompetent when it comes to billing, and they refuse to take any responsibility. They hire a 3rd party billing company overseas, so every time you call their office to discuss anything "billing-related," you are automatically transferred to their overseas contracted billing partner. We have spoken to the billing company over and over again, month after month, and we get the same run-around. Nothing ever gets resolved. They'll get back to us, they will call us back, but they never do. So we call them, then back and forth, we start all over again. It is exhausting. Milan Eye Center then sends another bill. We have been dealing with this for almost a year... Why in the world would you hire such an incompetent company to handle all your billing? This is a multimillion-dollar eyecare practice. We knew this surgery would happen, and switched insurance plans as the new plan had a specific flat in-network $1,000 copay for each eye for Cataract Surgery. The total surgery should have cost $2,000, plus the additional co-payments for other doctor visits/eval pre- and post-surgery. Guess what? Milan Eye Center never billed UHC. At the last moment, we were forced into taking out a $5,000 loan from CareCredit to pay for the Cataract Surgery. To make matters worse, after the surgery, Milan Eye Center billing third party started sending bills for $3,900 for the same surgery. First of all. Milan Eye Center will NOT perform any surgery until the costs are all paid off in full, meaning you cannot enter the surgery room, hence why we had to take out the $5,000 loan. So a surgery that should have cost $2,000 with insurance ended up costing $5,000 + now they want another $3,900. Cataract Surgery is not $8,900, including insurance; the total to them should be $10,900? After the surgery, we spoke with the insurance. Milan Eye Center never filed it through them, even though they are in-network. After a year, we finally paid off the $5,000 loan we should have never had to taken out... and now they still want $3,900... Dr. Truong took the time to help me understand the situation with my eye and explained principles that will help me make decisions about my eye care in the future. He stated that I am likely not a great candidate for LASIK as my prescription isn't bad enough and that I'm more farsighted so LASIK was likely not going to help me and could potentially make things worse. I really appreciate when professionals advise you on things that are best for you and not on things that are best for their pockets. This means a lot to me and shows he cares about my well being. In addition, their frames appear to be significantly marked up to align with insurance coverage. Overall, the decline in service quality has become increasingly noticeable.

If you come during the weekend there can be a bit of a wait, but there are several comfortable seatings throughout the establishment to help you relax and the shades on the window help to get the sun out of your eyes. --Service/Staff-- Highly recommend Liza, which I believe is the owner, she has the glasses separated by your insurance which helps down select the frames you can choose from. She is up front on the pricing, and you are never shocked at the end as to what you will be out of pocket. I recommend speaking to her beforehand to get a guideline of the cost and what your insurance will cover. I also can't forget Dr. Ouyekwelu who is very knowledge in the optometry field.
