Unfortunately, I couldn't save the tooth; a crown wasn't an option, so I had to have surgical removal of erupted tooth. Dr. Andrew Nothem and his assistant (I forgot her name--Kyle, I think) were fantastic! They took X-rays and performed an evaluation of the tooth. They let me know exactly how much everything would cost, so I wasn't surprised by the final bill. Everyone in the office was very polite and professional, and the office itself was also very clean. I highly recommend this place; they have a great team working there. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that one of the doctors spoke Polish in that facility . I have never paid so much money to be talked to so rudely. The fillings they did less than 6 months…read moreago chipped and I was told I need to pay 3500 (after TWO insurances) to repair my teeth. When I explained how I cant afford that, (with a baby coming and heart surgery), I was told to ask my mom and dad or grandparents to pay for it. I was scoffed at when I said I didn't want x-rays (due to being pregnant). I was asked if I eat unhealthy and I explained I eat very healthy and have gestational diabetes so eat even healthier now and the minute I said diabetes she said "oh that's why." I asked, "that's why what?" And she said diabetes from eating unhealthy will cause these issues with your teeth. Very little health literacy on her part. Diabetes is more genetic, not all cases are from diet, especially gestational diabetes. I was charged $70 for the 10 minute "exam" where all they did was lift my lip up and look at their messed up work.

Not only was I treated extremely well and compassionately in all areas of care, the level of skill and dentistry involved was really A++. Their approach is truly client centered. Their office is run with a real team level of cooperation and integration, from the receptionist at the door to the assistants and doctors. The procedure I went through with them (dentures) was life changing and difficult for me. But they adeptly guided me in my choices and worked hard to assist me through this difficult transition. Today I enjoy smiling again, I wear a full set of dentures comfortably; and I consider myself lucky to have found them, and therefore able to write such a good review. Even better, there were some cancellations and I got in for a first time appointment within two days. Despite the current environment, I felt good about the precautions that are in place. You've got to call from the car to check in before entering, stand on opposite sides of the lobby from other patients, traffic flows in one direction, and everybody has on masks (some people even two or three). Overall the office is clean and modern with the latest equipment. Will was my hygienist and was fantastic. He was incredibly thorough, explained every detail/reasoning behind each step, and kept up good conversation and laughs throughout.
