Visited here while visiting a friends. We brought all the kids here and the kids had a blast & so did the adults! So many interactive things to do and little projects to so through out. I'm so happy we picked this spot to take the kids!

My family and I visited here today for my kiddo's birthday. This location is a tad hidden and if you don't have your maps on, you'll likely miss it. It's right next to the former sugar factory, but tucked in a bit behind it. Fair warning, this children's museum is A LOT smaller than the one in the Museum District. Like by a lot. It is probably 5 times, if not more, smaller than the MD location. Parking is a lot easier though as it's not as busy as their main location. Upon entering, it smelled of being freshly cleaned, which is reassuring that my kid (hopefully) won't catch any bugs here. Once inside, you have to walk a bit of ways until you get to the main desk. The cashiers check you in, take your payment and then issue you the museum stickers that signify that you've paid. There are a few main areas with smaller activities within them. The area immediately to your left after paying was mostly for Asian heritage/culture. Further down, there was another area that had various "Klutz" branded crafts within it - such as making unique paper airplanes along with "tests" to see if you could yank a tablecloth out from under some dishes. Further down in the museum, you'll find "Kidtropolis" which is basically their little kiddo town. This town has all sorts of pockets of stores, a bank, a vet's office, etc. Children can pretend to be a veterinarian, a banker, a CSI personnel, and even a chef. Overall, it was entertaining for an hour or so. We began looking for "the rest" towards the end of the town, but realized that was it.

Our family received a membership to Houston Children's Museum/FB Children's Discovery Museum for our kids for Christmas. We finally had a chance to try out this museum. We've been to numerous Children's Discovery Museums across the country so I was expecting a similar experience... meh, this place was just ok. We came with 4 kiddos ages: 9, 9, 7 and 6. The biggest takeaway, this museum is REALLY small. Once we got to the end, I asked a worker if there was more (an upstairs? another wing?). She kind of chuckled and said no. We blew through this place in less than an hour. The different rooms didn't have a ton to do and what they had to do, our kids weren't super stimulated. They would be in there for like 5-10 min and be like, "Can we go to the next one?" Out of all the play areas, our kids liked the H‑E‑B shopping one the best. (It paled in comparison to the Wegman's one at the Rochester National Museum of Play where the registers really scan barcodes and print out a REAL receipts as a "souvenir." But, we spent the most time in here. All in all, our kids had a good time BUT expected more. I totally don't think it's worth the $15pp price (Our visiting would have cost $75!!!) but like I said, we had a membership gifted to us. We're looking forward to visiting their sister museum.

My kids love coming here. There are so much to do and it's hand on. They can learn about the weather, being a vet, grocery shopping, being a cashier, and many more. It is packed with stuff to do with many crafty things. I took one star away because there is no food court. They only sell water and apple juice. Also, the girl that was working in the cloud room area was not engaging whatsoever with the kids. We were standing there for a good five minutes with 2 other family talking about the clouds and what we needed to do and all she did was look at us and look back down and didn't even bother to help us. We all left to a different section.

Saturday March 11th 3pm This is a hidden gem!!! For an adult and child they charged $30.. feel however you must about that price point. For the amount of attractions that are inside I think parking is minimal but maybe this isn't a huge attraction venue. There are tons of things for students and children of all ages to participate in. The variety was very impressive. I will definitely be back!

Cool for young children! Seems to be leaning more in the interactive kind of museum and not your typical huge one. The HEB is super cool and the bank. Also alot of learning stations

loved our time at Fort Bend Children's Discovery center. Must have spent a good solid 3 hours here. Located at the old Imperial Sugar factory, it must have been reclaimed as part of the complex. There was plenty of parking on Thursday afternoon that I arrived. The exhibits included a Mexican village, where kids could get familiarized with the foods and the work of a cobbler. I enjoyed watching the mini-videos which allowed me to appreciate tortilla making. There were many crafts available, (i think we spent about an hour doing crafts.) Bank of America sponsors the town square center- which allows kids to try out different professions such as working at the bank, the diner, the police investigators, a school teacher and even vote on council member debates for kid initiatives. Each kid gets a "atm card" and could earn and deposite funds from "Working" at the different jobs. The ATM actually works! withdraw funds deposit cash or paycheck. The science area was quite interesting as well - with magnets and hands on exhibits. We had a great time and would say its a must for parents with kids to just kill some time. Parking is very limited on the weekends - we went back on a Saturday as well and it was completely full.

Members can use their pass at either location. This location is actually ironically located in a fairly simplistic brick building that used to house a prison of all things. Parking is free. Inside there are just a few exhibits including life science, hall of technology, a special salt exhibit, hall of paleontology, space hall, and a few other exhibits that required a special extra fee like a dig pit. The exhibits are somewhat small but almost all have an interactive component which can be great for small kids. Part of our event included a very short tour of the second floor and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I work in a very different type of industry so this was really refreshing to see. They do have private meeting rooms that can be reserved which made it easy to have some meeting events in addition to time to wonder the exhibits. Overall, I enjoyed the day and glad that I got the opportunity to "be a kid again." If you're in the area it's definitely worth checking out. If you're far away however, I am not sure that I would make a special drive.

The kiosk only makes sense when purchasing multiple tickets but is still something for the business to take a look at. Overall, awesome space! Plan to stay several hours to enjoy all the offerings.

The holiday features were a big plus -- the snow playground was a fun seasonal surprise, and seeing Elsa, Anna, and Olaf with a Frozen sing-along and meet-and-greet made the visit extra special for younger kids. That said, the experience would have been much better with stronger upkeep. Many of the electronic exhibits were not working, unplugged, or appeared damaged, which was disappointing for kids who were eager to interact. The museum was also very crowded, making it hard to spend quality time at some of the most popular exhibits. Overall, it's a solid outing and we still enjoyed ourselves, but improved maintenance and functionality of the interactive exhibits would really elevate the experience.

It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. It's affordable, well-located, and thoughtfully run, but best suited for kids who do well with structure. We'll continue to visit, just not expecting major changes each time.
