Lots and lots going on at the Foco Senior Center. There are options for a multitude of classes if that is your jam, pickleball, basketball, racquetball, billiards, water aerobics, water volleyball, walking track, yoga, movies, hikes, and more. The fitness area for weights and cardio equipment is user friendly and in good condition. Prefer to go there vs my gym as it tends to be less crowded. The facility itself is of course geared for 55+, but anyone 18+ can come in and use the facility. Staff is friendly and there are usually multiple people available to assist you. This can be a busy facility however at times so there may be a chance you do have to wait a little bit if you have a question regarding something. Coffee is free if you bring your own cup, if you need a cup there is just the small fee of $1 and you can buy a cup from the desk. So many wonderful events and opportunities that happen here. As a recreation facility the Fort Collins Senior Center falls short on being considered a decent rec space. If you need to call regarding a question expect to be put on hold immediately and not addressed for 5-10 minutes. Upon entering the facility you'll be greeted by inpatient, unkind and distant staff. The staff are not trained in the majority of ongoings within city recreation, most staff rely upon their managers who they themselves are unhelpful. Speaking to a manager is a whole other issue as they're never available. The facility attendants are mostly helpful and attending to almost any issue/need you many have. The pool table area is okay however most cues, balls, etc are strewed about the area or just lost. In regards to the pool, look online before coming in because classes are scheduled and lanes may or may not be available. Speaking on the rental spaces available at the Senior Center there's nothing special or noteworthy to speak on. If you need to rent a space, don't expect a return call for 1-2 weeks. Those who come in the early morning for coffee, there is now a $1 charge for cups, so bring your own. With overall subpar staff and a underwhelming facility, I would recommend the Chilson Senior Center in Loveland. read more

This place is a dump. Bad billiards tables (SEE nancy review) AND the locker rooms have mold after being closed for repairs. Missing tiles. Fans in workout room are broken as are many machines. The pools is NASTY please read as FILTHY- probably violates health code. Caked with grime, grease, hair, so thick you can write your name it with your finger. This is bad stewardship by the city- DISGUSTING. The city does not give a damn. read more

Stopped at the front desk to ask a simple question. Instead of answering, she hands me a copy of the Recreator. Not sure why 'cause that didn't answer my question. She then proceeds to help 3 people who walked in after me, took a phone call, and helped the lady behind me. She finally spoke to me again, but didn't know the answer to the most basic question. The billiard (pool) tables are in terrible condition worn out felt (some even having rips). slate not level, side rails with no bounce. I have been told that they were due to be redone or better yet replaced for last 2 years. The staff always seems friendly but couldn't find a Supervisor when I went to let them know of the poor condition in that room. read more

The senior center is home to a bevy of events from looking on their bulletin board. What I came by for was the Ft Collins Holiday Market. There's a swimming pool here, a gym and a kitchen and numerous activity rooms. The holiday market that was set up here was well executed with all the vendors and senior center staff alike being all smiles and warm and inviting. read more

I love the Fort Collins Senior Center! I have been a member of the senior center for ten years! When you enter the center, you are always greeted by a friendly face from behind the check in counter. But it doesn't stop there! People who go there seen to be happy too! There is always a group gathered near the coffee machine and a huge container full of bagels. People will often invite you to join them at their table and in no time, you have made new friends. Before you know it, you become a member of this family of seniors. The classes and groups sponsored by the senior center, are another opportunity to get to meet new friends. Groups like the SOAP Troupe (Slightly Older Adult Players) not only take you into their fold, but also share their friendship In their performances right there at the Senior center! Any senior who, lives in Fort Collins or nearby, need never be lonely! Just find the FC Senior center and you will find a home! read more

I came here to attend a wedding on a budget. Overall it was an ok experience, however their sound system is not good at all. The speaker systems sounded like they were going to explode if they went any higher than easy listening level. My advice is if you are going to hold your special event here is to hire a dj! Oh and their restroom smells like a retirement home, but I guess that goes with the territory! read more

I come into town infrequently to watch my grandkids. Private gyms throw up too many issues to allow for a one or two-day usage. And they cost a lot more! This place is perfect, and very nice. While they don't have the latest equipment, they do have perfectly adequate machines and stations. They won't win a competition with Lifetime, but they absolutely will suffice for the traveller with no access to a hotel gym. For what they are I think they deserve SIX stars! read more

If you want a stress free experience and you do not want to worry if you have your day reserved. Then this is NOT the place for your event. I've had two parties here and both times it was frustrating and stressful dealing with Kelly Meyer! She is rude and makes you feel like your event is not important. She does not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner. I was worried and stressed up until the day of my party because she does not call or email back until weeks later. The only positive thing I can say is that the set up crew was wonderful. They set up everything the way I wanted and on time, but the stress of dealing with Kelly makes it not worth it. I've also had other family members have the same problem here. The only reason I went back a second time was because I figured I got her during a busy month, but that was not the case, she did the exact same thing the second time. read more

What a great facility! Open to all adults, but focusing on 55+, this is the place for active seniors and friends. Swimming, a fully-equipped work out area, basketball, pickle ball, billiards, water aerobics, walking track, yoga, plays and performances, movies, and all kinds of classes, hikes and trips are available, some free, and some for a low fee. No children in the pool or even in the building! This place is for adults who are active mentally and physically. I love spending time here. read more

The FC senior center itself is a beautiful facility. We have used the workout area and it is very nice. Decided to try the senior lunch. Out of 4 employees at desk only 1 could even tell us where it was located in the building. Finally found it. The lady at the check in for lunch was very personable and helpful. Most of the people working were nice but we were totally appalled and disgusted at the food that was served. I know it's the VOA that puts on the lunches and bless the people who volunteer and give of themselves. But we just couldn't believe how terrible the food was. And these are our parents and grandparents who are being fed. I just can't believe that in such a rich and growing state as we live in that this is all the better our government, cities, counties or whoever gives to these organizations to feed our elderly, should be ashamed and this should be looked in to. We heard remarks from others around us making comments about it but most of these people don't have enough to live on and they count on that meal to be there main source of a descent meal for that day. So they eat it anyway. I'm so embarrassed to think this is how we treat our seniors. I wish I were rich and could feed them myself. Broke my heart. Is this really all the better we can do?? read more
