I stopped by X-Golf Fort Collins and it honestly looked like one of the most fun places in town to hang out. The space is built around high-tech indoor golf simulators that track every swing and let you play famous courses while still being inside a lively sports-bar style atmosphere with food, drinks, and big screens everywhere. Even just walking past it, the energy in the room looked great and people seemed to be having a BLAST... I didn't stay because I was by myself, but it definitely struck me as the kind of place that would be a lot of fun with friends. I went with a couple of buds and we had a blast got 2 hours. The golfing software/hardware system is excellent and gives some really helpful data. On a Monday afternoon the variable pricing wasn't too bad. They charge per hour per bay, not by the person. There is a golf pro (not available on Mondays) who uses all the technology to fix your swing. Very high tech with motion sensor patches and video comparisons to pro golfers. There are 6 golfing bays, and I don't recommend more than 4 people per bay or you could wait slot in between strokes. If you are waiting they have a free (but small) putting area (totally flat). There is also a free ping pong table, and free. shuffleboard table. They have an excellent fully stocked bar. The bartenders and servers are very attentive and you won't be without a full glass very long. Happy hour is 3p-6p and 9p-close on weekdays and all day Sunday. They make some good (menu looks good) and will allow neighboring Bad Daddy Burgers and Smokin Fins to deliver/order in. It's very clean and well run. I'll be back!!! read more

i actually love this place the staff is always great the blond girl bartender is amazing and always so nice the only complaint is don't go any time close to league night they are so rude and try and push you off your bay so they can "warm up" they talk crap to you and haggle you to leave and it is not great but the place is fun the technology is pretty good and the drinks are not bad. read more

I would recommend this to anyone looking for the best golf simulator experience they ever had. Honestly having been to my fair share of them, I can say without a doubt the accuracy of the readings is second to none. How in the world are you suppose to eat chips and salsa when you use the mini ketchup cup for salsa ??? Like the chip is twice the size of the salsa cup ? Store bought tortilla chips to boot ??? Everything here was on point until our appetizers came. Pretzels , no cheese : tots came in a to go container and the salsa had store bought chips and a ketchup cup to dip in. I came to visit Fort Collins with my very accomplished golfer father and a family friend after watching them play 18 holes in Steamboat. I've never felt like I could play a round of golf with my father due to my inexperience. As a true beginner golfer I always felt like I was holding up play, bringing down the group, and just genuinely didn't 'get' the golf world. I recommended coming to XGolf after we ended up with a couple of hours to kill before a brewery tour. None of us had ever played on a golf simulator before. I booked our tee time online, we showed up and were golfing with beers in our hands within five minutes of walking into the door. XGolf allowed me to finally go golfing with my father. I wasn't concerned about slowing play for the parties behind us, I wasn't concerned about ruining the experience of a great course for my group with my incompetence, and I was concerned about wasting time looking for my balls. Not only did XGolf give me the opportunity to connect with my father, but it has ignited a passion for a sport I've always been intimidated by. I can't thank the crew behind XGolf enough. First time in. I play a lot of golf during the spring and summer. Fort Collins is sometimes too cold to play on a regular course, so thought this was a great idea. Went in with my wife and two friends. First thing we noticed was the place was fairly full with only one bartender. Turns out that bartender was also the only employee helping everyone at the simulators. About 30 minutes, another employee showed up, but then so did the crowd. Way too busy for only two employees to be working. They did their best to keep up and always seemed to be working, just too many people for them to be able to give adequate service. This is a fairly new establishment. There needs to be more supervision. Will have to decide if I will go back. read more
