I've been here three times the past five years. I scored a desert and woodland colombian pixelado uniforms and a Polish insulated jack jacket. The guy is a bit strange but means well. He talked to my sister about her college a d nursing career. He was very nice and seemed like he really wanted us to leave happy. The owner was very friendly. We called in today around 3:30 to see if the store was open. The owner informed us he was closing at 4 but that he would wait for us. It took us 15 minutes to get there, and yes he was there waiting. The store is stocked with so many different items and prices are reasonable for it being a surplus store. I wish I could give less than 1 star. My daughter and I were denied service because we refused to wear a mask. By order of the governor, you can't mandate masks or face fines. I guess he didn't get that memo. For someone selling American military clothing, you think he would understand freedom. I'm not sure it's worth complaining to the governors office. The owner was extremely interested in me, said I reminded him of his daughter, kept wanting to know personal details about my life, then arguing with me making me justify how I live my life, giving unsolicited personal / religious advice, and made me very uncomfortable wanting to hug me too much... acted like we'd met before, which we certainly had not. Prices are high for used military stuff. The owner is a whack job. He's rude and I think he's hiding something. I don't recommend this place at all. All I wanted to do was to compare my ruck sack to one of his so I can identify what pieces I'm missing. He said no rudely. He should get no stars but I have to at least give one I guess. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! We went there looking for a cheap pair of boots. When we walked in the man running the store said welcome. All the boot were along a wall with nothing marked with a price. We politely asked the man if if he would take $30 for the boots. The man yelled at us "this is my house!! Remember that!!" I told him we just wanted to know what he was asking for the boots and he said "All boots, $90." The boots we used and new ones on Ft Bliss are only $75. So I asked him (politely) if he would take $35. The man became irate. So we left as he was screaming bible verses at us. This guy was CRAZY!!! CRAY CRAY!!! I couldn't believe what had just happened. Zero stars if I could. The owner is crazy!! Super religious for no reason. Kept talking about how Walgreens and pork is going to kill everyone. I kept trying to get him back on track with helping me find what I need so I could go about my business. Super unorganized, super creepy, not one item in there has a price tag. Not to mention it was 120 degrees in there! Every time I would ask how much he would quote me way more then the army would have. Which then I proceeded to tell him I will look elsewhere or set up payments through the army. Then he started yelling that we disrespect him and I politely told the man we are leaving and thank you. Nice and welcoming gentlemen when I walked in. I was specifically looking for ammo cans, which he has a ton of. Price of the .50 cals was $20/each which is about the price you'd pay for new, which these were certainly not. I saw a random .30 can can and he said those were $10, which is reasonable. The one can I saw was scratched and one side painted solid white. I asked if he had others and he looked around for a little bit before asking if I was from Washington DC. Many of my questions were went unanswered but received cryptic answers. I was starting to feel pretty uncomfortable. I received a text and got an immediate "no pictures on here", to which I said it was a text. That was it for me. If I were you, I'd go elsewhere. read more

Went there today, found some hard to find gear no prices marked, it started with a total of over 300 for 3 items, then 274, then 230, then 195, after I showed him the OCIE depreciated price list was available for everyone to see and his prices were insane. the final price wasn't far off and he had the equipment right there so I handed him my card. He handed it back almost immediately and said no go, I handed it back to try again because know that card was good to go he immediately handed it back. I watched him swipe it backwards. This guy is a joke his store is utter chaos and his prices are outrageous he gets offended when you tell him they are. Do yourself a favor and download the current price list for this type of gear and don't get screwed by this guy. Now I see why the parking lot was completely empty. read more

I went here looking for the multicam A2CU and the man working here was selling them for 176$. He had to be crazy. He has alot of camo and I see why! I then offered to buy just the trousers but he said no I sell them in sets. Nothing is marked with a price so you have to bid him. If you want good quality military gear for reasonable prices in El Paso I highly recommend GI Supply or just buying on Ft Bliss u will come out cheaper. I've passed by this business many times in the past, but it always seemed closed because there were never any cars parked in front. That is, besides the camouflaged prop of a truck the owner uses for advertizing. Today, I happened to see that the door was ajar so decided to stop in. A one clown circus. Lots of old and new, UCP and OCP, stuff for sure, from where I stood. The one dude, who I assume is the proprietor, stopped me just inside the door. It was about 11:15 and I was the only customer in the store, like he just opened up for the day. He gestured to not go past him then proceeded with his sales interrogation routine-think "Soup Nazi" technique from Seinfeld. After describing the item I wanted, he simply tells me he has it-no price, no condition, just that he has it. Never bothers to go fetch the item for me to see and touch. Afrer a short awkward silence, I ask "sooooo, how much do you want for it?" He replies with another question: "do you really want it?" I told him "that's what I'm here for." Then he gives me an outrageous price. My eyeballs sprang from their sockets and my jaw dropped to my boots. He gives me attitude like, he won't budge any lower and I should feel lucky he has what I need. I rolled my eyes and walked out without uttering another word, disgusted by the whole experience. Having researched the item ahead of time, I know that the price he demanded is just slightly more than the 10% depreciated price Army finance would charge me for the missing item. A freak show of a business. Would not recommend to anyone. If you see his barf green building on Dyer St, look the other way, make the sign of the cross and move smartly past...run Forest, run! There's another similar shop down the road on Fred Wilson that is always crowded with customers and they are very reasonable, not to mention more polite and helpful. read more
