I am a super planner. How so? Well when I prepared to move to Augusta over 8 years ago, I sought…read moreout a Post Office Box. Why? Well, I planned for the likelihood of moving a few times before buying a new home (and I was right). I also wanted a location that was open at least 30 minutes past my clock-out time and close to my place of work so I could get a package did it require me going to the cashier window. Yeah, I thought about all that before choosing a Post Office. And here I am, still checking my box once a week for my mail. There is a great convenience to having the same mailing address though we have moved 5 times since being in the area. Though it sits at a busy intersection, it is a great midpoint for the Mall, Target, or downtown. The staff is always friendly (I wanted to make sure I mentioned that) and even other box holders are quick to say "good morning" or "hello". One day I will no longer need a box here, but for the time it is the ideal location for one. *Insider's Tip -It is the same amount whether you renew for six months or twelve months at a time. You never know what could happen so just do six months.

My experience with the USPS employee named Jeff was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I…read morecame in simply trying to explain that my packages were not being delivered because I recently moved into a gated community and USPS needs a gate code to access the property. Before I could even finish explaining the issue, Jeff repeatedly interrupted me, raised his voice, and spoke to me in a rude and disrespectful manner as if being loud was going to intimidate me. Instead of actually listening and helping solve the problem, he handed me a slip to place in my mailbox for the carrier. The issue with that solution is that the mailbox itself is located inside the same gated area, so the carrier still cannot access it. I was trying to explain that, but he continuously cut me off. Customer service starts with listening. A simple conversation and a little patience could have resolved the issue. I understand everyone has difficult days, but no customer deserves to be spoken to with disrespect when they are just seeking help. I hope USPS addresses both the lack of communication and the need for better solutions for residents in gated communities.

Now just refuses to deliver my mail at all because she wants the box in a different location. I have not gotten my mail delivered properly in the two and a half years I have lived here. The post office clerk, Ian, is useless and opinionated without knowing all the facts. He knew about the situation with my mail from the carrier on my route and decided to enter his opinion on. "Someone took it upon themselves to move their box". No, my mailbox was in that location when I bought my house. I never took it upon myself to move it anywhere. I refuse to bring my mail to be delivered out of that post office because I can't trust it. I highly doubt that any mail that comes through there is treated with any respect. So I cannot with any confidence send packages out through there. I go to peach orchard location if I need anything mailed out. Windsor spring road is by far the worst post office I have ever worked with in my life. I would drive to another county to work with their post office over this one.

The employees are all very nice and helpful if you have a package pick up or require their assistance.
