First off, I can't leave no stars or give them a half a star because they are about a half ass organization. I've had two different congressional appointments to discuss with United States Postal Service, and why I can't get my new built & purchased house address activated and delivered. I talked to Congressman Allen's aid she forwarded my complaint about times, ended up on the desk of a woman named Pamela (706) 562-1882 Who handles the Georgia congressional Complaints. She called me 4:30 PM on a Friday and we talked. She said she would do an investigation and get back with me and She called back 19 minutes later left a voicemail that I'd have to get the cluster mailbox or pay for a PO Box and I still couldn't get certain packages delivered the end! Well state past 12 years ago a stupid law that new divisions and subdivisions have to have a cluster mailbox. It makes sense that way the postman just goes to the box and deliver all the mail and the people come and pick it up it saves fuel But there should be exclusions in there because I'm one house one they have to drive by it every day to directions when they're delivering mail to other houses that were put in for the law, but this uneducated woman said no not once, but twice, even though I had all the evidence proving that the address was made available to her post office, three years prior to the law changed! So to activate my house address I have to spend out of pocket funds for the cluster mailbox they cost $2,700 on low end just outside of town the other 7 plots on my street are nature and for sale by owner & he isn't building any more houses It's not a neighborhood because the streets only connect from the highway one way in one way out. She tried to say that it was a subdivision, wrong again you have to have a Home Division before you could have a subdivision so her lack of education and experience is being shown once again! These are the uneducated people, United States Post Pffice likes to hire and that's why they're always in US Congressional Hearings making excuses for All the stupid rules and decisions they come up with. I literally think They get together for a group function and play a game of polish darts vs playing polish archery it's safer and that decides how they waste taxpayers dollars! This truly is just another leaching Government Agency for your annual taxes should be called "anal taxes for dealing with these assholes!" Are used to believe in being nice and respectful, but after dealing with this group of idiots out of Augusta, I'm retired and they don't deserve my respect they are ran by machine and operated by brainless minions and Peons and I can't tell you who the woman I talk to which one she is but I really won't be volunteer or gift any of my tax dollars, especially if she refuses too do the one thing the USPS Government Organization is Designed to do, deliver my mail! read more

United States Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

This is a smaller post office; however, the staff is very polite & professional. It's helpful that they're very efficient too and if there's no complicated shipping customers ahead of you, yr generally in & out within 15 min. Best advice is to be prepared when going, so you don't hold everyone else up, or at least go online to get yr questions answered before hand. I bought a book of stamps & hope everyone continues to support USPS in all that they do for everyone, without any extra accolades, they do the best that they can to get us our mail thru all of the craziness going on. Two words: Government entity. That being said, this Post Office is not completely terrible. The employees are very helpful and they try to be as efficient as possible. I have been to this location at different times and during the weekends and weekdays and service is consistent. There is a self-service kiosk for your stamp and standard boxes and letters over 13 oz. The holiday season is always hit or miss on availability as people who seem to not use the Post Office other than this time of the year appear and sometimes slow the lines down if they don't prepare or box their items ahead of time. The mail delivery service from this place has gotten worse. They miss deliver mail all over the neighborhood and they are now coming around 7:00 pm. Packages sit in the unit foe over 24 hours before they are put out for delivery. The carriers are full of excuses and don't care about the job they do. This has nothing to do with the Corona Virus or the elections. This poor service has been going on for almost 10 years and it never seems to get any better. They need to close the post office and contract out the mail service. It is no secret that these fools are over paid. read more

This is the closest Post Office to where I live so I come here every once in a while. I mostly use the Post Office to purchase stamps (I love writing letters!). I have never had to wait in a long line and the staff has always been super helpful and patient (I buy stamps in bulk so that I don't have to come back so often--but I still want to see all the options. You know what, it might be a good thing that there are never any lines--I might be the person everyone hates at the post office!) I've never been here once where I thought it was dirty or in a disarray. The staff at this location do a great job on service and upkeep. read more

There's never a line here! :-) However if you want to use the APO machine, you're out of luck more often than not. On more than one occasion I've had either the machine down or the mailbox drop box stuck. I lean on the USPS for their 24 hour APO when I have eBay packages to drop off and I'm sure the buyer appreciate it but I want to kick the building when a promised service is down or can't process my credit card. I've only been to the other post office near woody BBQ and lulu car wash, so this trip was vastly superior. There are all the standard boxes and envelopes for free besides the automatic kiosk. Great tool and wish all the post offices had them. Sending standard boxed items, buying stamps, and sending heavy letters is easy with the kiosk. This time though, I had to go through the main line because of the box I was sending. Never fear, the Friday afternoon that I went on was not busy. The great people behind the counter are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I finished everything in five minutes. I will definitely use this place. read more
