A very good example is of their leniency of major traffic violations of folks who drive expensive automobiles and live in pricey neighborhoods. The CCP has zero problems pulling over teens on their way to and from school for speeds slightly over the limits. As soon as school is in session the traffic speeds up to 10-20 mph over the speed limits. Specifically in the Huguenot/Robious intersection all the way to James River High School. Tailgating is at an entirely different level in Chesterfield and could easily be enforced instead of search for the less enfranchised driving less expensive vehicles. I drive using a dash cam and have dozens of videos of CCP vehicles violating traffic laws (running red lights and stop signs, speeding with lights on to avoid stopping at red lights only to turn the lights off when through the intersections, cutting off other drivers, tailgating, blinding drivers with excessive bright lights of drivers being pulled over and more dangerous drivers passing by,....) all while not in pursuit of anything or anyone. Aside from the traffic I have encountered some of the most rude and obnoxious officers who should be working flipping burgers NOT carrying firearms. I could easily go on for hours at the incompetences of CCP but perhaps it just may be more appropriate to pay attention to these Keystone Cops set to "protect" us.

This time it was 9:00 am and no one was in line ... wow that's a first. The clerk was friendly and welcoming. I complimented her on how well stocked the front was. Neat and organized. She expressed how she does this every morning she works. All your postal needs were there. Different size packing boxes and envelopes, cards, priority mail flat rate boxes and envelopes. A variety of stamps for all of us who still Send Mail. Yes I grabbed some. I was a happy customer when I left. Thank you Chester Post Office for all your hard work at delivering our mail.

This confusing setup has a bunch of national park land adjoined to a privately owned historical…read moresite. Focusing only on the national park site, I found a visitor center with an introductory movie. While I was perusing the exhibitions right outside the theater, they managed to close it and lock it without letting me know the movie was starting. Which is a little irksome, but may have worked out for the best as I got to the outdoor site and managed to get a run of it and take some pictures just as a weather front was heading in. Some people had traveled from Michigan to tour the area, which I think was a good decision for them as you don't get this kind of history up there. The national park site has some ruins and signage after crossing a boardwalk over the swamp. While not huge in scope; I spent maybe an hour on the site in total, it gives you a feel for the challenges that settlers would have faced. The signage provides compelling information for visitors of all ages, and the views of the waterfront and nearby ferry are majestic as well. You'll get a sense of historical nuance with a lot of players in the area, and an aesthetic experience as well. There is a wildlife drive and this place does have a parkway running to Yorktown, albeit currently not fully open due to major construction. I did not have time for everything the area has to offer on this passing visit, but there is a lot regardless of how much time you have.

If an item cannot be found at this location, they're very quick to locate and order it for you. The staff is very obliging and eager to help out, whatever the topic is. After I moved here I went in to look for community information and resources and the lady at the information desk went above and beyond to assist me. I came out loaded with books, printouts, brochures, and even some hand-written recommendations and suggestions. As this is the closest library to me I've visited often and I've always had the same great treatment from the staff. If this is the library that is closest to you, it is definitely worth utilizing.
