Agree with the review below me. Absolutely the nicest and cleanest restrooms in any airport I have ever been. And I mean spotless. It also had this really nice chair with artwork above. Shocked. The outside looks more like an elementary school than an airport. We have a 6:20 flight and walked in at 4:20. Nobody was here. Security gates where closed but plenty of area to wander around and sit awaiting for them to open. TSA was a little slow to get through, but with few people in line and a little wait for the flight, it didn't really matter. There is some vending machines on the other side of security, a coffee area but that's it. Simple, small, clean is what you get. Almost feels more like a little private airport with the exception of TSA. read more

Me and my husband arrive at the air port no one up front we barely got on our flights had issues we getting my boarding pass the lady at the front was rude as hell the envoy short lady that boards the flight was rude as hell made us get in the back of line when we was trying to explain our issues and than get on the plane fin dirt ass seats and I don't care if your flight is 30 minutes you should still offer customers and drink and a snack we paid a lot of money for a bad experience we had again if u don't like your job helping people go to fast food place treat people how u would you like to be treated read more

TSA were friendly. It's easy and smooth transition; however, the two girls at the check in for American Airline station on Saturday, Jan 06, 2024 at 4:30PM were extremely rude and condescending. The girl with brunette straight hair around her 20's was aggressive because she wants to go back to chat with her blonde friend. Manager should check on her. She snapped at me because I asked her kindly where to place my luggage and she was screaming "white x". Like how was I supposed to know that? There was no one behind me either. She was excited to go back to chat with her friend. I'm not gonna release her name but she should check her attitude especially working in a public service. You can't get away with that stuff anymore with social media honey. So have manners and choose to do better or just stay home from work and chat with your friend all day. read more

If I could give it a 0, I would. I was trying to fly my mom out for Christmas, but her flight was delayed, par for the course with AA in general. Concerned she was going to miss her connection, she left security for the Tkt counter, only to find out that once she left security, there would not be a TSA member to let her back in for her delayed flight and the next flight would have been 6 pm. Her original flight was 11 am. Absolute BS for an airport. Save yourself some unnecessary headaches and fly out of Fayetteville. read more

Nice airport. It is very clean and easy to find everything. If you have an early flight, don't go too early. They don't open TSA until 4:45am, I am posting a picture of their official schedule advertised at the airport. In at airport there is a restaurant called ARTS, it is always closed when I walk by because I'm an early traveler. Once you Pass the security gate waiting area there are no stores or restaurants. You are limited to cash only vending machines for water, snacks, and instant coffee. I would recommend that you pack any snacks needed. Just be sure to take them out along with liquids when you go through security. read more

This is a lovely regional airport. There is plenty of civil war stuff to look at before you head thru security. TSA agents are friendly and there is never a line. Honestly getting here an hour early is plenty. There are plenty of wingback chairs and Love seats make for everyone at the 3 gates. There is free wifi & 2 work tables that seat 6 with lots of outlets. I'd give these guys a 5, but it is still a regional airport. Vending machines with $2 banana moon pies just can't be 5star. If you are thirsty there is a coke AND a Pepsi machine, as well as a coffee machine. read more

It is a small airport but it has the best airport bathroom in US lol. Parking is free within 30min.

We flew into this airport for the day and got fuel at the self serve pumps. We parked near the pumps and got an Uber to go eat. When we returned, we couldn't get back in to our airplane. We called the numbers posted and they were literally saying they couldn't let us into the airport. When asked how we were supposed to get our airplane they just couldn't figure that part out. Apparently, they only want you to park on the other side of the field and pay an insane fee to their FBO to park on the land already paid for by our tax dollars. That would be one thing if there was any signage to indicate that was the case. But there is not. Nor is there signage that says you won't be able to get back into the airport if you leave. Very poorly run and very poorly thought out airport. Frankly, the worse I've seen in the country. read more

It's like your personal airport. Staff is very patient and helpful. The lobby has some history about the airport that is very interesting, the restrooms are nice and clean, the best part is that they have mirrors that are perfect for "mirror selfies". The terminal has comfy seats. read more

I really need to reconsider flying into Little Rock, and driving the extra half hour to my final destination over flying into Fort Smith. There is no food once you walk past security, and I was told that was done purposefully when they rebuilt this airport. There are only a couple of vending machines, and Keurig coffee at $2 a cup. The food options outside of security are limited to one deli-like diner. Probably the strangest thing about this airport are the toilet seats (I know, a weird thing to comment on). The toilets are non-standard, uncomfortable, and very large (feels like you're going to fall in, and I'm a big guy!). I'm guessing that some overzealous salesman talked the administration into purchasing electronic toilet seat covers with rotating plastic that doesn't rotate by the wave of a hand. Anyhow, it seems very wasteful/unsustainable to use plastic covers instead of the normal covers you see at nearly every airport in the country. read more

You might think the enormous bronze statue in the foyer would be the talk of the page, or the real old school airplane that's suspended, but no... it's the bathrooms. When you walk in the the bathrooms you actually see a plaque that explains that these bathrooms have won the award for being the best bathrooms of any airport in the country. True story. Now I've just uploaded a picture of the interior of the Men's Room, and I hope it remains, because they are not only immaculate, but country club like. Out of all the airports I have ever been in (I have been in a lot) this one is by far the most interesting. I think it mainly has to do with how small it is and how "homey" it is. Not only are the roads easy to manouver but the parking is cheap. They also have the typical drop off and exit route as well. What makes this airport so different though is it has history of Fort Smith on the walls and shows you about the town you just flew into. Not something I have found many airports to do. I must also mention that the Fort Smith airport was put in a magazine for how awesome their bathrooms were. HORRIBLE customer service by American Airlines agents. I've flown out of here 3 times in the past year and a half on the last flight and it's been cancelled every single time. Last night they spilled fuel all over the plane and runway so we had to exit the plane and thus we couldn't outfly the storm and the flight was cancelled. When I went to rebook the flight at the ticket counter there was originally 6 men in front of me which became 20 and they told the two agents to rebook them all together. So I stood there for 25 minutes while they negotiated the flights. I got up there and the female agent (working 10/11 7:00pm, short brown hair) asked me which flight I wanted out the next day. They couldn't get me out when I wanted (I ended up having to leave 24 hours the next day). I asked the agent for just a second so I could find out if my ride could pick me up at the airport. I wasn't on the phone for even 10 seconds but the agent told me "if you're just going to stand there and talk on your phone you need to move so I can help the next person". I hadn't even been at the desk for 2 minutes while she spent 25 with that group who ended up taking a bus anyway. She was horribly rude, it was obvious that she didn't care and I wasn't worth as much time as the businessmen. I work in the exact same business at DFW, except a million times busier and I would NEVER talk to a passenger like that unless provoked. read more

This airport is the best airport. Very small and very at home style decor. The check in lines are usually not long, as crew we get through faster. When your at your gate, which is not a far walk at all, you see couches and chairs that make you feel like your at home or in a nice hotel atmosphere. I can remember my captain saying are you sure we are at the airport..lol Not sure what the cost is flying out of this airport but I highly recommend it. Gate agents are very friendly here. read more

You expect an attendant to hand you a linen towel it is such a nice area! Everyone in the airport is extremely nice and friendly. The good: Couches and overstuffed chairs in place of normal airport seats. And they are deservedly proud of their "award winning" bathrooms. The bad: The only food options past security are a couple of cash only vending machines. If you want a Coke but only have a Visa card then you are out of luck. Also, even if you have TSA Pre-check this airport still requires you to remove laptops, liquids, and gels from your bags, unlike larger airports that allow you to keep them in. read more

By far the cutest, albeit smallest, airport I've ever been to. Difficult to get to (not sure there are many direct flights - minus one star), but easy to leave! It was so quick to maneuver around. There was war memorabilia everywhere, and my goodness - the bathrooms! Cutest set up. There was even a lounge area in the gate, complete with comfortable chairs. American Airlines is the worst and I suggest everyone steer clear. We have been pushed around and taken advantage of during our last two flights and this airlines holds no responsibility for their actions. They had a lack of staff at Fort Smith airport which caused my wife and I to be unable to check in even though we were there 45 minutes early. The only people to be found were the TSA workers who were rude and not helpful. We called customer service to get on the next flight and were charged an additional $150 to change flights due to their error. On our way home we receive a voicemail while we are in the air saying our flight home was cancelled. The information center representative said it was because of "traffic congestion" in Fort Smith and we were to be delayed 10 hours. They refuse to pay for a hotel room, rental car, or even acknowledge their mistake. We were told "it's not our fault, you are welcome to sleep on some cots or pay for your own hotel and can to get there". This has been ridiculous and I am going to do everything I can to prevent other people from using this company. Customer service is dead. Do yourselves a favor and just drive everywhere. As for FS Regional Airport, hire more customer service reps and less TSA people that just sit on their thumbs all day. Someone should be at that front desk at all times to help CUSTOMERS, since they are the ones paying your bills after all. read more

When I flew home, the guy searching my bag apologized repeatedly for having to throw away my toothpaste. Sure, it was like 4.3 oz, but I thought since it was about 1/2 gone it wouldn't matter. It's so unfortunate that the entire experience of this cute, clean airport was tainted by a hostile, aggressive old white mentally warped man working the counter of the cafe. He was very irritated before I even encountered him in this cafe. I did not notice the HUGE sign that said the seats were for the patrons of the cafe. Completely my fault. I'm over 7 months pregnant and only notice a comfortable place to sit. He came and aggressively told me I was not welcomed in the cafe, pointed to the sign and tapped it several times very hard. I just stared at him...normally I would let it go, but he was loud caused a scene and his approach was so hateful. As I walked out I laughed and told him I gave up being mean to people that were mean to me for Lent. He chased after me in the hallway asking what I said. I repeated it, and he tapped me aggressively and firmly on my right shoulder. I told him not to touch me and that his actions were assault. He then said he guesses he is a racist too. I was confused because I'm a white female. I told him I never called him a racist and was confused by his statement. I noticed his cross necklace and told him he probably didn't need to be wearing that cross and asked if he knew what it meant. He walked off and waved me on telling me to "get outta her!" Yes, I said her. What a terrible experience over a seat. This man is just another example of a misguided and probably mentally ill person showing an ugly side of humanity. Poor old man, I hope he gets help for his anger issues. read more

Worst TSA experience. I fly thru Fort Smith a lot and it's consistently THE WORST screening experience of any airport. They are EXTREMELY SLOW unlike any airport I've ever been to. God forbid you have a yogurt in your bag, they will surely find it. Today I waited at least 10 minutes with just 1 person in front of me. They had 1 person doing the bag screening and policing the metal detector although several other screeners were there. I received a VERY personal UNCOMFORTABLE "pat down" (from a female employee) that covered ALMOST ALL of my lower half. Is this necessary? I avoid this airport if I can because of the TSA experience. read more
