The station has plenty of pumps, but is somewhat difficult to exit as it is in a curve in the roadway. OK. I could do like a lot of elites and just make that the end of my review. But I like to read my own words so I will expound a bit before clicking that little red post button at the bottom right of this page. I ended up at this station as a result of my failure to plan. I knew I was driving around to explore and should have fueled up earlier, but I got sidetracked finding a cemetery. After that detour I realized I was getting into low fuel territory. My Jeep keeps me apprised of how many miles I have till empty, but as I quickly learned, at some point it just says low fuel. This warning came on right as I was about to turn in to the state park so I knew I had better find a station quickly. Market Max was the closest place, but at around six miles away, I was a wee bit afraid I would learn how hard it is to push a Jeep in Louisiana hill country. Luckily for me, six miles is within low fuel warning range and I quickly filled up. This station is obviously very popular since it is one of the few places in the area. That meant a unique cross section of humanity was fueling at the same time as me. I saw bikers, cowboys, hippies, rednecks, old folks and one giant lummox. The cool thing was that despite all of the unique people, not once did I feel out of place. In summary, if you're around Franklinton and need gas, stop here.

Went there this past weekend with my family... we had 7 adults and 3 toddlers with us. The guy who…read morewaited on us at the counter was rude and looked annoyed that we were there to begin with. We sat down inside to eat after ordering and receiving our food....of corse the toddlers get sticky and messy with the donut icing so my sister asks if there was somewhere she could take the kids to wash their hands... she was told no! They did not have a restroom, Which was no problem because they sold bottle waters and we were going to wet some napkins and clean our hands and the kids hands. My sister grabs a bottled water from the self serve water cooler and was walking back to our table and the guy working the counter starts yelling at her that she needed to pay for the water and she was stealing the water and she needed to pay; which she was planning to do so once her hands were clean and she could reach into her pocket to get the money out to pay. The guy was really rude and kept yelling that she was stealing and needed to pay for the bottled water. So my sister said never mind, she didn't want it because he was being rude and was accusing her of trying to steal something she wasn't. My sister was standing about 2 feet from the counter and tossed the bottle of water onto the counter and it rolled off onto the floor on the other side of the counter. The female employee came out from the back and picked up the bottle of water and threw it at the 3 kids and almost hit my 2 year old grand daughter. I left a review on their social media account and they responded by saying that the bottle of water did not hit the child and that the security video shows that she did not hit the child and admitted to throwing the bottled water at the kids and saying its ok because she didnt hit the child and she has video proof she didn't hit the child. Which was her admitting a second time to throwing the bottled water at the kids. When i asked her to post the video so all her other customers could see her throwing the bottle at the toddlers, they deleted my review and blocked me from their site. Everyone needs to know that these people who run this place thinks its ok to throw full, unopened bottles of water at 2-4 year old children. Then think they did no wrong because they didn't hit the child with the bottle. All happened because they didn't give my sister a chance to clean her hands to dig the money out of her pocket to pay for a bottle of water. Instead they kept yelling that she was stealing and needed to pay.... how can you have an eating establishment that allows customers to go inside and sit down to eat but not have a restroom or a place to wash your hands... especially while serving sticky messy donuts??!! At least supply wet wipes or something!!!
