RUDE, RUDE, RUDE !!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!! I called this company looking for Fortis Riders and this was a wrong number because it is a different Fortis. So, I called thinking it was the right number and the guy IMMEDIATELY started yelling at me as soon as he realized I called the wrong Fortis. Like.. out the box SCREAMING to the point the reception was distorted on my end. I am not being over the top when I say the quality of the call was cracking because he was SCREAMING into the phone. I asked if I could confirm for *insert name* and he was all *WE DO NOT HAVE THAT PERSON HERE! NO!!! NO!!! WE DO NOT HAVE THAT!!! YOU ARE WRONG! NO YOU ARE WRONG!!! WE ARE FORTIS!!!* He did not say *this is the wrong number* or *this is Fortis Limo.. He was straight up pissed that I called. He would not stop yelling, and he started yelling so fast into the call, I did not know if it was the wrong number or not. I asked if it was Fortis, and he kept yelling...I did not get what was happening. I finally asked him to calm down and made sure this was not the company I was looking for. All in all - I do not know what the owner's problem is, but if he cannot answer the phone without screaming, I would hate to work with him if I actually HAD a problem with his service. That was very poor form.. Very bad stuff.. I am writing this as a warning DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! Not even if you are desperate... just catch a cab, I am sure they will be more willing to work with you. Seriously, avoid calling this place on accident! This company does not know the definition of customer service. I needed to plan to have a client picked up from Newark Airport. I was informed that they do not take reservations except from the person being picked up, which is interesting since in corporate america is where the biggest accounts lie. When I went to inquire further to find a possible solution to this problem I was hung up on. I would never refer such a terrible service to anyone. Just because a link comes at the top of a google page does not mean the company is any good. I recommend don't support a company that encourages such embarrassing behavior from their staff. read more

Made the reservation 15 days before my international trip. They acknowledged but said wait for the confirmation. Fair enough. Then they did nothing for 13 days and 2 days before my trip, less than 48 hours actually, they rejected the reservation because the pickup locations were outside their area. It took them 13 days to figure that out. read more

WRETCHED CUSTOMER SERVICE This company doesn't even deserve a single star. I have never been treated so horribly and disrespectfully. It is as if the worker who answered the phone was intentionally trying to bankrupt the company by driving potential clients away. I simply called to make a reservation for an event and the man who answered told me to call a taxi and hung up on me. When I called back and asked to speak to the manager, he literally screamed at me and used profanities. I am so glad I called in to make a reservation in lieu of using the online reservation service. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I arranged a pick-up at LGA with Fortis and was literally scolded by the driver when I failed to answer my cell phone while he waited for 5 minutes (15 minutes is included in rate). No exaggeration, 5 minutes. Anyway, I let it go as he is entitled to a bit of road rage (probably is a workplace hazard) and it was an uneventful ride to my home in northern NJ. (Excuse me, limo driver I was distracted by the cool luggage carousel design, its the accordion effect when it goes around corners that gets me). Upon arrival at my destination, I was provided a credit card receipt to sign with only a single grand total at the bottom ($153) and I foolishly added a gratuity. After settling at home, I check email to learn that their standard charge includes a trip charge ($95) + tolls ($28) + fuel surcharge ($5.75) + tax ($7) + gratuity ($19). I phoned to request a refund of my additional 20% ($30) and at first, they refused. I told him, seriously, my mistake, but don't force me to dispute the entire amount. Here's where it gets weird, the dispatcher then requested I phone the driver to explain. What? I refused and found it unbelievable that I had to work so hard to get my $30 mistake reversed. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. This company obviously has no customer service skills. Between the (1) "why don't you answer your cell phone" to the (2) "call my driver and explain why you are taking his tip from him", I cant help but tell you that travel home from the airport shouldn't be this difficult. read more

We have used this service before and haven't had issues...until today. When we asked about a price we were quoted, only because it seemed high compared to normal fares we were told "find someone else this isn't a taxi service." The person in the phone continued to be rude so I asked to speak to the owner. The rep then said to me "fu** you. You understand me" and continued with these derogatory remarks. We were able to find a service for half the price, and I'm sure a male won't speak to a female with such vulgar derogatory remarks. AVOID THIS SERVICE AT ALL COST. In a customer service industry it's insane to think that someone would treat a potential client that way, and on a person to person level it was just disgusting behavior. read more

Driver late, did not help with bags, complained to dispatcher about number of bags, although I was clear when I made reservation about the 4 bags for 2 passengers, missed turn to airport. Took longer route. Arrived just with enough time to check in for an international flight! I handed my credit card for him to take an imprint and he proceeded to make a phone call. I told him I had already given my card number online and on the phone and I needed to check in for my flight, he ran into the airport screaming police! POLICE! STAY AWAY! read more

Can I give them a negative 5 Star???? I only gave them 1 because I am forced to. Worst limo service in the world. My flight was delayed so I called to change my pick up time. The dispatcher cursed me off and told me he was going to drive to my house and kill me. He told me to watch my back as he knew where I lived. They were late numerous times and were hard to work with. For what it is worth, the drivers were always good guys and helpful. The management was horrible. These guys are a disaster. NEVER USE THEM. HORRIBLE read more

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I was quoted $108 from JFK to Lincoln Park NJ. When I received the bill on my credit card, it was mysteriously $142. Besides the driver being unfriendly, I was ripped off. When I called customer service and explained that I have used them in the past and nothing like this has ever happened, they did not do anything for me. Called an booked a car for a recent business trip. Driver got to my house, was early but never let me know he was there. Also didn't help me with bags until I about almost put in the trunk myself. Driver never even said hello to me, didn't open door, the town car was old and beat up and reeked of smoke. Now I am not saying it was dirty due to weather I can understand that, but this was more it was just dirty inside the car, the window had ash stains on it, the seats were just old and ratty looking, the door handles were dirty. I am not a prissy girl but the state that this car was in, actually made me uncomfortable to be in it. For the money i was paying this was a very big let down, i paid car service money to had essentially a run of the mill taxi pick me up. Well actually the taxi services I have used before have been in better shape then this car. I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you are looking for a good car service I found another one that has comparable prices, nice friendly drivers, top notch service as well as a really nice fleet of cars. read more

I only use Fortis! Amazing service. Easy to book and a confirmation is sent immediately. They follow the flight for any delays. The entire transaction with tip included requires no cash at the time of pick up. The cars are new and the drivers are polite and professional. We loved our Driver, Hicri! He arrived 10 minutes before his scheduled pick-time for us. He drove us from North Jersey to the Frick Collection in New York City. He kept an eye on traffic routes to ensure a "quicker" ride. We literally had door to door service. Our SUV was clean and comfortable and the ride was extremely affordable , especially for a Saturday night. read more
