I had to make a very short trip to New York and back. I engaged a travel agent for the flight, hotel and ground transportation. The ground transportation was completely unreliable and I waited for an hour before they showed up only to be told that they have a few more stops along the way. I gave them boot and told them I would find my own way to the hotel. There I was feeling stranded, frantically calling other transportation companies to try and get a ride into Midtown Manhattan. Most of them said that they only go by reservations and a couple of them seemed like they were answered by someone who was coming out of a stupor or some kind...yikes!! Then I called Ride In Style and explained my situation. I was talking to Preet and he assured me he could have a car to pick me up soon. I thought it might be a bit of a wait since I just called and I was bowled over when the car was already there in less than five minutes!!! I had barely exited the airport and the chauffeur was already there. That is what I call SERVICE. Of course a private car service costs more than a shuttle service but the headache and stress avoided is well worth the cost, especially when you are in an unfamiliar place. On my return back to JFK, I didn't even bother trying to find another means of transportation. I just texted Preet and told what I needed and the car was there, early even. The driver waited until I checked out and we were on the way to the airport in plenty of time for the check in. Forget the Ubers and Lyfts and especially the useless shuttle services...this is a much better option. It is only slightly more expensive than what you would pay for an Uber but you get comfort, style and a driver who knows his/her way around. I inquired about transportation from JFK to my Midtown hotel through Yelp. I received several quotes. I was impressed with Preet's prompt and thorough communication. He was readily available by text, which was really convenient during travel. Sonu was the driver assigned to me. He arrived to the airport close to an hour early and monitored the status of my flight. When I landed, he sent me a photo of the car, license plate included, and described where he would be waiting. He is unfailingly polite and courteous, and an excellent, safe driver. Preet followed up 2 days later with an invoice by email; no money was exchanged before, during, or even immediately after the ride. The price was exactly as agreed, and I was able to pay it by phone using credit card, Apple Pay, or GPay. I was so impressed with this company's service, I have reserved another ride for tomorrow. I'd like to also add that I have a service dog and have frequently been denied rides with other companies. This company accepted my guide dog without question or comment.
