I could not possibly recommend a dentist any higher. The wonderful people at Fortress Dental saved me from such agonizing, excruciating pain.. I've had a broken tooth with the root exposed and a slight infection that's been causing me serious, serious pain for the past few months. I had been trying to hold out until my new insurance kicks in in February to have it dealt with, but late last night (December 23rd), I was hit with such immense, constant pain that I had to be rushed to the ER because of this nerve. My vitals had skyrocketed and I was trembling uncontrollably. The pain lasted for hours and the ER gave me injections into my mouth to try and temporarily deaden the nerve. They said it should last 8-12 hours, and in the meantime, I had to try to do everything in my power to find a dentist that would do an emergency extraction on Christmas Eve. I was up first thing in the morning, calling literally every dentist in Middle Tennessee.. Only to have every single one closed, and not only that, but for 4-5 more days. I was distraught and terrified to have that pain return and there be nothing I could do about it except lay in the ER in agony. After hours of searching, I found Fortress Dental and gave them a call. To my surprise, someone picked up and I asked if they were open to do an emergency procedure. The woman on the other end seemed hesitant and said not really, but asked what was going on. When I explained the situation, she told me to hold on while she asked. When she returned to the line, she informed me that if I came ASAP, they could get me in to at least examine it and potentially be able to remove it today depending on how difficult of a procedure it would be. This was the best shot I had and my only option, so I left immediately. When I got there and filled out the paperwork, they got me right in. After examining the tooth (which only cost $50 including the xrays), the told me that they would be able to remove it for me today. I had asked if that included anesthesia (because I have very, very bad medical/dental anxiety and have never had a tooth removed before and would need to be put under for it), and they said they didn't do anesthesia there and they could refer me out if I needed that. Since waiting even another hour more wasn't an option, I had to reluctantly agree to having the tooth removed under nitro. I was terrified and trembling, but they were the most comforting, gentle, calming, and encouraging people throughout the entire process. They helped keep me calm, they played relaxing music for me, they talked me through it the whole time, gave me stress balls to hold, covered me in a blanket, etc. They were comforting and encouraging of everything I was doing right and the entire procedure was a lot easier for me (both mentally and physically) than I could have ever hoped for. I cannot stress enough how absolutely incredible the associates here are and how beyond grateful I am for them. I cried tears of joy and relief when it was over because I would never have to go through that pain/fear of that pain again and thanked them all profusely. To everyone at Fortress Dental who helped me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Truly. I can't tell you how much pain and suffering you saved me from for who knows how many days. You are all a blessing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for being open and thank you for taking me in at the last minute, right before you were supposed to close. If you love yourself don't come here . My experience here was not good. I love going to The dentist and the quality of the work here is shit! I got a new crown put on and for over 3 months i was in so much pain. The temp crown was so wrong. I had a lisp. And they had to fix it. Was in so much pain. And finally when i got the crown it still didn't seem right. The crown was huge ! And bulky! And went in 4 separate occasions to have them try and fix it. I could not bite on the side . I explained each time how much pain i was in. There response to me was "honey just take more ibuprofen " like really? I've been callling and coming in telling you something isn't right and you keep filing it down and telling me take more ibuprofen? After my 4th visit i felt defeated. I couldn't live anymore with the pain and i felt they didn't want to help me. They said everything looked fine . And if still complained of pain maybe i needed a root canel. They told me this while i Walked out and decided to turn around and ask one more time for help. That was her response so i left and went to a different dentist. Once they got x-rays she's was able to tell me right away my crown was big and hitting the root of my nerve. I couldn't understand why fortresses dental couldn't figure it out or didn't want to fix it. Long story short i got a root canel so my money wouldn't be wasted on the crown. NOW not Even a year later.... i woke up with a swollen face and pain in that tooth. Had to get a new crown and another root canel on the same tooth. When my root canel was performed they asked why did i have one in the first place it didn't make sense it looked healthy. I had to explain what happened. But my new crown now is beautiful! And small and fits perfect! My gums look normal again and not lumpy! But I'm so mad cause i feel all of this could have been prevented if they did my crown right and listened to me when i told them something was wrong. I feel i shouldn't have had to replace this crown not even a year later like wtf bullshit is that ? And they way they handled my situation. I thought i was never going to have a normal mouth again. Eat and drink normal again. I couldn't look at other people when they smiled or talked thinking how lucky are they to be normal and eat and talk like normal and not be in pain. So if you love yourself don't come here. If you don't want to screw your self financially don't come here. They lack experience here and good quality of work. Fuck this place . read more

This was the most pleasant experience I have had a the dentist. The office is state of the art and staff members are extrmely nice and really know what they are doing. They answered all of my questions and went over board on making me feel comfortable during my procedures (scaling and teeth cleaning) plus I had 7 fillings done at one sitting. I felt no pain whatsover from the local antistesia shots to the drilling. In the past I have always had to have the dentist stop and administer more novacane for pain and sensitivity. I was always anxious in the past but this exerience gives me a whole knew outlook on visiting the dentist. Great Job Fotress Dental. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more
