I usually order order online for post workout dinner at home. Rarely is my order ready by the stated time on the receipt. I think most orders are placed online since the counter is always stacked with takeout bags. Dining room isn't busy (in the late afternoon/early evening.) If you are reading this review then you're likely new to Mendo. Good food takes time. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Seasonal items are always worth a try. We had a very large group of about 14-15 women, and I was so impressed with the service. The staff was attentive, organized, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Even better, they didn't automatically add gratuity for a large party, which made us want to tip them even more because the service truly earned it. Our table ordered what felt like every appetizer on the menu, and every single one was delicious. The cocktails were just as impressive. The Midnight Margarita, topped with a beautiful orchid, was as gorgeous as it was delicious, and the Aperol Sunset Spritz was the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the sun go down over the lake. From the food and drinks to the incredible staff and breathtaking setting, everything exceeded our expectations. We did lock eyes a few times with servers to make ourselves look like we needed help. It was one thing after the other like stacking dishes to be cleared off; requesting for more plates/napkins/water... Despite that, the salad was lovely. The pasta bucatini is tasty and fresh and the drinks (4 cocktails and waters) were easy on our eyes. We moved to the bar to sit a while longer and enjoy another drink. The bar is no different than the dining room service and I know that is something the restaurant should be mindful of. (Slow and not really scoping out what should be taken care of ie/ customers without drinks and or place settings for appetizers.) My food didn't take long to come out, and it was DELICIOUS. This was my first time trying this dish so I didn't know what to expect but it was everything and more. It was topped with what I think was fried onion and chili crisp as well for some added spice. The tea was also so delicious, the crushed ice they use is my favorite. The tea was garnished with an orange slice and my toddler decided to much on it. She ordered a half sandwich and salad combo and I ordered a half of turkey sandwich with clam chowder combo. I paired my meal with a dirty Dr. Pepper that I made there and my mom got a coke.
