We tried this spot because it's right near my son's baseball field, which honestly is the perfect reason to discover a new place. The online menu is easy to navigate, which I appreciated. They had run out of sourdough the day we went, so we ended up on alternative bread , the sandwiches were still good, but at $16-$18 each, I found myself comparing it to my usual Board & Brew, which is a little easier on the wallet. Three of us ( Juan is a child )spent over $40, and I'm still on the fence about the value. That said, I totally get that food costs are rising and this is a local spot right off the 78 by Smart & Final , super convenient, and supporting local always feels good. Worth giving a try and forming your own opinion.

I mean five stars alone for the amount of meat that they give you in a sandwich it seems criminal they give you so much that it's the size of my face. What I love about this deli is that it seems very Mom and pop run and you can get the variety of sandwiches that you adore which is your BLT or your avocado, turkey and ham but they have unique twist like their homemade meatballs, which one of my coworkers got, and we loved the combination the different options that they gave I would explore your bed and get chips and add pickles and add different toppings but overall, if you wanna try their main types of food, which is the meatball or the Italian then I would say go for it. We got this food to go, so it was not really a sit down and eat a bunch of food experience. And yet the flavors were all there again the mountain of a sandwich that you get is worth the price of admission.

Hi I been here twice and it's becoming my favorite deli. I had the Magic Mike sandwich. It comes with turkey and ham and many fresh ingredients. A very tasty sandwich. I also had their meat ball sandwich. I love that they give you extra marinara meat sauce to dip your sandwich. It's a nice touch. I highly recommend the meatball sandwich.

I placed my order on the Door Dash App Website today. I am currently a Dash Pass Member. Since I signed up for their one year program. It's only $5.00 for the Dash Pass Membership on s monthly basis for a one year membership. My order is as follows: one Turkey Club Sandwich on Squaw Bread with generous slices of delicious Turkey Meat with ( Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Pickles, Cucumbers, and mayonnaise ). The price is $14.50. I added the extra cucumbers was 50 cents extra charge, extra cheddar cheese $1.00 charge, Then the one Potato Salad with dill pickles. The price is $7.00. Doritos Chips $2.50. The Sprite can of soda was $3.00. My total bill includes the drivers tip was $32.00. Everything I had eaten was very healthy and delicious!

Excellent! Best sandwich I have had in a long time. The service was super good and nice. I got it to go so I could head back to work but the space is clean inside. I will be coming back all the time when I want something fresh to eat.

We were up in the Vista area, and I was hungry so I decided to look for a good deli. Good Belly Deli had good reviews so so we thought we'd try it out. Plus they had squaw bread which is a sign of a good deli to me. Boy, are we glad we chose this place. I ordered the Turkey Avocado and Bacon on squaw, with cheddar cheese, and no lettuce. He got an Italian on a roll. Both were delicious. I would definitely drive out of the way to come to this place. The service is great and the people are super friendly. The meatball sub is probably their best sandwich, but unfortunately they ran out of meatballs yesterday. So next time we come, we'll definitely try that.

I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.

Really? Or even more depending where you go. Frankly I don't know how anyone can afford it any longer but that's a different story. The new owners still don't even seem to know what they are doing after I would say 3yrs now, maybe even more since taking over this place. I used to love going here, now I go maybe once every 3 months if even that and I know why. The service is not the same, the owners are clueless and the food doesn't taste the same at all. The atmosphere of feeling like you are at home when most everyone but mostly the owner remembered you, would come talk to you, helped you and knew what she was taking about, is all gone. I was there yesterday for one of my favorite sandwiches, meatball sandwich. I like that the meatballs are small, not a size of a baseball or even larger, just perfect size, tasty etc. I go up to the register and instead of his clueless wife when you ask her a question and she looks at you as if you're from another planet then has to go and ask one of her employees which that in itself looks totally bad, this time was her husband who looks to me for now the 4th time through the year I visited, that should just stick to staying in the gym since he looks like someone that takes care of himself that way, quite fit, and although nothing at all with that, perhaps leave the deli part of it to someone else and go back to working out instead, it seems his forte. When I told him the sandwich I wanted, he clearly said to me "what would you like with the sandwich" a question I was never asked before because it simply came with a small bag of chips or pasta salad, so I asked what did the sandwich come with, "it comes" the word that he used "it comes with", not "extra charge" and he mentioned French fries, bag of chips while he pointed where the chips were, pasta salad. I said, "I'll try the French fries". Not ONE TIME he said to me that none of the items he mentioned to me were extra charge, I even told him, "oh they come with all that you just told me"? He said yes. When I paid the total came to $24 dollars, the sandwich itself was $13.65 and a coke that I ordered was $3, how did it get to $24? Well, the French fries were extra cost. Had I chosen a bag of chips, the once he pointed at were also extra charge just like if I ordered pasta salad, I found out about the extra charge from the lady that brought me the sandwich and I asked why my bill was $24 dollars, SHE, not the owner told me about the extra charges. After I said to her, "why didn't or doesn't the owner tell you so instead of saying that these extras come with the sandwich" she looked at me and said "I don't know". She didn't even know however any of the prices of the sandwich they sell. These are the new employees now. I know you are going to think why I didn't ask right away why my bill was $24 dollars. I didn't even think about it immediately, I was hungry at this point, the place was quite busy and I wanted to find a place to sit, no excuse, but didn't think about it right away. Not until I set down and then started thinking about why my bill was higher. That was my fault. I should have immediately asked and actually I should have gone to the owner afterwards and mentioned to him that he should tell the customers correctly, meaning do NOT SAY "IT COMES WITH" that means IS NOT EXTRA CHARGE. He needs to say that wherever we want with it, there is an extra, then up to the customer if he/she wants it or not. The sandwich did not taste like the way it used to taste, meatballs still small but they were very salty, and the fries although I will say cooked pretty nice, crispy and all, a very small portion and also very salty. Overall and sadly for me because I truly liked this place a lot with the previous owner, it's not a place I would go back to. The prices are as high and now higher than any other place nowadays, nothing spectacular, their bakery department is now very limited, used to be huge and very nice selections, they used to have a pastry chef in the back that made the best deserts, and I don't know if they also changed cook, but nothing tastes the same. The place is always very busy, so I am sure I won't be missed, I won't waste my money here again. The new owners should by now know what they sell, know how to interact with customers better, know the job they took over. The owners before were absolutely wonderful and great to talk to, they would interact with you ask you if everything was ok, great service from the staff. I miss them and the new owners really need to step up, it's time. The place also very dirty on floors, tables, trash cans totally disgusting and filthy.

To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream.
