I visited La Place today around 1:30pm. Parking is plentiful! There is a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. The owner and worker are very kind and helpful! Today they had a World Cup game playing on the TV, which was a fun vibe. Their menu has evolved since my last visit! Today I ordered the La Club. The sandwich was delicious as usual! I customized my La Club to have no tomatoes and for extra onions. The owner was happy to accommodate my request. The sandwich came with a small mac salad that tasted great today. I always like an independent deli tucked away. These are the gems I look for and this one was good. Clean inside, although a little generic. No fun decor or character. I got great roast beef sandwich with premium ingredients and better than average portions. I didn't expect or choose a side, so I was happy to find macaroni salad packed in my bag... until I tried it. The macaroni salad was awful. There are tables outside so there is a decent place to eat. This place is one of many cafes near my work and I only heard good things so I decided to check it out. I called them to order my lunch thinking it would take a while for them to get it ready and it was already done by the time I walked over. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, I am pretty picky about my teriyaki, and it was very tasty. They also gave me a small side of Mac salad and I need a jar of that stuff it was so tasty! I went back on a rainy day and got their soup of the day and a sandwich. The soup was their chicken poblano and it was wonderful especially in the cold day. Full disclosure: I'm obsessed. Charlie, the owner, is a kind and welcoming person with a unique knack for remembering the names of his regular patrons. Oh the food...very fresh ingredients, generous portions, and priced right to eat here multiple times a week without hurting your wallet. My absolute favorite sandwich is the BLT with avocado, and they do not skimp on the avo. They are freshly sliced pieces evenly distributed. The lettuce is cold and I like the thinly sliced sourdough; perfectly toasted. The quality is consistent. Sandwiches come with a side of macaroni salad. They have some specialties like Asian-style bowls, daily soups, and others that I'm sure are amazing. Oh and several breakfast items. I've heard many patrons order these items and I'm inspired to try them but am so loyal to the BLTA that it's hard to stray. Note: they also have for purchase a variety of snacks like chips, huge muffins, candies, gum, and a large variety of beverages. Deli is small but seating is plentiful even during lunch rush; many people order ahead and take their food to go. AC is always refreshing and tables clean. This is the BEST breakfast spot. The owner is such a nice guy- he will remember your name, your order "the usual?", as well as chat with you and ask how youre doing. The food is not anything complicated- standard american breakfast fare, but they dont skimp at all on the portion sizes, or on the ingredients. You probably won't see this place unless you know exactly what to look for. I just happened to see it because i saw the word "DELI" on a black window with white font. So me and a few co-workers decided to stop in and try it out. I do have to say that the food there is pretty good. I just had a tuna salad, but everything tasted fresh. And the tuna was tasty as well. The place itself is really small. They only have table with about 6 seats, so you're probably gonna want to get your food to go. The operator is pretty cool.
