I have such mix feelings about All Smiles…read more First of all, I love the dentist. Dr. Furman is awesome... makes me feel comfortable and seems well trained as a dentist. I always try to support women owned business, and I looked pretty hard to find a dentist when I moved. Dr. Furman is kinda the only reason why anyone should consider coming to this practice. The front desk ladies greet you when you walk in, but it always feels forced. They are quite catty - have been overheard being judgy about patients both in English and in Russian and they don't seem to care who hears it. I've seen them roll their eyes and take on quite dismissive tones when a patient ask questions, which makes me very careful about how (or whether) I approach them. The first hygienist was super abrasive both in words and in her use of force. The second hygienist felt like she barely did anything in what should have been a deep cleaning. It was just unpleasant enough that I didn't immediately leave the practice, but after a few visits I decided that I rather drive 45 minutes back to my old hygienist at Complete Dentistry. I probably would not recommend, but if you're from an eastern block country, they would probably be quite lovely to you.

As I've had many many bad experiences at the dental office, I started using Dr. Barry and his staff because I really needed gas during my cleanings to relax. I also have very sensitive gums. There were always very accommodating and said that they wanted their customers to be comfortable and that they would provide it complementary. About six months ago when I came in, without notice, they told me that it was no longer complementary. They were able to provide it for that appointment but told me I needed to talk to Dr. Barry about future appointments. When I spoke to him, he told me it was because a lot of people "come in to just get high". I was shocked. I looked at him and said do I look like that kind of a person? You know about my Dental anxiety. After the appointment the agreement was he would provide it one more time and then we would discuss further. On my next appointment, they started the nitrous as usual, but when she started to clean my teeth, it was apparent that the nitrous wasn't working and I asked her to turn it up. She said she couldn't turn it up any further that it was the highest it could be. When I asked her just to give me a couple more minutes to breathe it in and get relaxed, she gave me about 30 seconds and then said " i'm being told I have to get started now". What? It was ridiculous. You can't even give me two minutes to be able to get relaxed in your dental office. When I was making my next appointment I told her that I wasn't comfortable with the way she talked to me and that I wouldn't be back. Then I receive a letter in the mail saying that they were unable to maintain their standards so I was no longer welcome there. I have very good insurance and I was a good patient. But there are many dental offices and so I'm happy to move closer to home. Just beware.

I had a pretty decent experience before I moved so I was worried about finding someone who could match that. When I had called to inquire about services and such they were friendly, but hey they're always friendly on the phone right? So when I had my appointment and arrived I soon learned I was wrong. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The office was very modern and by that I didn't mean the decor. Yes the decor was nice however I meant technology wise. Everything seemed to flow nicely from appointment bookings to getting x-rays, where it looked liked all my records were stored nicely. Ok, so if we're being honest and although everything was outstanding; my only gripe about this place is that sometimes its hard getting the appointment slot I want as they seem to be high in demand! Updated: For those of you who are worried about heavy handedness or getting numbed I can attest that this was my best experience in that regard. I still cringe when I get fillings because of the prick of the needle but when I came here it wasn't bad compared to my past experiences. When I've had cleanings they were thorough without being heavy handed.

I'm over the moon for Dr. LaMarche and can't say enough good things about him AND his staff. This is coming from a dental patient that has broken the arms off of the dental chair in the past! The list is long but the top 5 reasons my Family and I love Dr. LaMarche are: 1. He is the most caring healthcare professional I have ever been blessed with in my lifetime. He has taken time on his days off to meet us at his office to adjust my Daughter's retainer and he's even called us later at night to check on us when we've had something painful done. 2. He's like the cool Uncle you never had! He's so personable and he as well as his staff will treat you like you were family and always makes my kids comfortable which is a deal breaker for me! 3. He takes the time to explain in great detail both visibly and verbally what he's going to do before he does it. There's never a question as to what will be done and how it will feel. 4. His office is aesthetically pleasing and he has a Keurig with awesome tea and Godiva chocolates on the counter. This too is a deal breaker for me. lol 5. He's very accommodating. He will do everything in his power to make sure the patient has what they need for comfort including a warm blanket, knee roll, glasses, headphones with your choice of music from Pandora and as much gas as you need. Another deal breaker for me. There are many more reasons that Dr. LaMarche is by far the best Dentist on the planet but anyone will know that after their first appointment. :) read more

I've never before posted a Yelp review, but the extraordinary high quality dental restoration that corrected a tooth emergency kept me on the job. My beautifully restored chipped front tooth compels me to praise the work of DDS Michael LaMarche. Let me explain. In my online profession, the appearance of my face on screen is vital. I must look good to clients and suppliers. After biting into a fork on Saturday, Dr LaMarche responded to my panicked call and allowed me to come in on Sunday. Dr. LaMarche's skillful work required less than half an hour and my tooth came out looking so good, saying I'm impressed is an understatement. Dr. LaMarche and his hygienist, Lena, are bastions of what dentistry should be. In addition to a high level of competence, their bedside manner is impeccable. "It's the little things that count" is a good way to describe my experience. They put a pillow under my legs, made sure I was comfy, and offered to explain every step of the procedure as they worked together. They were constantly aware and anticipated any discomfort. Dr. LaMarche is the real deal. Seriously, if you're afraid of going to the dentist, embarrassed about your oral health, or have been looking around for a quality dentist, look no further. read more

I recently moved back to the area and needed a new dentist since my previous one retired. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. LaMarche and I couldn't be more thankful- it was the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. Dr. LaMarche thoroughly explained my procedure, making sure I understood what it entailed, and took the time to answer my questions. It was interactive, which was nice because I like to know what's going on. Everything went really smoothly and I didn't experience any pain or discomfort like I had been anticipating. Once it was finished, he stayed to discuss what he saw and did, and informed me about follow-up home care. Before I left, the receptionist was also very helpful in explaining all the insurance matters and made sure I knew that I could call if I had any more questions. I have since returned to get my teeth cleaned, and that too was a great experience. Lena, the hygienist, was very personable and fun, and did a great job. If you need a new dentist like I did, or if you're considering a switch and want a dentist who is caring and does incredibly good work, I highly recommend Dr. LaMarche. read more

I recently visited Dr. Lamarches' office after searching yelp for a reputable dentist. I had been missing a partial implant in the farthest upper back part of my mouth for 4 years and the pain had become unbearable. Previously, I had been to a dental office that could not get it right, and after the crown popping out twice I said no more. I do not have insurance so dental visits are not regular for me. I was apprehensive to say the least but I NEEDED to get it fixed so I went in for an exam an was treated so well I was a bit blown away. The fees and treatment plan were discussed thoroughly with me and ALL of my concerns were heard, not just the problem tooth. I had the problem tooth fixed a couple of days ago and I swear I didn't feel a thing besides a bit of lock jaw (it was really far back there). They were done before I knew it. Even more, the following night I was at the gym and Dr. Lamarche called to make sure I wasn't feeling any discomfort or experiencing problems. I am ROCKIN' my new smile!! I can't say enough about how positive my experiences have been with Dr. LaMarche and his staff. I knew that I needed some dental work done but was putting it off because I was expecting multiple visits and, to be honest, was very anxious. I was in and out in no time at all and with zero pain and a smile that I keep showing off everywhere I go! I'm also getting married in a few months and was hoping for a perfect smile for the event. So, at my appointment, I asked Dr. LaMarche about some cosmetic work to close two sizable gaps in my front teeth expecting to learn that it was a lengthy procedure for which I'd have to schedule another appointment. I have had several different dentists growing up and as a young adult, but Dr. LaMarche far outshines them all. Everyone, the receptionist, Toula, hygienist, Lena, and Dr. LaMarche were exceedingly friendly and understanding of my two young boys. My whole family felt at home in their office. This was our first visit to the dentist since we moved to the area, and the first one ever for my three-year-old son. They instantly put us at ease. Dr. LaMarche is the most open and willing to spend time educating you, health care professional I have had the pleasure of working with. Two days after our appointment he sent a full description of each of us, our teethe, ex-rays, pictures, and upcoming treatment plans by email. Dr. LaMarche was my dentist from year 2000 at the Lake Stevens location until 2006 when he took time off from dental practise. I then went to see other dentist for my needs. Boy ! did I miss his professional care that I did not really appreciate it until he was not around ? I truely missed his care and I missed his willingness to always take the time to explain to me my dental health issues and my treatment options. Well I'm so happy that Dr. LaMarche is now once again my dentist. I was blown away this morning with the total LaMarche team, but you were outstanding in comparison to others in your field. The professionalism in providing care during procedures, and methods required to maintain my teeth going forward. Few are chosen with the ability to pass on knowledge, as a teacher with patience of speech, and care in all you did in the total process from start to finish. Dr. LaMarche was so thorough and had a plan of care that addressed by needs. His staff is so caring and concerned for your comfort. He looked over my previous dentists plan of care and felt it was excessive and had a much more affordable plan. Lena, my hygenist had great suggestions for better gum health and they were all things that were easy to incorporate into my daily life. I have NEVER left a dental visit looking forward to my next appointment, but Forum Dental has made a very positive spin on knowing that when I express my anxiety, it will be addressed with real care, concern for a better outcome and a small tweak [headphones with the music you request!] to make it more bearable. read more

Unfortunately, my teeth are not very strong so I've seen many Dentists in my life. Dr. Lamarche is by far the best dentist I've ever met. As a patient, I would like to: -know exactly what's the treatment is going to be, -know exactly why I need such treatment, -keep my teeth as much as possible, -avoid expensive treatment if possible. (resin preferred) he knows what patients want, because he's on our side. As other reivewer says, Dr. Lamarche does only what he believes is absolutely necessary. My first appointment with Dr Lamarche was today and I was overwhelming impressed from the moment I entered the office. I was greeted by the receptionist, the assistant and the hygienist all whom were most welcoming and helpful. Dr Lamarche himself not only was welcoming but also informative and actually checked my gums himself. I have never had the dentist so that, it was always the dental assistant. The office is beautiful but it truly is the people who make the office. From the classy black work coats to the pillow under my knees for comfort, this had to be the most comforting dentist appointment I have had and I'm 64! What a team! read more

Full disclosure: I am the doctor's brother. That said, I will continue being truthful here and also disclose that Forum Dental is the best. If they find something that needs fixing, they show you the photo immediately and present recommendations so you can make a an informed choice. On the first visit you get a full digital report of findings including the photos and xray images as needed. All the equipment is truly state-of-the-art, and I have tremendous faith and trust in Dr. LaMarche, assistant and hygienist Lena, and MJ at the front desk. I still have healthy and intact inlay fillings that he put in 37 years ago. read more

I have been to many dentist for fillings and other dental work. And have had some very good and very bad experiences. But I can confidently say that this was the best experience I have ever had. I usually have a lot of pain after getting fillings due to my bite needing adjustment. But they did a fantastic job. Least amount of discomfort I have ever felt. I would highly recommend them. I visited Dr. LaMarche for an dental emergency and was very happy at the experience and out come. I came back to the office for cleaning. I have not had a cleaning in 6 years due to I have extreme tooth sensitivity, TJM and anxiety over the whole process. The staff was extremely accomidating and helpful thru the whole process. After my first visit to Dr. LaMarche, it was clear that they offer a higher quality of patient care than the norm. The doctor clearly had extensive experience with various dental treatments, and was able to identify a potential problem area upon reviewing the x-rays. This office is very friendly and comfortable. A great place for dental care. They adhered to all the requirements for handling patients during the pandemic. I had no health concerns while in the office. This was my first dental office where I experienced getting a crown in a single one hour visit. My prior experience was needing to schedule two visits with prep for the crown in the first visit and installation of the crown a couple of weeks later. That has been a wonderful experience. I have been a patient of Dr. Shumaker's for 15 years or longer.
