"Positively Outstanding!" well describes the entire Forward Moving team. I've moved often, even cross-country, and have never before experienced a better moving company or move crew. Moving out of my townhome required a fast move-out deadline, heavy furniture, ridiculously steep stairs, and loads upon loads of boxes. Sales looked everything over providing an accurate move out and on-site storage estimate. Move day, the four-person crew arrived on time(!), and throughout the day, nothing was out of reach for them -- not even those stairs. Teamwork is clearly not a buzzword for them; it is their practice, mindset, and is demonstrated through their success of the day. They reminded me of a team of chefs in a high-end restaurant -- call outs and check ins and constant positive feedback, even singing (on key!) to keep spirits high. They absolutely made my day. I wound up donating several furniture pieces to Habitat that were included in the original move estimate. Without me saying a word about it, they adjusted and reduced the final bill. I hired Dan based on a recommendation from friends. He provided a quote based on how long he thought the job would take, and also provided a max in case the job ran longer. He was willing to negotiate the max price with me because it was a little too high for my comfort, and he was fairly confident the job wouldn't take that max amount of time, so it worked out for both parties. The job was quick and efficient - they moved my 2 bedroom apartment and 45 boxes into a nearby storage unit in 3 hours. They wrapped all the furniture to protect it, and packed everything tightly into the unit so it would all fit. Dan & his 2 employees were professional and friendly, and paid attention to details, such as wiping their shoes off so they didn't track snow/mud in the house. This is my 2nd experience with hiring movers, and definitely the better of the two as far as professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy. I was most impressed with the team that moved our home for us. The guys worked diligently, wrapping everything, and were careful to protect my furniture. They were a pleasure to work with, professional and efficient. Dan was very flexible with us as we had to change our plans several times and he reassured me that he would take care of us...and he did! Excellent company! They were awesome guys and very courteous. They provided a free estimate and it was spot on. Their rates are more competitive than most and they wrapped and protected all my items and even the floor and carpets. They have their own trucks with lift gates unlike some of the other companies I got a quote from that use rental trucks. They emailed me a COI when I requested proof of insurance within one day. We used Forward Moving to move from our 3 story townhouse to a single family home. So a house full of stuff for 4 people. The crew was on time and worked hard. They wrapped up each item and took care of our stuff during the move. A tv stand was broke during the move, but things happen and within an hour of finishing i received a call from the owners wanting to make it right, and they did. I was hesitant to use this company when they quoted an hourly rate. Felt better when I was told a max charge. The quote was less than half of another local mover. Three young guys showed up early. Wrapped all of furniture to protect it. Worked hard and efficiently. When figuring the bill I expected the time to be rounded to the hour. It was not. I was charged for 3.75hours.
