NO STARS. Unfortunately, the movers blocked my car in having parked the moving truck directly behind my car. I was also not able to use the only elevator at the residence because the moving crew blocked the elevators panel with furniture. I literally had to walk down 8 flights of steps carrying my sick cat in a large carrier due to their lack of concern for others. I had to approach them to move their truck as it was blocking my exit but unfortunately, they would not. I was outraged, wouldn't you be, by the bad behavior and the lack of concern. I needed further assistance and I phoned the leasing office involved. Eventually... the truck was moved but not until it was so late for the vets appointment and then I was turned away because I was to late. No good SOB's. Horrible people. read more

We used Litemovers to move from a 3 bedroom townhouse to a single family home about 2 miles away. We had a few non-standard requests around washer/drier/fridge movements but were otherwise a straightforward move. Boxes were organized by room, labeled with their destination room. The 4 man crew showed up on time, brought an extra box truck and had tools, ladders, blankets and other items on hand to deal with unexpected variables. Big points for being prepared. They worked hard, communicated well, honored all box labels (example: do not stack, this side up), packed and secured content in the truck and asked me good questions. The unpack was similarly professional, including a walk through and offers to rearrange content in rooms. We finished right on the low end of our estimate, though I'd caution to others that we were organized and prepared for them. If you are not organized do not expect the low end of the estimate. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. If I had to summarize I would call them "professionals that care." read more

Worst experience of my life. They scratched virtually every antique we own. Broke lamps. Shattered glass. I thought that was it, but they moved our boxes to storage where they have been for the last year. I don't know what they did to them, but they must have been throwing them around, dropping them, kicking them. Much of our china and glassware is broken. Not just broken like a crack here and there -- but SMASHED to little pieces. We have moved many times and packed them very well with bubble wrap and tons of paper around each plate and platter. My wife is beside herself. Please don't use them. If it hadn't been so long I would report them to the better business bureau. Plus the office manager, I forget her name, is perhaps the rudest, most unhappy person I've ever met. STAY AWAY! read more

We just used Litemovers to move my Mother in to a new townhouse and they did a fantastic job. We met with the owner over Zoom to receive an estimate which we received almost right away. Deposit and contract were easily handled electronically. I received confirmation of the move date and time a few days prior and on the day of the move, the moving team called to let us know they were on their way and arrived 15 mintues ahead of schedule. They were polite, courteous and very speedy! I would absolutely recommend Litemovers and will use them again in the future if I need movers! read more

We were moving from a 1200 sq ft 2 br/2 bath apt on 2nd floor to a condo on 9th floor just a mile away. Everything was already boxed and ready to be moved out. They need to break apart a queen bed and a vanity table however. 3 guys showed up at 9 am. Of course 1 of the 2 elevators broke down so the one working elevator has to be shared with other residents, meaning we don't have a dedicated elevator. However, the stairs are right across from our front door, a mere 6 ft away. And the loading dock is only 20 ft from the stairs. It took them from 9 am to 4 pm to load one truck. Note that our new place is only a mile away. But they wasted half an hour because the people st the office missed one digit of our address. That's not the movers' fault, but shouldn't be ours either. Now I was at the new place the whole time while they were loading over at the old place so I didn't know why it took them 7 hours to load just one truck. But once they got here, I knew. Now I want to make it clear that Eric and the other person did great! They were fast and respectful. However there's this one guy who couldn't move any slower. I'm going to post a video of him moving from the loading dock to the truck, with an empty cart. Seriously, my 70 year old boss moves faster than him. And I caught him loading a cart with just one box at a time a few times. Even my old mother with osteoporosis commented she could move faster than him. When it's gotten late, they sent an extra person to help. The 2nd was great too. I wish he had been there the whole time instead of the slow guy. Tl, dr: it took them 11 hours to load one truck for our 2 br apartment and move it to our new place a mile away on 9th floor. read more

3/17/2017: I had the opportunity to speak with Ed B., the owner, about my experience after he reached out to me. I explained what had happened and he was receptive and interested. He really seemed to want to learn from the experience in order to provide better service in the future. Because of this, I added a second star. You can see this business has otherwise good reviews, so hopefully this was a fluke. So 17 months later, Ed B., the owner, decided to reply to my original review (below). I guess a 2-day, $3k move is too little for Litemovers, even if their Yelp status says "there is no move too small." I have all of my correspondence with them, and while their original estimate was very low, I sent them several others I received to demonstrate it would meet their $1000 minimum estimate threshold. They still would not make the 4 mile, 6 minutes, trip. Look elsewhere. Poor customer service. I contacted Litemovers based on a positive recommendation from a friend. I did not end up using this company for my move because of their terrible customer service and refusal to do an in home estimate. Every other mover I contacted was more than willing to do an in home estimate. I literally live four miles from their office. I was in touch with them several times, and always got the runaround. Because of their poor customer service, I cannot recommend this company. read more

An outstanding company. Ed Bogusz came to our home and provided an estimate. The company works on an hourly basis and the projected cost was based on 5 men and two trucks which I frankly thought was overkill. However, Ed really knows his business because having the 5 men and two trucks made the overall moving operation so efficient. The crew led by crew chief Corey was terrific. The men were polite and knowledgeable. They worked super-well together. They wrapped in blankets any item that might possibly be scratched and this included dismantling our dining and kitchen tables. They had just a short drive to our new home. Before they unpacked we had pizza and drinks ready for them and they were quite appreciative of this. They relocated the furniture in our new home placing each item where we wanted it. Overall they came in about 1.5 hours under Ed's estimate. This is because they wasted no time, that is, there was no hanging around. We appreciated this. A few days after we moved in, we noticed a problem with our Sleep Number type air bed. Ed Bogusz promptly came to our home, diagnosed the problem and is working with the company to obtain parts to fix the problem. The company provided a new pump and Ed came over to install it only to find that a connection device was missing and he took the lead to order it. I'm not sure whether either he or I know for sure that the move caused the problem but he took the initiative to get it fixed and we appreciate this. Contrary to the recent 1 star review, I found Lite Movers business practices to be exceptional. This is a fine, well run organization that does exceptional work in moving. read more

Used LiteMovers today for stage one of downsizing move to a condo with strict rules re hours of operation, staging, etc. a crew of four arrived at 8:30 and went right to Work - very efficiently. The finished move out in less than 90 minutes. Move in took about the same time despite standard sized elevator to third floor. Crew were all very courteous and helpful. All pieces arrived safe and sound. Kudos to the crew! I would definitely use them again. read more

I used Litemovers on three occasions, I recommended them to my parents who used them once, and my in laws who also used them once. I can only speak to my experience with small moves (i.e. 2 bedroom apartment moves) because I have not used them for whole house moves. However, they were the ONLY company with reasonable rates for 'small' moves, which is key for my age group (20s to early 30s). There are no other companies who do as professional of a job for a small move as Litemovers. Also to note, Litemovers did a whole house move for my in-laws. My in-laws are borderline hoarders, and I packed the majority of their belongings. Litemovers was AMAZING for their move; they did not complain or anything when they arrived to find rooms with boxes filled to the CEILING. They were very respectful of their belongings, especially moving obsolete electronics (i.e. non-working/broken televisions etc) that most people would roll their eyes about. I find their customer service to be very professional, courteous, and their bids to be reasonable. Joan, who is the woman I spoke with on all three occasions, is terrific! She is super nice and will go out on a limb to try and help her clients get the scheduling requests in ASAP. The movers themselves on all 3 occasions were very professional, personable, and made the stressful aspects of moving a little more enjoyable. They have showed up on time for all three of my moves, and completed them in a reasonable time frame. I am an art conservator who deals with the packing and transportation of works of art (paintings, objects, furniture, so forth) so I am highly aware of the skill that goes into properly packing and moving furniture. I would recommend Litemovers to pack and transport high end furniture safely and securely. read more

I couldn't say enough about how amazing this company is. I called friday at 4PM frantic about getting a mover for the next day and not only did they come through but they did an amazing job in terrible circumstances (see below). The 2 movers were polite, friendly and just overall the best I could have asked for. I never heard anyone complain, they were focused and diligent and even though there were only 2, were quick and efficient. I was supposed to move Friday from the fourth floor of a building to the first floor but the power went out due to a huge snow storm and then my original movers could not make it due to the storm and road closures. I called LiteMovers based on a friend's recommendation and they worked with me to have 2 people come the very next day (less than 24 hours notice). I woke up on saturday and the building elevators were still not working. These 2 guys moved all my stuff down three flights of stairs. I have moved 6 times in 12 years and this was hands down the BEST MOVERS. read more

I had one good experience with this company and hoped to hire them for two subsequent moves. I will not try a third time. In the first failed attempt, they wanted to take the long way between locations and were heavily padding the estimate. When I complained, they stopped contacting me. In the second failed attempt, I wanted to hire them when they were heavily booked and I got a voice mail from the rep repeatedly screaming that she had " no resources!" My voice mail is not therapy for movers - get a counselor. On the fourth attempt, we had an actual conversation but when I asked for consideration for my schedule, they again stopped contacting me. I wound up with 2 Men and a Truck instead - considerate, easy, reasonable. I don't know how Litemovers is still in business. They are rigid, petulant, and not interested in your business. You don't have time or need to beg them to take your money. Find someone else. read more

Contacted Litemovers after another awful moving company failed to complete their contract. Called on Monday afternoon, needed to move a few items that evening. Was given immediately to Robert, the owner. He was incredibly helpful in working with us to find a feasible solution, explained all of his rates thoroughly and accurately, and even provided his personal cell number in case anything didn't work out. The movers arrived 1 hour after confirming the reservation, were quick, careful, and professional. Robert called again after the move was completed to make sure everything went off without a hitch. After contacting Litemovers, providing the necessary information to obtain a quote, and leaving contact information with the promise that we would hear back within a few days, we never heard back from them. Even worse, when we called them back, they informed us that even though our reservation was on file, our reservation had "fallen through the cracks" and that they would be unable to provide services on the requested date. Recently moved from a one bedroom apartment to a townhouse. It took 2 guys 4 hours to load then unload the truck. They were polite and were very careful with my belongings and newly installed floors. Communication with the company was great. It was easy to schedule the move and received a reminder confirmation via text a few days before the move. The movers arrived 15 mins early and worked hard for the next few hours. Then I received a call from the owner the day after the move to see if everything went OK. I told the owner that everything went very smoothly except for the fact that the movers scratched my concrete front steps with the metal ramp that extended from the truck. I'm hoping I can fix that !! I have had dicey experiences with movers in the past so this was a worry free move for me. I recommend them even if they were more expensive than other companies and despite the front step scratches. It's worth it. read more

I just used Lite movers for the second time. These extraordinary people handled an emergency with efficiency, expertise and dilligence. (They were emptying out a gym and an older piece of equipment leaked motor oil on a white wool rug). Their speed and dilligence (including calling a few colleagues) enabled us to remove the oil leaks on the whit carpet as well as adjunct carpets and cement. I booked a date with Litemovers for March back in January. There was a mix up on my part about the dates and I realized the day of my move what had happened. I called Rob Lail, the president at Litemovers, at 7 AM on a Sunday morning when I was stuck at the apartment I had to be out of before midnight that night and Rob saved the day. He sent Garvin and James out to move all my stuff from the fourth floor of my apartment building (with no elevator) into my new house in the pouring rain. Garvin and James didn't complain once about the stairs, the rain, or all my stuff - instead they told corny jokes all afternoon. They were two of the most polite guys I've dealt with in a long time. I got a half hour warning phone call from Garvin when they were on the road on the way out to my apartment which was very helpful because I was able to run to the store before they got there and wasn't waiting at their disposal all afternoon. They also arrived right in the window of time Rob promised. They didn't break anything and they took my bed apart and set it up for me. Moving is incredibly taxing and stressful and having the two of them to help for just about two hours saved me 10+ hours of frustration and back breaking labor. The price quote was right on the money, too. No surprises with Litemovers ... they get the job done just as they promise. Don't forget to TIP YOUR MOVERS! They make their living on gratuity and moving is hard work. read more
