Update: I had hired this scam company through thumbtack and I'm glad I did. They have a guarantee that protects you from thieves like this. I have been totally reimbursed. Art only agreed to pay 187 of it and he only paid it bc it was legally binding. And even then I had to contact him to do it AFTER the date he had told thumbtack it would be paid. Finally he paid and I've been made whole. I have contacted the attorney general in my state and they have informed me that they are looking into this company. The owner of "I Like To Move It" just proved my point with his reply. He is trying to shift the responsibility to POD or the movers that unloaded it, but that is absurd. How could the movers in Colorado be responsible for your movers stacking fragile bins on the bottom. Look at the photo. The fragile bins were CLEARLY packed wrong with heavy items on top of them. I told the one mover multiple times not to do that. The bins were packed well with bubble wrap and newspapers. We wrapped some in towels. The reason there was a 2 week delay on reporting the damage was because we didn't arrive in Colorado until 2 weeks later. I didn't know the items were damaged and that the stupid mover had put the fragile bins at the bottom of the stack EVEN THOUGH I told him multiple times not to. This is a typical trash comment by a garbage company. Always trying to place blame on someone else. Shame on you, Art. Take some responsibility. Look at the photos. You know you messed up. I just hope this post saves some people from making the same mistake I made. I ended paying for what I got. I hired three people for a very small move, hoping to get more efficient and fast service. Unfortunately, they loaded exactly what it was previously listed, but they refused to load extra items into the truck after only 45 minutes of work (eg.: a lamp, a rug, boxes and a painting). I had to practically beg them to do it and they weren't friendly at all after my request. Additionally, the service includes for assembly services, which were denied even if they ended 35 minutes before the estimated 3 hours. The workers left early, contrary to the quote that promised extra help. Despite these issues, I still gave them as tip of gratitude. However, I believe customer satisfaction and maintaining high-quality service should be a priority. I hope this feedback prevents similar experiences for other clients in the future. read more

If you are moving then this is the company to use. Art was responsive to our request and provided us a very reasonable quote. We were moving from PA to DE (1.5hr drive by car). The two guys that moved us were awesome they communicated with us with a ETA and arrived timely. They worked in unison with each other which made things go so smoothly. I've moved several times and even had my possession's high jacked, so for me moving is stressful, however this was my best move ever. I highly recommend these guys. The price was very reasonable and was within my budget. We set up a pick up time and the day before I was sent the invoice. Art was very responsive leading up to the moving day and the day of. Two movers were sent to my home. Jasir and Daeem. They were the most polite and professional young men I have met in a long time. They were very efficient and got all of my items in the truck in great time. I needed my items delivered to two locations. One location was a storage facility. The two young men packed the space so well and still left me with room in the event that I needed more. As I was preparing for my move from Philadelphia to Washington DC, I had a lot of anxiety. Moving is always stressful, and I've done a lot of it in the past 10 years. But for this move, my better half declared that we had to hire professional movers, which we'd never done before- we'd always schlepped from state to state in a U-haul. Since my partner decided he was done with that, it became my job to actually find the movers... Thank goodness for Yelp, which pointed me to the highly rated I Like to Move It Move It LLC - I seriously can't imagine a better experience. Art was extremely easy to communicate with, offering a flat hourly rate of $185/hour up front in response to my Yelp inquiry, (all expenses included). Over the next few weeks he quickly responded to all my texts and provided all the information I needed, of when his team would arrive, the billing process, etc. So far, so good. Then, moving day - oh my goodness. That better half of mine was already living in DC, so I took a day off from work to manage the moving logistics in Philadelphia. Elijah texted me 10 minutes before arriving (which was within the timeframe promised by Art). He and his associate Sam showed up with a massive truck, and immediately started loading boxes, bags and furniture once I showed them where everything was. They were done in barely more than half an hour. It was insane how easily they scooped up massive boxes and heavy furniture, as if they were small toys. (My 5-foot no-upper-body strength-having-self was completely grateful and relieved.) Three hours later I met Elijah and Sam at the unloading location (my new home) and they were as quick and skillful at handling that process as they had been with the packing. They actually ended up finishing over an hour early! Art had sent me an estimate the day before (you have the option of paying the full amount up front or half, with the next half due on moving day). My balance was adjusted accordingly. Important point to mention, ILTMI does not charge for the return trip hours, as most moving companies do, which is a huge advantage when you're moving three hours away from Philadelphia. Overall, my first experience with a professional moving company was fantastic, and I am so thankful to Art, Elijah and Sam for all their efforts. I should also note how wonderfully nice and personable both Elijah and Sam were throughout the whole process. Im not editing my review since there was service to be provided and it was not, due to a lack of preparation and communication to his crew. No contingency plan was offered. We ended up scrambling to find new movers since we needed to return our truck rental. In addition, I took a monetary loss due to broken items. As I previously stated, he refunded me the deposit + 50$ for two broke items. $280 for the deposit + 50$ broken items = $330. However the value of the two items exceeded 50$ and I had to replace them. I am not googling a cryptic response...... This review is related to my personal experience with this company. I booked them from a friend's recommendation so I had high hopes. Things started out or promising. Art was very responsive and the rate he quoted was reasonable. A 3 man crew to unload and reassemble furniture. Approximately 7 weeks prior to the move I provided a list of furniture and details on what needed to be reassembled weeks in advance. I paid for 50% of the move the day before the move. Day of the move, the crew was running late. No problem, we scheduled an afternoon move and things happen. They arrived about 1.5 hrs late and were apologetic. They were visibly tired from the previous move. First problem was that a two man crew arrived instead of a three man crew. Second problem was that the crew had no tools, dolly, handtruck, straps etc to complete the move. The crew tried contacting Art, we tried contacting Art, his only response was sorry that you only have two men, I'll refund you the difference. The crew even showed us texts from Art where he didn't give them any details for the move. For the move we needed to have done it was not possible with two men. (Maybe it would be been more possible with the right moving equipment but they didn't have any) The two movers started to move a few things and broke a lamp and a simple human trash can within 20min. We thanked them for their time and sent them on their way. Art will never speak with you on the phone, only by text which is fine normally but when there's a problem, not so great. He refunded the deposit for the move but only compensated 50$ for the two broke items. The lamp was 250$ and the trash can was $150. He did not answer any more texts. So to sum it up, your move could go great or it could go poorly. Inconsistent service overall. read more

No one wore a mask. Men called out so I had substitutes. The substitutes never did moving work before. My walls were damaged severely. My expensive bedroom furniture was drug across the ground and scraped up which ruined them completely. The men stacked items on visible "fragile" boxes. The men also placed my heavy dining table on its side on top of other items and broke one of the legs of the table, clear off. I told Art of the issues and he issued me a refund but I want to be compensated for the damage to my furniture. It's not my problem if your men are not capable. Update: Arthur did reach out via text and apologized for the missing communication and experience. He also offered us a refund, which I greatly appreciate. Movers were several hours late. I was initially promised two movers, but only one showed up. Almost two hours later, two more came. Because of this, the truck was improperly loaded and all of our belongings didn't fit. We could have paid for more time, however I was beyond frustrated. Through the process our bed frame was broken due to an inability of the staff to disassemble the piece. It was left standing upright in the apartment which lead to breakdown and it wasn't salvageable. Our tv stand and dresser were scratched & bar cart broken. I notified the owner of our experience and damaged possessions and never received a response. I was wary of paying upfront and I see now that I was correct in feeling that way. read more

I used this company and cannot highlight enough how bad my experience was. I have moved 6 times in 6 years, and I have never had the experience I had here. I gave my inventory and highlighted a few times that I wanted the insurance. In my invoice that I paid, the insurance of 75% of damaged property was clearly laid out. Upon coming, the movers did not have enough blankets for my items. I expressed this concern immediately. My items were removed from my apartment without blankets and the blankets were loosely on top them once they got into the truck. My fabric items did not have any blankets on them, so all fabric furniture was dirty. It was raining, so my items got wet as a result. When we got to my new location, my items came in dirty and damaged. See photos below. 2 of my buffet tables were damaged, and my couch is now completely squeaking. I reached out the owner and was more or less completely dismissed. He refused to honor any insurance and just stopped responding to me. Lesson learned and caution to anyone thinking of using this company. Pay more money so your stuff doesn't have chips and your couch doesn't have a horrible squeak. In the attached photos you will how your items will be packed into the truck, and that your insurance will not be honored nor will you be given the time of day with a response. Highly recommend I Like to Move It! Art (the owner of the company) is excellent at communicating via text message. It's 2021 and that's what I'm looking for when dealing with something stressful like moving. The movers ran a little late but they called ahead of time to give us a heads up. I only talked to them over the phone but they were delightful. My boyfriend was the point person the day of the move and he said they were great. They were quick but careful while moving our furniture. He also said they complimented us on our new apartment which definitely adds a feel good experience. I thought the pricing was very fair. We paid per hour rather than per item or pound moved and we were also able to add on insurance for $25. Since they were moving our peloton, I was thankful for the insurance just in case (aka our most prized possession). Everything was delivered in one piece. Look no further if you're moving. This is the best quote we got of almost ten quotes to move AND they had an opening just two days from when we called (we wanted to move ASAP). We had Ulysses and Justin for our move. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, they were wonderful humans! They moved our furniture down three flights of stairs with no complaints IN THE POURING RAIN. Give these men a raise! Not only that, they were lovely interpersonally and very professional. When one of our boxes of records got wet and broke open, Ulysses even brought it inside and took them all out to ensure the records were dry and not damaged. None of our stuff or walls were scuffed or damaged. The person that scheduled us was communicative and responded in a timely manner. These guys were in and out in under three hours. What a terrible company/owner! I contacted them after hiring movers for an AM move whose truck ended up breaking down. I informed the owner of this issue after communication who expressed that he could pick me up at 1:30-2pm. Great, super ecstatic. Owner sends link to pay, and I do so. Then 2pm rolls around and I have to contact as to why no one has communicated with me regarding the move. He says the drivers are finishing up a job 20 minutes away and should be no later than 3:30pm. Of course I'm not happy considering I've been attempting this move since early AM, but fine. Then 3:30pm comes and goes and once again, I have to contact for an update as to why my movers have STILL not arrived! The owner cannot even get a response from people on his own "team". I tell him that he needs to issue a credit due to the inconvenience caused. I did not expect this type of treatment, especially with prepaid services. Instead of addressing the true nature of these issues, he attempts to MOCK me by saying no one told me to prepay (even though he sent a prepay link and invoice PRIOR to move). The fact that you'd rather blame a customer for pre-paying vs holding your team accountable for providing timely service and care is ABHORRENT behavior. I purposely attempt to support but unfortunately per usual, black owned businesses offering the bare minimum in terms of customer service and support! He still NEVER addressed the movers being unresponsive, nor the fact that I know am being left high and dry to finance another move (until his refund is processed). No apology, no attempt to rectify HIS error, just giving me his ass to kiss. Disgusting. Since you still don't seem to follow, a RESPONSIBLE business owner would be honest and say something the way of "I can accommodate you but since it's last minute you'll be on standby, which could be as early as 1:30pm and the latest of which could be 6-7pm" and then allow the customer to decide if that works for them. The fact that you even think it's okay for me to wait around endlessly for hours on end for the sheer fact that you CONFIRMED a move is ridiculous and shows the level of unprofessionalism and low standards you hold for yourself and your company. The fact that a man who is calling himself a reputable businessman is telling customers "Don't bite the hand that helps you" is also hilariously unprofessional. Just a major yikes all around. Also: my Yelp history speaks for itself. All of my reviews are open, honest and detailed reviews that are often accompanied with photographic evidence (screenshots don't lie). I have no reason to to write a negative review outside of having an overwhelming negative experience (that continued with his "response" to honest feedback) with this company. Communication was and clearly still is an issue for Art. His response shows that he lacks the integrity he states he's unwilling to compromise on. It's psychotic to provide these low standards of service and then blame the consumer. He will never improve his business because he clearly thinks he provided satisfactory service, when he gave me the bare minimum and expected me to lower my own expectations to meet his. If his team showed up and completed the job as advertised there would be no issue. My advice to anyone is to take heed of the response to this situation. This man communicated more via a yelp review than he did for the actual paid service. You would've thought he was doing this for free for the empty concessions he thought was okay to adhere to. I moved a few months ago and I am still waiting/given up on receiving my reimbursement for my large artwork that was damaged during the move. I even paid for the additional moving insurance! After weeks of getting the run around, I was told they would order and send new frame (odd way to rectify an insured service) and its been months now, my messages to Art are not being responded to and I never received my new frame. To make matters worse, the actual move took 6 hours not the estimated 3, in which we paid for the additional charges. Other items were lost/damaged in the process which after weeks of follow up we did receive some reimbursement. This was my second time using "I like to Move it" and it will be the last! read more

Cannot recommend this company enough! EB and Mike were so pleasant and helpful and arrived within the agreed upon time. They were taking the proper precautions and wearing masks and gloves per CDC guidelines. They were also funny and sweet and told me to relax and calm down as they could sense how anxious I was to move amidst all the coronavirus stuff. All my belongings were moved out in less than an hour and relocated to my new apartment a few blocks away. They even gave me a ride over there :) Art was extremely communicative and even checked in mid-move to make sure that everything was going smoothly. My move was incredibly painless and easy--even moving to the 20th floor of a new apartment building. The rate was very reasonable. BUYER BEWARE: I like to move it move started out perfectly fine. They were on time, started moving things however it went downhill when they broke my kitchen table. I was told by the lead mover "don't worry about this, we have insurance that will cover everything." In addition to the broken table there were multiple deep dents/scraped left in the walls from mistake turns/drops etc. Knowing I was charged for insurance I felt safe. Now over a week out from my request the owner has not sent me any insurance information and is saying he will not use insurance (that I was charged for per his invoice) and pay out of pocket at 75% of value and he is playing games with what HE thinks the value is (after I pulled the receipt from Raymour and Flanigan). This morning he finally sent me over the funds for damages. Unfortunately, it as only 14% OF OUR AGREED ANOUNT... Now I have to go to small claims court for possible insurance fraud, BUYER BEWARE. Their moving blankets that they use to cover furniture with glass has bed bugs. Hence their truck is infested with bed bugs.We moved into a new house from an apartment using this company. We found bed bugs on all our boxes and now we have to hire an exterminator for a 4 bedroom house for $2.5k because the owner denied of such complaints from any other customer. Bed bug treatments can cost an arm and a leg so be careful before using this company. read more

I hired this company for a local move. I paid a deposit and the balance the day of the move plus tip. I also paid extra for insurance. The crew took the TV off the mount at the old location and moved it in the truck. They placed the TV in the living room of the new place. I had the TV mounted at the new place...after they mounted the TV and turned it on I noticed it had a crack in it. I contacted Art thinking it would be an easy resolution because I purchased insurance. Art responded that he would get back to me by the end of the day...no response. I've tried several more times to contact him, to no avail. I also noticed a chip in my dining room table, I wasn't going to make a big deal about it because the TV is barely a year old so I am more worried about replacing it.
