I enrolled my baby at Kindercare Foster City when she was just 7 months old, and it has been such a positive experience for our family. From the very beginning, Miss Betty made me feel incredibly welcome and supported. As a parent, especially sending such a young baby to daycare, that reassurance meant a lot to me. The infant classroom staff are truly amazing especially Miss Nataly and Miss Liz, they're caring, attentive, and patient. Now that she has transitioned into the toddler class. The new teachers are just as kind, engaged, and dedicated. Most importantly, my baby is genuinely happy at this center. She feels secure, loved, and excited to go each day, which gives me so much peace of mind. I'm really sad that we have to switch to a different Kindercare due to my work situation. This daycare has the most amazing teachers and support staff. Both of my kids grew up in the infant and toddler class. I was sad to transition them to a different preschool (for language immersion) but I highly recommend this KinderCare for infant/toddler care to other parents looking for a safe, transparent, and high quality daycare. They also have great pick-up/drop-off hours and a variety of meals (breakfast, lunch, snack) and the convenience of it all was very worthwhile. We did tour a few other daycares and options for infant care but ultimately chose this location for the environment and low turnover (some of our favorite teachers have been here for many years)! The facility is clean and organized and the staff and directors are welcoming, friendly, and transparent. Like any place, there is still some staff changes but over the last few years, our experience has always been consistent and excellent. The teachers, director, and assistant director all have a level of patience, compassion, and love for kids that is unheard of. They always greet my daughter with a smile when she arrives to school. In her first year in the toddler room she absolutely thrived. She loves the daily circle time where she learned her ABC's, counting in both English and Spanish, she had books memorized, and she learned so many songs (although sometimes it was hard to figure out which songs she was singing hehe). She recently transitioned to the two year old classroom where I was allowed to sit with my daughter for breakfast for the first couple of days until she felt comfortable. After about a week and a half she would strut in on her own and wave good bye. This class has a higher ratio, but I am amazed at how well Ms AJ is able keep the kids focused on the task and the daily schedule. After such a short time my daughter plays at home more independently and she knows the days of the week and months of the year! Childcare is one of the things that stressed me out the most as a first time mom. I started researching daycare options even in my first trimester of pregnancy (which was too early, but just to emphasize my point that I had a lot of anxiety about it). My baby has been going to Foster City KinderCare for about 2 months now, and I am extremely happy with the experience so far. Even from day 1, the teachers and directors were empathetic to not only our baby being new to daycare, but also us as parents too! They reassured us that they'll send frequent updates and photos, and they did exactly that. From drop off, pick up, photos/videos, and other updates we receive throughout the day, it's really clear that our baby loves her teachers and coming to KinderCare. Some of the things I love the most: - The hours are very flexible and works well for our schedule. We can drop off/pick up any time within the window. - The photos/videos we receive through the app are the highlights for my work day. - The facility is very clean and there's a lot of toys and activities for the babies. It's so cute seeing them sit in a circle to play music together, read books, paint, etc... - The teachers are absolutely wonderful, my daughter's face lights up when she sees them. read more

My experience with KinderCare Foster City was nothing short of a complete disappointment. From the moment we enrolled our baby, it became abundantly clear that this establishment lacked the basic level of care and attention required for an infant's well-being. I am appalled by their negligence, lack of professionalism, and refusal to take responsibility for their actions. On our baby's very first day at KinderCare Foster City, we were shocked to receive a call just two hours after drop-off, informing us that our child was being sent home due to a diaper rash. It is mind-boggling that a reputable childcare facility cannot handle a minor diaper rash and lacks the ability to properly tend to such a common and easily manageable issue. It is a basic expectation that a childcare provider should be capable of handling routine situations like this with competence and care. What makes matters worse is that when we decided to withdraw our child from their care after hearing about their inability to provide adequate attention during such times, KinderCare Foster City refused to refund our money after repeated communications over phone, email and even in person. This is a clear demonstration of their lack of empathy and concern for the well-being of the children entrusted to their care. They prioritized their financial gain over the needs and safety of the infants they are supposed to nurture and protect. It is deeply troubling that a childcare facility would prioritize efficiency over the well-being of its young charges. If KinderCare Foster City cannot provide the necessary care and attention to a child with a minor ailment such as a diaper rash, one has to question their ability to handle more serious situations or emergencies. It is crucial for parents to feel confident that their children are in safe hands, but this establishment has proven to be sorely lacking in this regard. I strongly advise parents to reconsider entrusting the care of their children to KinderCare Foster City. Their lack of responsibility, professionalism, and refusal to prioritize the needs of infants is unacceptable. Kinder Care Foster City has completely disappointed us after 2 years of wonderful care. When my daughter turned two and transitioned to her 3rd class, she became extremely uneasy and afraid of one of her new teachers, she was terrified when she would see Ms. AJ but was okay with the rest of the staff. My daughter who once loved going to "school" began to feel uncomfortable and no longer wanted to walk into the daycare center and would scream and run towards the exit during drop off. The trust had been built prior and her previous teachers were amazing in the past so I thought maybe it was the transition although she has moved around before. I gave it a few months, observed and spoke with the assistant and director in hopes of a better outcome. Unfortunately, all the director and assistant can say is that maybe its the teachers "way" of teaching, maybe because the teacher is not as "bubbly and warm" as the others, maybe she needs more "time". I have seen my daughter turn and see this teacher and react in a way where I no longer felt confident and comfortable leaving her there, I took her out of this daycare because overall the managing staff was insensitive about the whole situation and the teacher AJ herself has a very passive aggressive type of attitude she displays, she is not warm and welcoming she seems as though she walks around with an attitude and annoyed. Teachers should really be evaluated and reminded of their job responsibilities in working with young kids. We had the worst few months in the twos class and we are just glad this is over and found a new daycare/preschool. Please watch the feelings your kids display around certain people and advocate for them, highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Phenomenal daycare. We are super pleased at the development and care that our child receives at this location because of all the wonderful staff. We have noticed tremendous development in social interaction with others as well as improvement of cognitive, motor, and intellectual. He recognizes everyone and feels comfortable. We communicate so easily with the staff about events, supplies, and they even have parents night out! We are both very happy to have this place withing a short walk. It's been 7months since we joined Kindercare and we have nothing but good things to say. Our kid is in one of the Toddler classes and he loves all his teachers. We want to give a special shout out to Ms Maddie as she has made the drop off so much easier when our kid was at clingy phase. This morning, we were having one of those days where kid poured my coffee all over himself right as we were walking out the door to daycare. So we washed and changed him, and missed the breakfast time. We normally give him small breakfast when he wakes up but he is ALWAYS hungry so I was worried that he might not survive until lunch. Ms Maddie again saves the day by procuring banana. Ms Aneli, Ms Tania, Ms Vanessa, and Ms Shayla have also been wonderful to our kid and I cannot thank them enough. From the daily photos they send, I see our kid getting daily dose of outdoor activities, sensory activities such as arts and crafts, playing in groups with bubbles and toys. Through app they share, I can see when diapers were changed and what he had for breakfast and lunch so I can avoid those at dinner time for more variety of food he gets in a day. Ms Betty and Ms Vanessa were also accommodating to the crazy year we were having with so many travels. Thank you Kindercare for taking such a great care of our kid! My 22 month old son has been attending KinderCare Foster City for 2 months now and I can't describe with words all the positive changes thanks to his AMAZING teacher Ms. Nadine who takes great care of him. When started daycare in August, 2020 my child was speech delayed and knew only 2 words. Now 2 months later he can count from 1 to 10, knows his colors and shapes, recognizes all the letters, and does variety of puzzles. I just recently started taking my 2 month old daughter to this center. Being a new mom was scary on its own, especially having to leave her so little. Her teachers, Ms. Elia, Ms. Sandra, and Ms. Socorro have reassured me that she was going to be ok and they were going to give her lots of love. They made sure to send lots of pictures and videos through their app, so I could see what she's doing throughout the day. She is so happy in each picture and video. It honestly warms my heart to see how happy she is! They have also sent actual printed photos home that I've been hanging on the fridge! The teachers and caregivers at this KinderCare are amazing, and I have come to recognize them as an extended team to raise my baby boy. At first, I was hesitant of registering my baby boy to a daycare center because of the horror stories I read from Dr. Google. I toured the center twice to observe more in detail. And as you would expect, the place is not tip top shape but it wouldn't be a daycare if it is, wouldn't it? I have grown to trust the center, especially the teachers, due to three main things, 1/attention, 2/safety and 3/development, they provide my baby boy. When my baby boy started, he was the youngest amongst all the infants and wasn't mobile. The teachers held him a lot and nurtured him. 1/Attention: Being the head of the class, Ms. Laura, would update us how our baby boy was doing in class each day. She would also provide recommendations on how and what we can do at home if she sees any red flags on our baby boy (mostly his eating habits). Other teachers, like Ms. Nadine, would also let me know how he is progressing in drinking his bottles or eatin solids. Through the KinderCare app, we get updates in nearly real-time throughout the day, and not to mention photos and videos. 2/Safety: I trust the space my baby boy is in while he is at KinderCare. All the teachers are very vigilant of who comes into the room. If they see an unknown person, they stop them and ask for their information. While the classroom may be messy during the day because all the babies are playing with the toys, the classrooms gets re-organized at the end of each day. They do a full sweep of the classroom at the end of each day so I know my baby boy is playing in a clean and safe place. The teachers also follow a pretty strict process of how to handle food, play, etc. that I don't believe nannies or home daycares follow. 3/Development: I want to think a big portion of my baby boy's fast cognitive and motor skill development is from KinderCare. I don't know for sure, but I think teachers have helped him grow. For example, Ms. Christine walk around holding him, talking about things they see and lets him touch things with different textures, Ms. Cristina sings different songs to the kids to the point where my son recognizes the 'wheels on the bus' song, and Ms. Laura, Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Janice read books to the kids as well, so I am reassured that I don't have to scramble to read and sing to my son every night if I run out of time (and feel guilty). Finally, the center creates monthly 'lesson' plans that are customized to each kid's development. If they see that my kid is about to learn how to roll or sit up, they will focus on helping him roll or sit up independently. I also think a big part of why my baby boy has been thriving is because KinderCare is more like a community (or a village) where my baby boy gets attention and love not from only one or two teachers but from many (Bonus: I get feedback from multiple teachers). My son has been able to recognize teachers from other classrooms, like Ms. Asia and Ms. Shanti, who have also come in to sing and read to the kids. And finally a shoutout to the center's director, Ms. Rebecca - she is very responsive whenever I have questions in person or through the app! read more

I have two children enrolled at Kindercare and we have been a Kindercare family for the past 3 years. We have had really great caretakers and educators and completely trust them with our children. The administrative staff and director, Rebecca, are great. They are always receptive to feedback and have made many positive changes to the center since they started at this location. It's a play based learning approach and the kids get lots of outside time when the weather is nice and this aligns with our parenting style and philosophy. They even potty trained my son! As an immigrant mom who has no family supports, the teachers in Kindercare are like my family here- I can feel how much they love my child though every little things that they do for her. Best learning center ! Great location, staff and excellent learning activities. My daughter learned a lot from this learning center. Her teacher Ms. Asia is the best, she has a lot of activities and lessons prepared everyday for the pre-kindergarten class. She's very patient, caring and supportive teacher. My daughter Iris stays here since 11 months old. When she started, I was in doubt. But after 20 months experience in infant room, toddler room and preschool room, I feel it's a good and safe place you can trust. Ms. Mary is warm and hugs little Iris when Iris was scared at first. Ms. Penny always hugs Iris and helps her do the hair for fun. Ms. Socorro smiles and greets Iris with Chinese "how are you". Ms. Neri always shares Iris' daily emotional up and down with me. Ms. Serena is always cheerful when interacting with Iris and Ms. Bonus is considerate and sings lots of songs with kids. About management, Rebecca, Janice and Betty take turns to keep everything in track in the big daycare. Sometimes teachers take vacation or maternity leave but they return after a while. I find the teachers are almost still those ladies 20 months before. It's a tremendous support for a working mom like me with their schedule from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Sometimes I just take a small nap in the car before I pick up Iris. It provides breakfast, lunch and snack so I don't need to pack lunch in a rush morning. No one judges you when you drop late or stay longer. There are lots of bathrooms and fountains for kids which is rare in other schools. Teachers share activity report, pictures and video with you by email daily now. Also there are some teachers' kids, at least 1 or 2 in each room. So there's a family feel here. Our child attended this daycare 'learning center' and just got so sick all of the time. Not just any sickness, but terrible fevers, discolored mucus and could only get well with antibiotics. After catching different sicknesses for months on end, it's was enough. The hygiene practices at this school don't really exist. The hand soap dispensers were often out of soap, as are the paper towels for the kids to dry their hands. The glass on the doors were streaked with dirty finger prints and marks - - for the "very" expensive tuition, at least they could have the windows wiped clean daily. Kids were allowed to attend school even when they are obviously sick, if they have fevers, runny noses, green slime running from there noses, and often times they will be sick and using their own hands and sleeves to wipe their noses. It no surprise that any sickness any child brings, will rotate to every other child and teacher at the center. Some of the teachers at this location were wonderful and are the highlights of this center. It's a teacher that can make the class great or not. However, the staff changes like the weather. It was hard to get used to one teacher because the next day they'd be gone. Either the corporation doesn't care much for their employees and treats them as ping pong balls or as disposable napkins, or there is a valid reason for the turnover. As if tuition weren't high enough, they have an annual teacher's appreciation week. It's great to honor the staff... but a whole week of buying gifts? They hand out a list of the teacher's favorite gift cards, restaurants, department stores and flowers so you buy them a gift for every day of the week. Mother's day isn't even a week long! Teacher's should be honored, but the corporation should go the extra-mile to grant perks and show appreciation for the staff, not try to gouge the parents who are already spending more tuition at this day care center than others in the area. Last, this is a private company. Why are they closed for so many holidays and staff training days? Tuition is WEEKLY, meaning if there's a holiday, there's no pro-rated tuition, you still pay for the entire week. In the adult world, our work places don't celebrate "Columbus Day", so in addition to the weekly tuition, we have to pay a babysitter, in addition, for the day. The worst were the closures for 'staff training'. Can't staff training be done on a weekend, so the parents' aren't affected? What are we supposed to tell our bosses, "I can't come to work because our day care place has a 'Staff Training'"? The food menu was nice though. A good variety. Rarely ever any fresh fruit, mostly canned fruit. They serve the food and sweep it away so fast, there's seemingly no chance for 'seconds' if a child were still hungry. There was a good daily activity program though - - but sadly, mostly overshadowed by the other things. read more

We sent my older daughter there back in 2014 as a 4-month-old infant and though I was really anxious about it at first, that quickly went away. Her teacher, Ms. Laura, was loving but disciplined, and she taught me so much about parenting. The facility is clean and organized, and there are many processes in place to keep kids safe. Children start learning and doing projects right from the infant stage, and they become social from the interaction with other kids. My daughter did more at school than she ever would have done at home with a nanny, and they even potty trained her! We live in Pacifica and I work in Foster City, and when my second daughter came along, I swore I did not want to commute with her all the way to Foster City. However, we just could not find another day care near us that was as good as this one, so she is currently there. And we could not be happier! Everyone is so good to her and she really loves her teachers, and she is growing and learning so quickly. Both my girls are very well spoken for their ages and are very good at interacting with others, and I really credit Foster City KinderCare with making them that way. I'm surprised to see such low rating . I feel they deserve recognition for the hard and wonderful job they do. My daughter attended kindergarten 5 years back and she still loves coming visiting, even though the stuff changed since then. Back then she was under-aged for "public" kindergarten and she joined kindergarten group in winter (when we moved into area). After spending there 1/2 year she was ready to join 1st graders in Audubon. When i was coming to pick her up i often had to wait another 15 minutes till she finishes playing with her friends. Now my son attends this place and again, we are happy with this childcare again.. It's clean, kids are entertained. They study about solar system, plant seeds, learn to count, read and write .They have kitchen and make warm lunches for kids (meatballs, asparagus, tomato soup with beef, vegetarian options). One day i dropped off my kid and stopped for a moment near kitchen. It's smelled delicious! Large rooms, large playground. Their stuff is very friendly and flexible. Their hours (7am to 6pm) and very little of days off is a huge help for working parents. And if you are arrive at 6:10 pm you'll still find some kids playing... My son started preschool when he was 3 and he developed some allergy rush on his cheek. I mentioned this to their teachers and she was able to identify what food caused the rush THE SAME DAY! They made sure do not give him this type of food and the rush went away. When I had to find the cause of some rush it took me months!!!! There is a group for babies and when I come, I often see some teacher or a manger holding and hugging some baby. I sent my son here for back up care. It was his very first daycare experience given he has been at home due to the pandemic. The first couple days were definitely tough as expected. But the teachers and staff tried their best to comfort him and made him feel comfortable while keeping me updated constantly. The App they use is wonderful - it provides updates like the food they eat, what time kids do their No.1 and No.2, nap time, and a lot of photos. They have a lot of activities - drawing, stamping, playing with paints to allow toddlers develop their eye-hand coordination. They have fun events occasionally such as train ride/summer party. The outdoor space is nice and kids always have their jackets on when they are outside in the morning. Finally, on his last day, his teachers made a photo album for him recording his progress and art work he did at the center. We will definitely miss them! read more

I can't say enough about the staff, Ms Laura, Elia and Stephanie in the infant room are amazing, Ms Mari, Mony, Janet and Sandra have been absolutely wonderful teachers to my youngest girl she adores all of them. Mr Sammar in the pre k class cares about his students so much and the administration staff is top notch. Even when my work location changed a couple of years ago and I had to drive a longer distance to the child care I didn't mind because I knew they were getting the best care and it's hard to trust someone with your child but they have all become like extended family to us. If your looking for a child care for your little ones I highly recommend KinderCare they have been absolutely wonderful place for our girls. Plus meals and snacks are included which makes life for working parents so much easier. read more

Recently visited this location. Not impressed. Feels outdated and rundown. Didn't get a chance to really meet staff but the energy of the center seemed off. Maybe I'm hard to please regarding my kids daycare options, but seemed too pricey for quality of care... read more

Since my last review, my son has moved into the toddler room. His teachers are all of amazing character and they show that they care a great deal about my son. It helps that I make an effort to show them the respect they deserve and the appreciation they deserve for being such great teachers and caregivers. My son has learned a lot in his classes. Holly and Jessica are a great team and have led the families and staff through a pretty extensive remodel that looks great and the center will flow better with their new design. In addition, I can tell that they are making efforts to differentiate themselves. I get sweet calls from the teachers just giving me insight into how my son behaves in class. There are tons of focused activities, even for the toddlers. They do a great job with communication. There was a moment in time when I considered looking for lower cost alternatives, but with all the great changes they have made in just the last year, I wouldn't think about leaving. They've really upped their game and it shows. read more

Our daughter, Meera has been attending Foster City Kindercare for over a year now and in that time we have seen her to grow up to be such a thoughtful, caring and kind girl. She loves and adores all her teachers to the fullest from Ms. Mony, Ms. Mr. Alex, Ms. Janet, Ms. Kristina, Mr. Cesar to her current teachers Ms. Bonas and Mr. Luis - they have all played an instrumental role in her upbringing and overall growth. Even during these crazy pandemic times, the schools Management (Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Janice) have gone above and beyond to ensure a safe and happy environment for all kids. My husband and I will forever be indebted to this school and the teachers. And can never thank them enough for everything they do on a regular basis for all their students! read more

We have two kids in the center. One started in infants and the other in two. They have been there for two years now and we are excited to send our recent baby girl to school here. The entire staff knows our family and seems to genuinely care about the kids. Ms Rebecca, the Director has been a huge resource for behavior modification of our three year old. She has also provided information how to welcome our new baby girl. They changed to fresh fruit last year and meals are loved by the kids. Great community of parents and love the extra activities like parents night out, pumpkin patch and egg hunts! read more

Our daughter has been attending Foster City Kindercare since she turned 11 months old and we have been very impressed by Ms. Rebecca and her team so far. Our daughter transitioned through various classes this year and the teachers (Ms. Ikeaya, Ms, Socorro, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Nadine, Mr. Samar) kept us updated about her progress from time to time. Even with a mention of 'school', our baby girl is ready with her bag and shoes and is eager to meet her friends. She is very happy and excited when we pick her up in the evening and misses school on the weekends. She hums the songs that the teachers sing (in her baby language!) So, we have no doubt that this center is a safe, caring and nurturing place for all the kids and Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Janice and Ms. Vanessa are doing an excellent job managing it. read more

My daughter has been going to Kindercare since she was 18 months, and she has thrived. The staff are all really friendly, and the teachers have all been really caring and attentive. Our little one has learned so much and has been able to come into her own and find her confidence - she is always coming home singing a new song. Even though it is a play-based school, they change curriculum every month or so and the kids are always interested in learning about nature, or dinosaurs, or whatever the topic may be. The hours are great too since we both work and our commute can be unpredictable it was hard to find a place that opens early and is open til 6 - like this location. They also do a lot of parents nights and family events to help build a sense of community. read more

This review is long overdue but I have had a really wonderful experience here. My son is almost a year old and he started here at only 3 months old. He was not an easy baby at all and the entire staff was so patient and really great with him. They helped me immensely with putting him on a good schedule and getting him to eat solids (he was a very fussy eater). They even did arts and crafts and I have so many cute pics of my son having a lot of fun painting. Unfortunately we recently moved so we had to leave because the drive became far too long for my carseat-hating little one, but I am so sad about it and will miss everyone there. My son loved his teachers and they were truly my village during this first year. read more
