My boyfriend and I came to Fotogenic Studio for our anniversary photoshoot and had a great experience! We chose the 30 minute couples session, which was $100 at the time (I noticed they've since updated the price to $120). The session went by SOOOO quick but we ended up taking a total of 114 photos! A helpful tip: screenshot some pose ideas beforehand so you have something to reference during the shoot. It really helped us make the most of our time although I wish we had more time to take more solo shots :( We received our photos via AirDrop right after the session. I love the quality of the photos! The staff was super accommodating staff. Taking your own pictures takes away a lot of the pressure and makes it an enjoyable experience. They have so many awesome props and the pricing is fair. This was our second time coming to Fotogenic. My family and I came here to take pictures for the holidays and the set up with the tree and the presents were soo cute and having the room, props, and camera to take pictures ourselves was so easy to do and everything went smoothly. I'm leaving this review mainly for the service we experienced that day. I wasn't able to get the lady's name who was there, but she was so helpful! She made sure the lighting in the room was to our liking before we started. And with a newborn and a toddler, she also gave us time to get situated before starting the timer. She offered us 2 prints per person and even counted both our kids which was unexpected but so nice to do. Even though she forgot to give us one of the prints before we left, it wasn't that big of a deal to us especially since she offered to mail it. It arrived in the mail within a couple days and she even framed it for us. So sweet of her! Thank you again for a wonderful experience. Love the idea of Fotogenic Studio! We easily booked a Saturday morning timeslot in July with just a few weeks notice. Before booking I was able to text their phone number with a few questions I had and received quick responses. You're not necessarily subject to only the "packages" you see listed on their booking site. For example, I was able to book the Duo Package 20 minutes with White Background ($80) but paid an additional $20 in the studio in order to add a third person to the photo (our son). The package not only included being shared the digital files, but we were able to choose 3 small prints and 2 slightly larger prints (I think they're 5x ). 20 minutes is all we needed to take photos for our special announcement. The employee was super friendly and let us start early. She showed us how to adjust the camera and use the clicker, and check lighting. They also had a handful of seating props, and costume-ish props to use. We also had to go outside of the room to get her to help with a shot, and she paused the timer to help us. It's a great no frills on a budget option to have when you need some high quality pics but don't want to commit to a professional photographer. read more

Fotogenic has your back with their self photoshoot studio! i absolutely love the fact that i can be extremely comfortable in front of a camera because it's just the camera and i in the room! i suddenly had a boost in confidence when i was taking photos. my bf and i wanted to do the colored backdrop - DUO package which was 20 minutes of photos, 5 minutes of photo selection, and you get two big photos & 2 small photos of four photos of your choosing. i loved that you can also get all digital copies of your images taken during the session by writing a google review. they have multiple chairs and props to select from to take your perfect shot. i genuinely think this is a great option for family photos and any activity just for fun! read more

We booked 50mins and easily took enough photos/poses for about 85 pictures (no outfit changes). When you arrive, they are so friendly and check you into your room. They go over the instructions on how to take photos and they provide different stools and props for you to use. I really enjoyed taking photos with my husband. It was so fun having him direct me with the poses I saved as inspo. It would probably also be a fun experience for friends or families to take themed photos. It's me and my friends first time going here and it was such a a blast! It's located in San Mateo and they have parking in the back. It's located upstairs and you need to call them to get a code to come in. Once you're in you're welcomed by a beautiful open space and the worker is SUPER nice and will show you the ropes on how to work everything. The studio is filled with so many props and stools and chairs so you can use them to your advantage. You're allowed to bring your own props. So we brought balloons, cake and candles. The pictures came out so good! It's great to come here for any occasion. Pets are even allowed so if you wanna cherish memories with your fur baby this is the place to go!! The studio itself is not too big, it looks like there are two rooms. The room we got was spacy and had numerous props! The staff member was very friendly and informative, she was very kind and gave us an extra 2 minutes when there was a hiccup to our appointment. The whole process is easy, you have a clicker, pose and take cute photos! There is an iPad where you can see the photo you just took. So glad my friend introduced this place to me! it was the perfect place to have a fun and easy family/maternity photoshoot...esp with a toddler who has a mind of his own. Being able to snap our photos gave us the freedom of choosing our own poses (which we pinterested before heading over) and we felt no pressure to get the "perfect" shot right away.
