I found Danielle through a recommendation in a San Mateo Mom's group. I'm really picky when it comes to photographers and looked at at least 10 different photographers. I liked how Danielle used light in her sample photos and that her post-processing felt bright and light, not too harsh/contrasting like I've seen with some other photographers. She was very responsive and flexible in working with us, even though we were a slightly larger group with young kids. She was prompt and professional but fun with the kids during our shoot. I found Danielle through Yelp, and it's only appropriate that I also add in my review that prompted me to hire her for my photos in the first place! She has a beautiful portfolio to look through, and her messaging was extremely thorough and prompt - replete with exact directions and parking instructions for the photo shoot locations, whether she has clothes/props for you to borrow, and pricing. She's also very down-to-earth and pleasant to work with...definitely takes a lot of pressure off when you're not used to posing for photos (surprisingly hard work!). Her prices are more on the premium end, but I have to say, after seeing the photos, I think her services are definitely worth the cost. There is just that soft, glowy, ethereal look about her photos--definitely recommend that you check them out on her portfolio. She also includes digitals as well as prints (or album as well, depending on how many photos you buy), and I can't wait to get the prints as they looked beautiful on Zoom. We loved working with Danielle for our extended family photo shoot. We have a blended family with four generations, and there were 11 of us in total (including one toddler and one baby). Are you wondering if professional maternity photos are worth it? I can say hands down they are totally worth it! Working with Danielle was so easy as she is so accommodating and laid back, but gives you direction on how to pose for pictures. We have not done professional photos before, so it was nice to have her expertise in having us pose for our session. I am so glad we decided to work with her. She responds so quickly with emails and takes the time to ask what you want out of the session and will even offer some dresses for you to use during the maternity session! I had my own 2 dresses already, but it was nice to know that was offered. All I really wanted for the session was a beach location and Danielle had some locations ready to suggest. Her turn around time for pictures is fast too! I expected a timeframe of 3-4 weeks based on our discussion, but got them back in 2.5 weeks!! She met us at the most gorgeous place for our shoot and brought with her some adorable props! Not to mention some surprises to keep my active children from getting bored.
