It's funny because when I used to work around this area I never noticed Found upstairs on the 2nd floor of Kerrytown. Since it moved downstairs to the larger space (more than several years now), I've fallen in love with this store. The inside of the store feels homey and warm with the exposed brick walls and wooden ceiling beans and countertops, yet modern and chic with different textures from the tableware and furniture/room decor items, novel stationary, and beautifully packaged candles and beauty items. There are clear areas for each type of product, and they feature a selection of home accessories, artwork, decor, bath and beauty, stationary, jewelry which are unique and many made by local artists or smaller international producers. I can usually find something beautiful, thoughtful or unexpected here, and I especially love their candle selection. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and helpful each time I've come, even if I didn't buy anything. This time around I did purchase an organic soy candle--it smelled so good--plus isn't a commonly found scent or brand--so I couldn't resist! As some other reviews have mentioned, as a local mom and pop shop the prices are a bit higher than what you might find elsewhere, but I think it's totally worth it to shop local and support the smaller producers that are sold here!

I am the first to admit that I do love a gift shop. I see a trend in my reviews and I always give them good reviews. This one will be no different. Found is a beautiful store filled with beautiful things. I loved how they had items at all price points and most made by small businesses. The staff here goes out of their way to be helpful, answer questions and make suggestions. An added bonus is the store is practically attached to a Sweetwaters coffee shop. You can pre game with some caffeine and then get your shop on!

So many cute items waiting to be discovered at Found

Found is easily my favorite store in Kerrytown Marketplace & Shops. There are so many beautiful things in here & the inventory is always changing as well so every time I visit, I encounter new, cute items that I want to purchase. Similar to the store directly upstairs from Found, this store is fairly pricey. I've spent a pretty penny here because their goods so perfectly compliment my space, they are MUST HAVES! Definitely check Found out around the holidays as well in particular because they do have some good sales. This place is the perfect store to shop for you if you're looking to add some personality into your home & also a great place to search for gifts for your loved ones.

FIRST let me say I loved it! ONLY cool stuff and beautifully crafted goods here! UNIQUE sale was 15% of anything longer than a yard stick. NICE selection of home decor and textiles, art and Michigan/Ann Arbor specialty items. DELiGHTFULLY quirky water bottles, cups and mugs and other gifties.

Super cute store! Staff was friendly, parking was meh....it's Kerrytown Ann Arbor. I came on a Friday summer afternoon and parking was no problem...but I imagine during farmer's market time (just a few steps down the street) it could be a challenge.I found some items I wanted to buy, but it was just expensive for my wallet. Really cool, unique items to support local artists!

I love this store. I mean LOVE. It's one of those stores where I can look at every single thing. Most places I am in and out of quickly a. D feel like I have seen everything fine . Here I don't wa t to miss anything. They have a variety of items from gifts, jewelry, art, to household items.

Lol this is so wrong tho

I found (lol that pun was unintended until I wrote out the whole sentence) this store super cute! If you want a knickknack for yourself or a gift, this is the place to find it. The staff is also quick to chat with you if you find something particularly interesting.

Imagine a family-- from kids to parents to grandma-- accumulating a house full of stuff from the 1930s through the 1950s, then having the house boarded up and left for half a century. Fifty years later, the house is opened up, and a cornucopia of early 20th century stuff is put on display like an eccentric yard sale. That's exactly what Found feels like. As another reviewer has said, part of the fun of Found is in the way things are displayed. You will find a cabinet with see-through drawer fronts with a sign encouraging you to explore the drawers to find unusual small items. Another dresser has drawers filled with fabric and craft materials. You will find vintage gift card boxes, ancient typewriter keys, old silver jewelry, hand embroidered tablecloths and more at Found. They also offer a small selection of new merchandise, ranging from candy to cards to candles and soaps. It's a fun place to explore. If you know someone who likes 1950s housewife kitsch or someone who would appreciate a Scrabble tile to add to her charm bracelet, this would be the place to shop.

Yup, you have 'Found' your local treasure store in Kerrytown! This place is a nice collection of antique-ish items, local jewelry, fanciful charms, soy and wax based candles and many, many more intriguing items. They used to be located upstairs in the Kerrytown Market but are now downstairs with more visibility. The new store has great windows and feels more 'free' than the upstairs location which could get rather snug. They sell Ferndale-based Green Daffodil Soy Candles which have amazing scents like vanilla musk, cucumber mint, coconut lime and even one for headache relief! My favorite is the 'spa day' which literally can transport you to your favorite beach with just a light of a candle. It 'burns' the stress right out of you! You'll be sure to find something unique at every visit. It's also a good place to look for a gift for that person that 'has-everything'.

    Cool finds!

This is my favorite store for cool house decorations or jewelry from local artists. You can spend a lot fast, but each piece has a story.

I also saw a lot of Baggu items, which is a brand that I really like. Lots of stuff I hadn't seen in person before, like the teeny tiny backpacks. They also had a lot of local art, jewelry, cards, candles, and more. It's a great spot for finding a gift for yourself or your favorite gal pals! Unfortunately I was not greeted when I came in nor when I was browsing, which I feel is such a small thing that can really make a difference when shopping. The person at the counter was with another customer, but even just a quick, "hi, welcome in!" can be so nice. That said, I would come back in the future just to check out what they have in stock.

Located in Kerrytown across the street from Detroit Street Filling Station, this woman-owned business is stocked full of so many unique and thoughtfully curated and sourced items. You want to come here for all the most unique and gorgeous looking goodies to gift to yourself and your loved ones and make sure to stop by often as they have a rotating selection of goodies throughout the seasons and months as well! They always have gorgeous window displays, the employees are always so happy to see you and the service is wonderful, and this shop is just so dreamy! Things are definitely on the pricey side here, but everything is really high quality and they feature a ton of local artisans in the area as well. There's nothing I love more than an intentional shop and you can truly feel how intentional Thistle & Bess is in every detail their store contains. Absolutely lovely and always worth a peruse whenever you find yourself in the Ann Arbor area!
