This place is AMAZING. It has so many incredible features you would not believe it........... I lived in the "queens spot" upstairs center apt. overlooking the most incredible ocean view of my lifetime. I would have never left if it hadn't have been for my grandmother needing my immediate care and housing....... turns out I regret even buying a house now and wish I were still there. Nonetheless.... Centrally located only 2 blocks from the most amazing rec. trail, downtown, cannary row, shopping, restaurants, aquarium...... clean, great management/maintenance...always friendly and on top of everything. NO COMPLAINTS EVER. I would go back if I could get out of buying this house!!!!!! I would recommend this apt complex to my best of friends and family and my time there will be sincerely remembered as one of the best of my life. (did I mention ocean views ?!) wow! (and great neighbors)

Some apartments have views of the ocean and fireplaces. For the price it really can't be beat. The carport and storage is a huge plus as well since we can store things in their that would normally clog up a closet in our apartment. As for Cali B. (below) Welcome to the California coastline. Things get moldy and if you don't know that you soon will. You live a block from the flipping ocean. Get off your high horse, you sound stuck up. And from the looks of it you use yelp only to write bad reviews. I hate those Yelpers! I'm glad you moved out. boom. The apartments are clean, quaint, quiet and the people here are cool as well. I love BBQ'ing on my deck. Never heard a dog bark once. The landlords are extremely attentive and take care of requests ASAP, like a text.... then knock knock. Scary fast. With Happy Girl Kitchen next door how can you go wrong!

I was very worried about the idea of renting, especially because I'm a very particular person who likes everything to be just right. I had my doubts that anyone would be able to meet my standards - but I was wrong. From the moment I met Dixie and Francisco at 17 Mile Drive Village, I immediately started to feel at ease. They made every change I asked for to our apartment exactly the way I wanted it. Every little detail was perfect. Honestly, I found it hard to believe, but they did it--and they made me feel so comfortable and at home that all of my anxieties melted away. I really can't thank them enough for turning what I feared would be an incredibly difficult situation into one that I truly enjoy. Being a bit of a cynic, I then thought that this happiness probably wouldn't last, and that once we moved in the level of service and care might fade. Once again, I was wrong. That was almost two years ago, and to this day they continue to take incredibly good care of us and make sure all our needs are met. I truly couldn't be happier. I'm living in one of the most beautiful places in the world, in a wonderful community, with two of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet.

Absolutely unacceptable experience…read more Pacific Grove Rentals canceled my confirmed reservation twice, both times claiming a "pricing error." Not once, but twice. At that point, it stops feeling like a mistake and starts feeling like a complete disregard for customers and their travel plans. I had already invested time planning my trip and relied on the reservation being honored. Instead, I was left scrambling to find alternative accommodations while rates elsewhere had increased. A confirmation should mean something. Apparently, with Pacific Grove Rentals, it doesn't. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability. Rather than standing behind a confirmed booking and making the situation right, the reservation was simply canceled, leaving me to deal with the consequences. That is not how a reputable vacation rental company operates. The entire experience felt unprofessional, unreliable, and incredibly frustrating. If you value your vacation plans and don't want to risk having your reservation canceled after you've already made arrangements, I would strongly recommend booking with a different company. A company's true character is revealed when something goes wrong. Based on my experience, Pacific Grove Rentals failed that test completely.

Every morning, you could hear the neighbor coughing at 5am, so we slept poorly. None of tvs worked, but then they blamed us for it--not a 20th century smart tv. If you don't want to lose your deposit and do want to get good sleep, do not stay here. I am writing to formally dispute the $1,430 deduction from my security deposit for cleaning services, including carpets and windows. Under California Civil Code §1950.5, landlords may only deduct for cleaning necessary to return the unit to the condition it was in at move-in, excluding normal wear and tear. After two years of tenancy, standard carpet wear and light dust are to be expected. Unless there was damage or extreme filth -- which I contest -- these cleaning charges appear excessive and unjustified.

You can tell there is real attention to detail in how everything is run. Tammy, the property manager, is truly amazing. She genuinely cares about the residents and takes pride in keeping the community safe, organized, and welcoming. She is responsive, professional, and handles things quickly and efficiently. It is rare to find someone who is both highly organized and genuinely kind, but Tammy is exactly that. There are clear policies and community guidelines in place, and they were communicated well and applied consistently. I appreciated that standards were upheld because it helped keep the property clean, respectful, and safe for everyone living there. Living here felt comfortable and secure, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the property and supporting the residents. I absolutely recommend this community to anyone looking for a well-maintained and thoughtfully managed place to live. I have even recommended it to others attending or planning to attend DLI.

Don't fall for the advertisement--you won't be using it. The jacuzzi is not working most of the time. The gym equipment is falling apart, and there are no treadmills in the gym. The laundry machines are very old and cannot accommodate larger items like sheets or blankets. There are lots of cats walking around, and in some areas it smells like cat urine. This place is far too expensive for what it offers, especially since none of the amenities function properly. The manager is extremely nosy and will chase you down if you don't break down even a small box for recycling. She lives on the premises and seems to consider the place her own, constantly watching people from her window. If you have visitors, you'd better inform her in advance, or she will chase them down with questions. If this place were around $1,800, I could tolerate all of the above, but for nearly $3,000, it is absolutely not worth the money.

When discharged from CHOMP, I needed placement in a skilled nursing facility before going home and…read morediscussed with discharge the facilities with immediate openings that met my medical and rehab needs. I am so happy I decided on Canterbury Woods. Their nursing personnel are their greatest asset. I had a complicated med administration schedule with multiple overlapping medical diagnoses that would have caused havoc at a facility that wasn't as patient-centered and flexible. A culture of respect and care seemed to be strong at every level of the organization's structure. I observed administrators frequently interacting with staff and patients . The environment was homey, not clinical or stark. There were some oddities-such as the location of the shower facilities, but these were comparatively minor quirks. There was a bright activity room that encouraged patient interaction and an adjacent sunny flower filled patio available for patients. I was struck by the level and quality of staff-patient interactions and noted that the staff wasn't permanently attached to computers but focused on patients and their needs. A tech from CHOMP comes once a week to do blood draws, the in-house physician read my file before she saw me on her "rounds" She was observant, sensitive, listened , was compassionate, and did a good job coordinating my care. Some of the other highlights? The OT and PT staffs are superior. The food is incredible, and there is a set "comfort food" menu available for every meal service if the options on offer aren't appealing. I know I am forgetting something, but whatever it is most likely positive.

The Assisted Living Facility staff cater to a residents with a wide range of needs and abilities, providing the most reliable and consistent care of any ALF I have seen. The Independent Living Facility provides delicious meals, supportive living on a personalized scale, and options for meaningful and engaging social activities. All of this takes place in a clean, serene, and beautiful environment. This multi-level care community is a truly special place, by far the best in the County in my opinion. Thank you to each and every staff who make this place so fantastic.
