The prices are incredible for the quality of paper and raised ink. The shop is not fancy. It's a small mom and pop type of place. Hey Brides! I got my wedding programs, and menu cards here! So glad i did. This place is a secret gem!! Don't let the exterior or the interior decor fool you. The shop is not cute, does not have scented lavender paper, or pretty lighting. What it does have is: 1. Customer Service- the lady who actually does the bridal stuff was recovering from surgery, so Stephen (very personable and knowledgeable guy) went into action, and went through step by step the whole process, even explaining the different types of paper and printing process. He never rushed me, and was awesome in responding to all emails. He delivered earlier than expected. 2. Great Selections: They can pretty much do anything you can imagine. I saw some of their wedding invitations, and they were gorgeous. 3. Fantastic Quality (exactly the same paper as private stationary stores, and chains like Papyrus. 4. I simple cannot say enough about my experience here. This is a mother-son business and Steven (son) did an excellent job of explaining, recommending and basically walking us (Fiancee an I) through our wedding invitations. I didn't know how much could be involved in getting invitations. Color scheme, size, pockets, no pockets, folds, font size, style you name it. Steven knew what he was doing, offered recommendations he felt would work, what wouldn't work and so on. We never felt rushed and the price was definitely within our budget. Prices here are extremely competitive. Quite frankly, I didn't see a better place, per price of an invitation out there, but this is only my opinion. You DO need to make an appointment to discuss and review wedding invitations. Last, our invites were done extremely quick. Once we picked our design it literally took 1 to 2 days to complete. Our first visit to this location, my fiancé got turned away on a saturday afternoon because "they were only open to work on personal things". Second visit I rushed over before they closed and I asked for insight on their response card printing and a parade of questions followed. I hadn't brought my invitation so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to have whoever the lady was behind the desk to turn me away. I asked for examples of previous invitations and the response was "well there's tons of examples I can show you but without an example from you there's no real point". I originally went to fountain printing because of all the wonderful reviews. I emailed the company about my BabyShower invitations. I explained what I had in mind as as what kind of paper I wanted to get it printed on and etc. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day during my lunch time. I get there and a lady tells me that as much as they would like to help me. I'm looking about $100 to print the invitations for 25 sheets and that it was best if I take my invitations to be printed as staples, or fedex. Of course, I felt disappointed just because they could have told me this via email or by phone to save me a drive and a lunch. She did suggest for me to go to Kelly paper for envelopes, which I did so thank you. At the end, I was able to print my invitations at Copy4less in Irvine. I bought wedding invites at Michaels and wanted thermography printing. I learned that most print shops do not do custom thermography or if they did, prices were outrages! Fountain Printing was very helpful, professional and reasonable in pricing. Steven was very attentive and the turn around for the print jobs were less than 2-days. Fountain printing was awesome! I had looked into multiple places to print my invitations, including online shops. Everywhere in town was extremely expensive. I was uncomfortable just ordering something online, you never know what the colors will actually look li,e and I wanted to be able to feel what I would be mailing out to all of my guests. I found fountain printing and met with Steven to talk about my options and pricing. He was extremely nice, easy to work with, and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need/want. I had a great experience and absolutely loved my invitations. I went with the thermography, a solid middle ground, I couldn't justify letterpress. I am so glad I did, it turned out great. I've gotten so many compliments on my invitations. I felt his prices were extremely fair, if not generous. One word of caution, don't go there and expect a cutesy invitation store. I highly recommend this place. I am getting married and had done tons of research on ways to do my invitations. I paid $250 to get my save the dates done through Sugar Press and knew that was expensive but thought it would be worth it. I was very disappointed in the save the dates I received. The service was ok but I feel like I could have designed and printed better invitaions myself for a quater of the price. So I decided to design the invites myself. I am so glad I did. I decided I wanted white thermography writing on coral paper for my invities. I started calling around to get quotes. After calling about 6 printers who told me they couldn't help me because I needed so few invites or they didn't do white thermography, I called and talked with Steven. I was shocked at how patient he was with me. He explained the thermography printing process to me, and why printers can't do white thermography. He said he would be willing to help me come up with some other ideas and options, even after I told him I only needed about 35 invites. And he did. He helped me completely design my invites and direction cards and even took the time to help me find images to put on it. Then he helped me come up with an amazing layout, start to finish, and had so many great ideas and input. I couldn't be happier with them! I have gotten so many compliments on them. BEST INVITATIONS FOR A WEDDING! Carolyn and Steven did an outstanding job on our invitations!! I called Carolynn 2 months before our wedding and she got everything together VERY quickly. Carolyn had beautiful examples to show and we customized the invitations with our wedding colors, grey and red. She even surprised us with the lined envelopes! Everyone that has seen these invitations are totally blown away with how beautiful and classy they are. Steven was great with the editing portion of the invitation wording... we were very detailed and particular. Carolyn and Steven were outstanding to work with and above all, wonderful people. Attention brides-to-be and anyone else who needs printing! I am the wedding coordinator for my sister's upcoming wedding in 2013, and we went to several popular printing places - specifically to get invitations printed in the Vietnamese and the English languages. Although none of the places we visited were unsatisfactory, there was just something that we needed more - someone to pay attention to the details. I was so glad that I popped into Fountain Printing after reading reviews on Yelp. I was welcomed with a friendly voice by the name of Steven. Although he was in the middle of a project, and I had no appointment, he immediately took an interest in the wedding invitation that I was in the process of designing - REGARDLESS of whether we were going to hire Steven or not. Steven honestly is just a helpful and kind person. After the first meeting, I knew we had found our printer for the wedding invitations. I put all the graphics and wording on Adobe Illustrator and Steven made sure that we were satisfied with everything, from the wording to the colors. His prices are extremely fair, even for two-color printing on invitations. We provided the paper, but he has contracts with companies who also provide beautiful paper if you needed it. We printed both the Vietnamese and the English invitations, and when I came to pick them up, they were even better than I expected. The man who does the actual printing is Mr. "Phong" - he is the sweetest gentleman I have met in the printing industry - quiet-spoken and ethical. I only met him on the pick-up and I can see he is really careful with what he prints. I highly recommend Fountain Printing if you want quality printing along with patient and wonderful customer service. (On a side note, if you are going to print in 2 colors, I highly suggest you order lots of extra paper to make sure the colors come out right.) read more
