To this day, I can say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr Nguyen got my Little ones acid reflux under control, which allowed her (and me) to sleep longer stretches at a time. Visits rarely resulted in clear diagnoses or solutions, often requiring repeated appointments for unresolved issues. The final straw was my son being sick for over six weeks with severely swollen tonsils. Despite multiple visits and two rounds of antibiotics, there was no improvement and no proactive follow-up. On a third visit, we were sent for an X-ray only to confirm what was already visible. I had to call multiple times to obtain results, a school note, and guidance. Dr. Ha did not personally follow up, and no voicemail was ever left. When I calmly expressed my disappointment with the lack of follow-through, Dr. Ha responded defensively and snapped back rather than addressing the concern. Only after continued insistence was appropriate treatment prescribed--care that should have been provided earlier. Pediatric care should be attentive, responsive, and respectful. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience, and I would not recommend Dr. Ha.

We opted into the concierge program and it is the best decision we have ever made. The ability to text Dr Kar when we have a medical concern after hours or on weekends is invaluable. It is worth every penny and has come in handy countless times. Our son had a life threatening illness in 2024 that multiple specialists overlooked, and Dr Kar is the only reason he was able to get admitted and into surgery. He was a critical voice for us at CHOC when we needed an advocate to push for treatment, coordinate care among specialists, and get prescriptions and home health services figured out. I genuinely do not know what would have happened had we not had Dr Kar on our side. No one ever wants to be in a situation where their child has a life threatening medical condition but if you find yourself there like we did, Dr Kar will be in your court 100%.

We switched to Chacon who then had us consistently come in just for weigh-ins... and then bill over $200 per visit. She made several suggestions that many of the lactation consults I spoke with disagreed with (like adding formula to breast milk), pushed getting bloodwork done when we told her we were uncomfortable with that since he JUST had some done in the hospital with the state, and would insist we weren't following her directions and misheard her when both my husband and I heard exactly what she said, did it, and only had it backfire. She then threatened us with admitting our son. She's really good at making you wait an hour in the room once you're there. When I switched pediatricians after the final straw of her not listening to us AGAIN, the new pediatrician even commented on how strange her "advice" was. Since switching, our son has been THRIVING. I highly don't recommend this place. Come if you like wasting $200 to have your child weighed repeatedly when you already have a scale at home. When I tried to cancel our last appointment SEVERAL times, they wouldn't. And it's not like I wasn't calling in advance either. The front desk staff was just too incompetent to actually hit *cancel*. Updating to add that they never told us that it would cost more to come with insurance than paying cash and when I asked after finding out, we were told this: "Once the insurance is billed, we cannot update the accounts to cash pay. Please call our office at (714) 509-8600 to speak with a representative regarding payment options. Thank you." What a joke of a place. Worst doctors. Worst billers. Worst front desk staff.
